WinXP sucks and is holy at the same time. Home Edition is just horrible, whilst Pro Edition is pretty decent.

Might also be that your Mouse wheel is broken. My Intellimouse is 3 or 4 years old.. it's gone through so much abuse.

I bought a book at Barnes and Noble 3-4 years back for Javascript, but I couldn't really understand it.. personally, I would reccomend previewing the book first.. I couldn't understand half of what that book said.

Zelda Online was originally a one man game, but they also only have a few sprites, one level, and was probably a rip from Zelda 3. But then again, if you're talking about the new 3D games, those are near impossible for one person to make.. unless you spent 3-4 years on each stage of the part. Now, I'd certainly love to make my own game.. but then again, that'd take a whole team of developers.. I'll just work by myself, thank you very much.. The more people, the more of a headache.

I generally use my Hard Drive for storing Backups, thus why I want two PCs, for one to be a mule. Other then that, my mum can play on my old one.. as it's suprasses the reccomended features for her games anyway.

And if you wanted (I believe) you could order FFXI from an online store and probably set it up.. the only bad thing would be the major time it takes to get delivered, and possibly server lag.. (More then normal) Although, it may still be unavailible.. Darn Playonline/Square Enix.

I've heard of that one, I didn't understand it. I personally use CuteFTP, but that's just because I get it free from my friend. It's definitally not the best, as my uploads get cut, and my downloads get corrupted pretty often. My main word of advice while using CuteFTP (Pro) and installing a Forum.. Don't do it unless you can document the errors.

It depends really, rather then just saying bigger is better, it would more appropriately be bigger and faster is better. I've seen 15k RPM HDs that have about 12 Gigs on them, and that would be good for few things, but it would increase and compensate performance versuses a 80 gig 5200 RPM. Anyway, I currently have an 80 Gb Hard drive, and with the new computer I am recieving this Christmas, that will be increased to 160 Gigs.

I know how it feels to have a parent who thinks they know it all - my mother does the same. Although, she does get my computer fixed when it's broken, but anyone can really do it with enough time. Personally, I prefer Windows with a Different Shell, but that's because of my limited PC. (Ram and Processer, and all that neat stuff.) Although, I do like Linux Alot.. so I can't vote, whereas I can't decide.

Well, I'm obviously new here, due to my introduction thread, but anyhow, I'm not near a newbie. I came here via http://lurk365.com/. I'm 4th top poster there. Anyhow (I doubt I'll be that here.. but I can try. ) a little 'bout myself, I play several online games, Diablo II (And Expansion), International Ragnarok Online (Not currently.. but did.), Final Fantasy XI and more. I prefer to play by myself, as normally (in my experience) people are hard for me to talk to and strategize with. Also, I'm quite a theory-rabbit. I do write occasionally, draw, things of that sort.. but my favorite past time is most likely talking over the internet to people. Simply because I hate everyone I know in real life, one way or another. I love to watch horror movies, and the occasional Family movie. Also, I like to make graphics (Signatures, Avatars, etc) that please the eye.
