Signature Link To Page a good Idea I have that I cant do @trap

Recommended Posts

ok, I was thinking, what if we had a signature system that linked to a page (like 'signature.php') on our Xisto website or something. This way, we can include javascript, because I have a sig rotator on mine:

http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/

I think that this would be great, or mabie just let us have php in our signatures, so we can go

<?phpinclude "http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/;

so we can update a signature for every forum site in a few lines of code.

Tell me what you think...

Having user's PHP scripts executed on Xisto would be dangerous since a member could potentially make a poorly coded script (maybe infinite loop) that would kill the forum all together. If you want to display a random signature, however, then follow my guide: http://forums.xisto.com/topic/24925-how-to-make-a-sig-rotator-for-people-with-multiple-sigs/page-4#entry189391

I think he means that each time a signature is shown / refreshed it will change, so if you have a lot of signatures you dont need to have them all at once, but can rotate them, so you can still show them off to people.
