alexia 0 Report post Posted May 27, 2005 So, we all know google, the godly search engine. Yet there's also Yahoo that many people use. If everyone used both, it should be normal to expect more, and better results. Well at http://yagoohoogle.com/ you can search both engines at the same time! Both results are displayed on the same page in seperate frames.Personally I think it's not such a bad idea. The logo even looks cool. Tell me what you think about this...
Shackman 0 Report post Posted May 28, 2005 Hmm....this nifty tool is goood for comparing results, like maybe your page rank for your website in a yahoo and google for a certain keyword. However, it takes up too much screenspace....so it would not be good and practical for everyday searching.I would prefer to do it in 2 tabs...with reference to mozilla firefox internet browser....but for comparing results, Yahoohoogle can be quite effecient.Interesting idea I must say....but there's a logo 'Tiwn Engine' at the top. Is this website owned by any certain company?-Shackman
twentyinches631 0 Report post Posted May 28, 2005 Wow thats awesome. It's probably more of a novelty than something useful, but I'll use it from time to time. My resolution is 1400x1050 (yeah a little large) and it looked perfect.
ana 0 Report post Posted May 28, 2005 wow, I actually think that is really cool. and usefull. because supposedly if you are trying to do a good search for something it is good to use more than one search engine (so I have been told at school) and I am much too lazy for that and only use google (which always has the best results imo). I think I will really use this page do you think it was changed to Twingine.com because they're not allowed to use the logo/name/likeness ??
karlo 0 Report post Posted May 28, 2005 Hmm... that gives me an idea... i will use my php skills to make a webstie similar to that, and a lot more features... what do you think ?
Inspiron 0 Report post Posted May 28, 2005 Hey that's cool..!But it's kinda scripting that can be done using javascript and php..And of course using frames...Hmm.. that gives me an idea of creating a multisearch page...From Google to Yahoo, to MSN Search to Ask Jeeves... All in 1 page...That's super cool...But in the end, the user might come thinking it as a pest.. with lots and lots of results that he/she can easy gets blurred...Anyway, it's some innovation from http://yagoohoogle.com/And I'm going to use that often...Thanks for that... gallo 0 Report post Posted May 28, 2005 Too bad now it disappeared....Maybe you guys would like to take a look at the following engine http://twinengine.com/ Personally I think it looks very cool with the split window for each engine (yahoo and google at the same time)! Joshua 0 Report post Posted July 5, 2005 I've always liked yahoo better but lately have found myself using google a couple times. I still like yahoo better, and google is just a search engine without all the extra stuff yahoo has.
iGuest 3 Report post Posted June 27, 2009 opinion on twingineYagoohoogleI think it is a great idea for comparing as well as measuring the differences between both search engine also for advertiser to find out where they are posisioning based on their nature of advertisings. Overall I like it and I have been using it for past few days. MOHAMMAD -reply by Mohammad Favakeh
sandeep95 0 Report post Posted August 5, 2009 It is a good idea but the name is too long so people can not remember it. And all i see is a white page.
SaraInWasteland 0 Report post Posted August 19, 2009 It depends on what I'm doing with the website in question. I absolutely love Yahoo!'s services such as mail (although I don't use Yahoo! Mail anymore, I did for a very long time) and I am especially fond of Yahoo! Messenger. However, if I'm just searching, then I go with Google. It loads very quickly and it's very efficient if you're just searching for something. There's no need for me to wait for all the extra stuff to load up when I'm just wanting to search for a recipe or something. Therefore, when it comes to services, I go with Yahoo! but when it comes to using the actual search engine, I go with Google.
