  1. It's okay for your first button. Looks like you put a whole bunch of effort into it, but I have to agree with Bash. Personally, I would work on making the zoom animation more readable, and making the text less pixelated. There are a few more things you could do to make it better, but those are reallly the only essential things (In my opinion).
  2. Well, darn! I never thought my ram or GFX card would be the problem. Looks like it's back to square one. I'll post again once I make a new set of blue prints for it. Thanks, mon ami! Addition: I've changed only two things, the processor, Hard Drive and motherboard. (Tigerdirect does not have mine anymore.. and it had a built in fan. ) Processor $299.99[br]ntel Pentium 4 550 3.4Ghz / 1MB Cache / 800 FSB / Socket 775 / HyperThreading / Processor[br][/br]Motherboard $109.99[/br]Asus P5P800 Intel Socket 775 ATX Motherboard / Audio / AGP 8X/4X / Gigabit LAN / USB 2.0 / Serial ATA[br][/br]HDD $74.99[br] Maxtor / 80GB / 7200 / 8MB / SATA-150 / Hard Drive [/br] Well, this is not definate yet.. probably 1-2 monthes away form that, that's why I'm asking you guys. Anyway, alperuzi, do you see a better future for AMD or P4? Would that Motherboard last me 3 years? (And be upgradable at least 2?) See, I know this isn't the best platform.. Eeeh... jebus, maybe I just need something better than my Asylum 5600 256MB NVidia card. >< It was incredibly difficult ot find a decent AGP Motherboard.
  3. No, no, no! Just click the edit button and post some comments on it. It must have interested you, because you posted it.
  4. Mon ami, do you plan on actually commenting on this? May I remind you, if you don't, I will most likely have to delete it, or move it to spam, and I do not wish to do that. Please consider this.
  5. Okay, I'm going to give everyone who reads this thread a big warning. If anyone oversteps the rules again, anywhere in The Vent, I will close your topics without warning. I do not wish to do away with the vent, because contrary to what you believe, there is intelligent conversation going on in here. Very important conversations. Now, I would like to explain some of the infractions within this thread, which posts has been edited/deleted for. Infractions + Avoiding the Bad word filter + Implementing someone is homosexual (Keep in mind, this is a shortened list, and very generalized.) The Vent does have rules, as stated in a pinned topic. That is why certain member's warning percentage go up. As I stated before, if I see anymore of this going on, I will not hesitate to delete/close whole topics. Merci beaucoup, mes amis. (Thank you very much, my friends.) - Zenchi
  6. I believe I should lock this and let further conversations continue in private messages. If you have another place to host it, please, by all means, go ahead. Xisto's purpose is not to host big, corporate websites. If your site is really that big, take OpaQue's advice and pay. It'll save many a headache.
  7. Not a clue who did it. I sure wouldn't have. Anyway, Gamefaqs.com is probably the best source of free guides, unless you're looking for certain games which weren't released in the U.S. Though, that's why you have to be good enough to play them anyway.
  8. In order to have a post counted as a post (and not disreguarded) your post must have at least 300 characters. Characters include A-z, 0-9, ='s, ,'s, .'s, ;'s, odd things like ☺, ▓, ╥, ?, and any other type of writing. 300 characters is roughly three to six lines, depending on your resolution. This is an attempt to discourage users from spamming to recieve their hosting. If you're having troubles registering an hosted account, try seeing if you have the required amount of posts. The required numbered of posts can be found in the Hosted Forums stickied topics.Thank you, if you have any questions, feel free to PM me, any of the other admins, or moderators. 9. Sorry Crag, I mistated what I meant. I know you'd have to use network cables (A Given. ), but what I'm worried about with a server is, say Computer 1 (192.168.0.1), the Default gateway goes down. Would not this mess the whole network up? I would like a safety to wh ere 192.168.0.2 becomes the new Temporary Default gateway, is this possible to do without a program? (Program detects 192.168.0.1 is inaccessible, attempts to contact next on the list, defaults that and the rest of the networked computers to a new gateway)
  10. Three reasons that photo is fake:1) That would be Pepsi, not Coca-Cola.2) The Flag's colors are too vivid to be photographed in the same enviroment3) Flag's shadow is faked, and it would have to be metal, not wood, to give that wide of a shadow.
  11. So in other words, the main computer holding this network is 192.168.0.1, correct? So in case that falls down, is there a way to network this for three or more computers? (I've not ever messed with network connections, but it would be nice to know) The only possible way I can think of this would be if you changed the Preferred DNS server and left the main. The main reason I'd like to know this is for hosting server on games.
  12. The main point for this desktop is to be a Gaming PC with decent Word Processing and Internet capabilities. I take it that means I have to find a new motherboard, damn, and that was a nice one. 1000 USD is roughly 734.699 EUR. (I believe that's what you're talking about.. I hope so.) My final question is, how can you tell if the motherboard is compatible with the processor completely? I only saw the 775 Socket, and I wasn't aware of an AGP. The only similar thing I'm aware of is the SATA and ATA of HDDs. Can you elaborate please? Because it says,
  13. Well, I had recently made a plan for a custom computer (Okay, I did it Sunday at 2 AM. Still.), and I was wondering if you guys think it's cost effecient. Keep in mind, my budget is $1000, and I already have an NVidia 256MB 5600 I plan to switch out with my old 5200 128MB Nvidia GFX card. I'd appreciate feedback, as this will most likely be a computer I use for a good two to three years.
  14. General rule of thumb is to declare any $ variables, beit through and include or whatnot. Keep this in mind for the future, in case you ever decided to do a script. It can be a hassle and a half.
  15. MapleStory, in all truth is, well, quite.. Horrible. Once you get past level 10, it all goes downhill. No quests, and it's just a pain. Too many kilstealers, and there's nothing you can do about it. Let's see, I've found a few.. There's KalOnline (3/5) MU Online (3/5) RO Private Servers (Varying) Various playerworld games (1/2 of which do not work) which can be found at http://www.onrpg.com/ Hmm.. What else is there.. Toadwater (http://www.toadwater.com/) which is kind of funky (I <3 it currently) Battleon, but it seems to be down. Gate to Heaven, Knight Online, and other various ones owned by the same company Fairyland, if it's still free. Graalonline (Worth paying for, I just lost my account due to email problems) Tibia (BLEH!) Aspereta (3/5 ~ 5/5, varies.) ..that's about it. I'm not sure of WoW (Bad things about it..), but if you're a lone wolf, go for it. If you're the opposite, do play Lineage 2. You'll love it. Both of those games are p2p, but they're supposedly worth it. Oh yes, and Anarchy Online recently went free for hte basic client.
  16. Okay, my questions is, how is trailing red trousers behind you courageous? (Definition of Mettle)Secondly, is it even possible the dog was trying to deliver the pajamas to the old man to save him from hypothermia?Thirdly, why didn't the dog just grab the red flag out of Grandpa's hands?Lastly, why was an old man running after a train, and why was there no lookout?
  17. Qingtian: I <3 The Avatar. ^^If the world ends tomorrow, that's okay, right? Less pain and suffering.
  18. Thanks for the information, but please do not post these and think they'll add to your post count. I don't want to delete this, but you don't have to put the whole message, at least post a link and post some of your thoughts on it.
  19. He can't come back, as I conclude he does not want to. I have a suspicion of why he left, but Spectre was a loveable enigma. We miss him, we sure will. I do not have any means to contact him, but I hope he sees this. I hope he knows -- Spectre, and your other names may be forgotten, but your work will not be. I respect your reason for leaving, because it was most probably a worthy one.. at the time at least.
  20. Same thing happened to my mum recently. Somebody shout out her window of her 87' Dodge Ramcharger (the expensive window), and we had to pay $500 (this month) to get it replaced.I wish we could have kept the $500 dollars for christmas cheer, but no, we have =Madonna=ing god damned son-of-a-=BritneySpears=ing =pile of wood= weed smoking potheads that moved the =Willis= in making our =censored again= =censored= damned =censored= lives hell on =Censored= earth.
  21. Googlue, please don't delete this topic, delete the spam posts. Anyway, I had my mother explain this, like I said earlier, I can grasp it, but not fully. I understand what you mean (except on how to help you), I'm just not used to doing it flat. ([(a* (c*d)]) I'm curious to your first helpful post, but either I do not understand what Sum_{over all elements} means, or I missed something. For example here, [2 3] * [4 5] = ac+bd[br]-> ac=(2)(4) bd=(3)(5)[/br]--> ac=8 bd=15[br]---> ac+bd=23[/br]----> Sum_{over all elements} /=/ ac+bd[br]-----> 2+3+4+5=14=E[/br]------> 14 /=/ 23
  22. AOL: Always OffLine. Anyway, it could be the card or port you're using to connect to the internet with (usually located on the back of your computer) has fouled up. It happened to me, and I had to replace it.
