same for me, i used to use those sticky paper notes long time ago, because i forget a lot . in work, about 4 years ago. i remember how my computer monitor is filled with those little yellow papers around it . after that when i get married i was always forget what we need from food, till my fridge become empty . so again the sticky notes or even any paper on the fridge is so useful to remember me of what i need.and till now, i use them and they work like charm for me. but i must say that the past few months i was so busy and i always i have a lot to do. so i tried to find another option but nothing worked for me, so returned again to the physical version of sticky notes. even i am now out of sticky paper notes and searching for more, but i use the calender as a substitution, i write all the appointments on it and the things i should do daily on it. but of course there is not enough place to write a lot, but better than nothing , right .

great words from a great person you just said what i am eager so hard to say since i read this thread, but i must say that i am chicken out and was afraid to blow up the fire mood of anwiii since i know that he is in a bad mood these days. and between i was tending to write the same after a couple of days or about when i know that he is in a good news to argue with .

but when i read your words sheepdog, i couldn't stop myself from saying i agree with you TOTALLY.
the first one i noticed here, and who was replying to my threads was anwiii.
the first one who pissed my off here in this forums, was anwiii.
the first one who i was afraid from his replies and his criticism even he was not a mod or admin was anwiii.
the first one who became my friend was him.

but if you decided to do so then i really respect your wish, even if i didn't like it. after all i know that everyone has his own limits. and i remember too he told me once that "he will still coming to this forums till it closed" but if he decided to leave it then that means he reaches his limits and we must understand and respect his wish. but i can't say that i can accept that right now, and i will still hoping he will think again about it and change his mind.

and if he didn't, me and sheepdog can use or "evil side" (from the point of view of anwiii,each woman has an evil side) so we can use it and drag him back again and i assure you that i will have some women backups to represent the TRUE EVIL OF WOMEN .

i don't like plugins that prevent spam comments personally. it's the lazy man's way to control spam. i have my comments set to admin approval. i would rather look through all of them myself. once in a while, you have spammer who will spam your blog non stop with comments. with that, you just block the ip directly. the reason why i don't like spam filters is the same reason why ligitimate mail gets sent to your spam folder. i hate that! so although i have my own opinion on that akismet plugin i never enabled, i can see the purpose for it.
kindlewirelessreadingdevices nobody will ever search for the other one people search for. as well as the non plural word which actually gets more searches where i am on the second page for that as well without doing much. but i will take a piece of the 7,000 searches once i get on the main page but my mind is elsewhere right now.....

i think my next post on how to seo will be about how to get ahead of the bigger websites like amazon. according the my example site, amazon holds the top 3 spots. people think it's tough to get ahead of them, but it's not as hard as people think if they realize the legitimate theories behind seo and not assume too many false theories and rumors.

thanks a lot to your reply. and i share you your opinion. and i will disable aksimet plugin, i know i want to do that long time ago. because even if others taking advantages of my site by taking backlink from my site. but i think it is ok, since i have fun reading all those comments either they were spam or not . i feel like i am more connected to my site than now. and i really think that if my site isn't well known better than before then i won't get spam any more . so, no more aksimet any more and thanks again anwiii.

now i want to ask something, according to what i read till now, comments is important to bring traffics, and i am now using "akismet plugin" to avoid spam. and i must say since i started using it i rarely get any comments, and my website's rank in google be worse. as i remember, i read recently a topic a few days ago to avoid akismet plugin and use anyone else, so, what do you think?? should i keep it or use another one, and if so which one do you recommended??

i just read this thread, and it is really hurt to read all that . i joined this place about a year ago, and i got a lot from here, i got friends, knowledge, help whenever i need and both my sites are built after i joined here. this place means a lot to me, the members and people around too. and it is really sad to read all that even when i know that every word is true. for me i will still come and go, to post and do my best to participate, but unfortunately the last two months i was not active as usual, because i have a new life to build now, and a lot to be done. i hope i can do more and be active more, but sorry to say i can't. i will hope things will be change for the best for this new year from all my heart.

ok i fixed it and found the solutions, hope it will be useful for everyone

- open your httpd.config file from open C:> xampp>apache>config>httpd.config and search for those lines

# Change this to Listen on specific IP addresses as shown below to # prevent Apache from glomming onto all bound IP addresses.##Listen 0.0.0.0:80#Listen [::]:80Listen 80

change the port from 80 to 85 for example and save the changes.

- open the httpd-ssl.config file from :> xampp>apache>config>extra>httpd-ssl.config
and search for those lines

# When we also provide SSL we have to listen to the # standard HTTP port (see above) and to the HTTPS port## Note: Configurations that use IPv6 but not IPv4-mapped addresses need two#       Listen directives: "Listen [::]:443" and "Listen 0.0.0.0:443"##Listen 0.0.0.0:443#Listen [::]:443Listen 443

And change it to 445 for example and save.

- search for those lines

#   General setup for the virtual host    DocumentRoot "C:/xampp/htdocs"    ServerName localhost:443

And change 443 to 445 and save.

that's it.

restart xampp, and be sure to type the path for your htdocs folder in the browser not localhost because you are using another port now.

yeah it is weird how forums work fine in every browser except firefox. i even couldn't enter the chat room in firefox. and it is sad to face such a problem right now because the forums are hardly active the last few months. i really hope things will change soon. thanks for your reply guys.

yeah reformatting is the best option now. and i suggest you not only to reformat but to choose the full format option not the quick format option. full format is recommended when you have a strong virus. it will check everything more precisely more than the quick format. i don't know about vista but i have this option in windows xp pro and i am sure there is a similar one in vista too.after you done installation, try to make a full computer scan for all other drivers in case the virus spread in other folder. and do the same for any external hard or flash you had used when your system was infected. good luck.

i have APACHE installed on my pc, it is a free package from XAMPP. i use it to test the updates in my sites locally because all of them are using PHP and MYSQL. so it is obviously using the port 80.the problem began after i installed "microsoft visual web developer 2010 express" it has a built in server working with it like IIS. and since then when i try to open XAMPP but it is not working of course because "microsoft visual web developer 2010 express" is using the port 80 now. so i tried to change the port in http.config in apache to 8080, restarted apache, but still not working from the XAMPP control panal. even i tried to open it from bin folder but still get the error page when i try to access localhost. i am not sure if i am accessing the localhost in the right way or not, i tried writing the new port but it didn't work for me http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/
so what should i write in the browser now to open localhost using port 8080??

i am wondering am i the only one or the forum loads very slow to all of you???the whole last week i was hardly could open Xisto, it loads very slow that i feel boring from waiting and then close the whole page.add to that every time i log in the forum logged me off and when i log in again it keeps me online. and always i get a page of error when i log in the first time. so i really want to know, is this happening to everyone or it is just me?? maybe the forum doesn't like me anymore and decided to piss me off .and by the way, i tested my network connection and it works fine, all other websites load fast for me only the forum, i even checked that in many browsers. and what the weird thing is, all that happened in a sudden. therefor i am wondering what is going on here??

hi,i want to work as a web designer/ developer freelancer online. but i can't find the best way to do that. till now, i signed up in freelancer.com, and i was placings bids there for more than a month but i didn't get ONE BID . even i offered the lowest price with the minimum days that job could be done. even after giving them samples of my work, and a brief about me and my skills. the last thing i am thinking of now, is "reviews". i think that employers choose freelancers with high reviews only, but how could i get reviews if i didn't win any bid!!??so,any advises, or new ideas could be helpful??or any other freelancer's websites recommended that anyone tried them before and how to work on them as a freelancer??any information or advices will help a lot, since i am new in this field, thanks in advance.

well, if everything in your system working fine then really no need to worry about it or delete anything from your system file. and if your browser not working properly, try to reinstall it or upgrade it to the newest version, or use another one like firefox or opera and see what will happen.if you decided to delete that file any way, i suggest you to create a restore point before it. so that you can return your system to its actual performance. if you don't know how to do that, here is the way and it is in windows xp pro.start> all programs> accessories> system tools> system restore> create a restore point and continue with the restorations procedure.

well i didn't hear about those files before. and deleting anything from your windows 32 is not recommended since they are they system files unless you know exactly what you are doing. so, why don't you start from the begining and explain how is your browser messed up?? maybe we can find another solutions.

I just got my account fixed 10 minutes ago. everything seems to be reset even my over due balance of 50 dollars if I recall correctly. That's a good thing since I was not even being actively hosting yet the invoices still came in. Sadly though I was hoping my data would still be there but if its looks like a full reset then I've lost all files on my hosting account.
I hope my cents will still continue work as it is.

glade to hear that, and sorry for your lost, well loosing data is a bad thing. but why did you lost them all?? i think you should pm one of xisto staff, or submit a ticket. try it maybe you can return some of them. any way i hope you luck, and hope everything gonna be alrigh.
