nope at least i dont think i know what arrays are any way im just trying to make it that where "cin" is you can enter any thing u want if u enter zach it gives u that first cout thing other wise it says sorry please try again. Okay so in general Syle xp IS not a good idea? i have 512 ram and a pentiunum 4 2.6 gig proccesor would it slow that down?

Hey guys my freind recently bought a very nice laptop and while he was showing it to me i asked him how he made it look so awesome and he informed me that it was by style xp and explained it to me, However he has a gig of ram on his laptop and a very fast processor and he says anything short of that will tottaly bog down your computer. As a matter of fact he says it even slows down his and im just wondering is this really true? how could somthing that just changes the appearnce of somthing take up so much memory and what not on your computer? Is it a bad thing to put on? and how much will it slow it down?

Well i got it fixed. However guys thanks for that info on frames i really dint know that nice info to have though. I do like tables but i dont know that much about them is there a site that talks just about various table commands and what not? So I asume that the advantage to using tables is that A. easier for search engines B. everything u want to edit on your webpage is right there on that one page instead of the lings page and the main page and the heading page etc... right? I think im correct on that please correct me if im wrong. Also tables are tottaly customizable? I dint know they had THAT many uses, any way thanks for the comment and a good site on tables = awesome

Okay guys i figured the people on this forum could help me alot more than just about any one else you see im having a problem with my itunes library(about 1200 songs so kinda a big deal) and ill start right from the begining.Time: saturday: I get on computer turn on itunes it says "you should update to ver 5.0.1!" or somthing like that considign ive been putting this off for quite somtime i say ya sure update. well it boots up firefox and i realize i have to dl this fairly large file and that it WILL take a while so i just close it close fire fox close i tunes and just say hell with it i turn on Windows meda and listen to a bit of billy joel.Well the next day i get on the computer and strangely i turn on itunes and hit play on a selected song and its playing.... but no sound and even the bar is moving across the top that shows how much time is left everyting completly normal just no sound. So i say hmm probably killed it when i sorta closed it on that dl no matter i will just dl the thing and be good to go, Well i download the itunes 5.0.1 thing all 32 megabytes of it (dont laugh on dial up thats alot) HOwever it STILL dosnt work and ive tried multiple things and the bar still moves across..... just dosnt play the problem is i went to the itunes help thingy.... dint get much there got the of course basic stuff such as "are your speakers pluged into the right jack? do they hyave power? etc... or "is the bar at the top left of itunes slid all the way over to the right? if not do so" yes yes all that is fine the volume is turned up the mute is not on every thing should work and windows meda player works just fine so i know its not my speakers. Now to make matters worse i decided to like reload the entire my music folder into itunes it dint neccesarily hurt any thing only problem is now i have like 1,200 duplicates but oh well it was worth a try even though it still dint work. Has any one else had this probleem? im really desperate here. Oh one more thing i can still burn cds off of the i tunes music they work just fine to but for some reason no dang music will play directly off i tunes any help greatly appreciated zach

no no im not talkng about the ones on calcs like ti 84 and cameras it looks as big but it just dosnt fit and when u put it side by side its like one eighth to small for a regular usb to fit in it damn i dont know whats going on maybe my mouse has expaned and pushed my usb in my own computer out with it? who knows

Hmm this is quite interesting indeed i guess this really is quite unique. Well now that im aware that this is a new thing lets get into the details..... okay so mouse: Logitech gray wheel, red optical laser, standard usb connection end thingy from what i can tell it fits the front and back usb ports of my computer just fine.Laptop: toshiba not tottaly sure on the model though the smaller mouse was pluged into a side port (right side) i first tried plugging into that port but when i realized it was to wide to fit in the port i tried both ports on the back neather worked and yes im sure it was right side up and what not no it did not fit in any of the usb ports i tried all of them. So you guys have never heard of a mouse being two wide to fit in the ports eather eh? hmm odd indeadp.s. sorry about my spelling its bad i know

Um im sure I will be called a N00B for not knowing this but I just frankly dint know it. You see my dad has a lap top with one of those small mouses, you know the ittie bitty tiny ones that gives u cramps just looking at it and its on that spool that winds up the cord or w/e well any way i had to do alot of hw for vb and that was the only computer available because my main one was being gay but i still had the mouse for mine its a logitech wheel mouse one (the optical kind) so its usb has a wheel and the light is red im sure there are lots of models of this same type of mouse but that should give u a general idea of what were talking about well when i took it and tried to plug into the usb drive on my dads lap top it wouldnt fit.... just simply to wide. So are there really two sizes of usb ports or what is this?

Hey guys I recently heard of a fairly old but quite good rts called black and white however i thought this game was turn based oh well guess iw as wrong any way is this a good game ? your views on it im running bit low on cash these days so cant afford to go buy a lousy game.... i hate having to make good choices for once lol

Hey guys im 16 and really like programming (although im fairly new at it)ive already taken a year of basic html and what not. This year im taking a class in c++ and VB next year i hope to take java and php. However next year will be my senior year and i will have to start applying for colleges and im trying to convince my parents that there ARE jobs in computers its hard for them to do this they like to stay locked up in there own little world **cough cough** stone age **cough** so what i was wondering is what jobs are actually out there for this kinda stuff what are booming markets and what is stuff like c++ actually used for? Frankly id like some actual job names that are out there because saying "oh ya i could be a game designer" well that dosnt go far and i dont really want to be one any way. so any help u could give me on A. jobs out there and B. what is c++ used for and lastly C. are java and php good choices for next year?

Wow what a joke you hack? well i guess i was wrong no point in argueing with the the person that actually DID it i guess iw as wrong but seriously how *BLEEP*ing pathetic any one that hacks.... all i can say is wow how lame u know the only reason they make thse patches is to prevent people like you from hacking and screwing up this great game if no NO one hacked ever there would be no need to keep updating and every time u update it corrupts all your replays and jsut makes a mess so um ya thx for tottally screwing every one else over.

okay bonnie thanks so much for that and i might still use it however i was thinking of doing something like haveing an intro page and then meta loading to my main one however i was wondering what is the matter with this code here: <META HTTP-EQUIV="REFRESH" CONTENT="6; URL=testing.html" widt = 400, height =600> now thats in my heading tag but when it goes over to the new page its not resizing the browser any ideas why?

well both of your guyses ideas helped what i was thinking was perhaps making an intro page with a meta in the head to have it after five seconds auto load the new window so that could work but still id like to not have an intro page and just load directly into the main thing however no unfortunatly im not using Dream Weaver so do i put that java script in the head or the body of the index file? could u write out the actual code for me so all id have to do is change the dimensions ? thanks for the help guys

Well thanks for the help guys i really think cc sounds liek the game for me rise of nations im sure is a great game but holly crap eight levels to advance through? i just hate games like that there so freaking slow they dont even seem real time takes like an hour to play a multiplayer game just like age of mytholgogy and what not no im afreaid i need somthing a bit faster so code red or w/e it was called is the one to get? if its the best i have no doubt many people still play it

WOW thanks so much guys for the help i downloaded the lavasoft thing and updated it/ran it and it detected over 850 problems!! dealted em and i then ran it again after a reboot and found 1200+ problmes lol over 2000 pieces of crap on this thing and then after that i ran searh and destroy that found a few things as well and between those two things and norton i finnaly got this computer working great again thanks so much guys. ALso id just like to say for me its soo important because i play alot of starcraft and in competive/tournamnet matches and boy is it ever bad when your flying your drop ship over minerals about rdy to unload while moving and pop up!! omg its like worst thing that can happen so ya havent had that happen since thanks so much guys
