Protect Your Codes protection from illegal copying
whafizi replied to whafizi's topic in Programming
well you might think it that way, while others might not. in some manner, for an example, if you are selling php program, you might want the client to have a test drive and try it at their system, but might not want them to be able to see the true source code or make another copy or edit your php program. what do you think? -

hmm.. maybe...but do you know who is zend.com? they are the original creator of PHP language. php.net and zend.com are both owned by them. php.net are open source oriented site, meanwhile zend.com are more to commercial oriented site, i think.... just to make sure you guys understand, this apps not just encrypt the password, but all the content of php files into unreadable charactors. the main idea is nobody will be able to read your code or to copy them. the password encryption was only one of the sample. -
hasbang, just want to know your age?...OS selection;for me, it really depends on what we would like to used the pc for. because in web design, PC are used for two tasks:1. designing2. serving ( web server)Designing.Designing requires easy and beautiful interface. I think best solution for design is either Ms Windows or Mac. Some say Mac is very nice, but i never used it.Serving.Serving is to put your site to work. This includes setting up www server, databases, etc. For me these are the attributes for selecting OS for servers:1. OS stability. 2. Protection from viruses, hackers3. Performancefor me, Linux scores the highest.just remember, OS selection is based on the task the PC should do. Some OS are better for some task. Some just dont.

hehe... i just found out that Xisto.com has already installed ZendOptimizer! Yeah, i agree 150% with u about that. nope. it is unreversable process. thus disabling hackers to do reverse engineering. before chiphering, make sure you keep the original. ? i dont understand? tell me more about it. -

Do you know there are programs used to protect php codes from other eyes? this useful if you have shared hosting space with others and dont want your work is being copied by them. it changes php codes from: $password = "my_secret_password"; into something like this: MúºVâ HÂźĂwĂĂLoTŸþÂVâĂÂĽĂŻĂHĹĂ encrypted into humanly-impossible-to-read. this is possible by using encoders like Zend Security Suite: http://www.zend.com/en/products/zend-guard this tool can encrypt your php files thus preventing from others copying your work. it can also create licence and limitation such as trial programms. this is only needed if you are really serious about protecting your copyright. but, it comes with high price and your server must have Zend Optimizer installed.

maybe his right. this probably happen when you are using NTFS. Word of advice, "NEVER USE NTFS TO STORE YOUR IMPORTANT DATA FILES". Why? because the recovery for NTFS is somewhat complicated. It is safer to use FAT32 instead. This was from my previous experience of loosing 80Gigs of data at an NTFS partition.

man, that's crazy.maybe you can get over the heat problem some how, but how about your hardware support? if you can get to that kind of speed, your performance will still be the same. bus speed and ram speed are also important part in pc performance. basically, those 6Gigs might as well has the same performance of 4.5Gigs, probably.and one more thing, most CPU manufacturer say that your warranty will void if overclocking is done.

How Do You Validate Email Addresses? Looking for the best method
whafizi replied to iGuest's topic in Programming
mastercomputers: so you want to validate email addresses? i would like to advice that you should use Client Side Scripting for that manner. This includes JavaScript and VBScript. This way, the validation will only be done at client, thus eliminating any unnecessary burden to the server and minimize the use for your bandwidth. where to find the example? click your mouse to: http://zudocube.com/ do a search, enter the keyword "email validation" and select "JavaScript" in the category. easy and simple. -
This Place Is Crowded make spaces for different scripting type
whafizi posted a topic in Programming
i think this space is over crowded. i think the administrator should make new topic here such as PHP, ASP, JavaScript, "server side scripting", "client side scripting", etc. therefore, everyone can focus on the topic they like the most and enable them to give questions at more proper place. -
Hi rtdesigns. Welcome to the world of databases. If you are planning on using MySQL with PHP, then here is my advice. This is the way i've learn mysql for the first time. here is the checklist of things you need to do before advancing to database connectivity. 1. understanding of HTML programming 2. understanding of Database concept 3. understanding of the defination of Dynamic Web Pages. 4. understanding the functions and the differences of Server Side Scripting and Client Side Scripting. make sure you understand all above before continue on reading. otherwise, you might just wast your time here. Ok, if you are ready, this is my advice "Get PHP manual instead". Download the help file (.CHM) from this link: http://php.net/download-docs.php Then, open it and type "MySQL Function". There you will be given the most basic tutorial about MySQL in PHP programming. Happy browsing!

i used swishmax to make simple flash animation. but then, i figured out for simple animations we should use gif instead. this is to ensure wider compatibility with older browser or those who didnot have flash installed (for security reasons, etc). so, anyone have a simple solution of coverting SWF files to GIF files without compromising its quality?.thanks

U know, Windows XP installs many services automatically upon installation. Clickstart>settings>control panel>administrative tools>computer management.click "services menu"can you see there? a list of services which microsoft installed automatically.example:service: "Remote Registry"description: "Enables remote users to modify registry settings on this computer."who wants his computer to have this kind of service anyway? they always say it is safe, but everyday they come with tons of patches. users are tired keeping up with these updates.
