Hey guys I use dreamweaver alot and I was wondering about one thing cause it would help me with this and the raw coding. Whats the code to make your table(say if your whole site was a table) Be as wide as there monitor/resolutioin or w/e? Cause its really hard for me to do it cause i have to minmiize all the other horizontal tabs in DW, then get it the right size, Save it, Check in browser etc... and its a pain in the neck isnt there some way just to make it be the width of the browser window or somthing?

Just out of curisoty since it is in fact a beta with probebly many bugs and problems why would you want to try one any way? Just wait untill it officially comes out. by the way when is that exactly?

Hey guys tomorow I will be giving a speach on the american author Arthur Miller. Some type of visual aid is required however most of your grade will be given for your delivery of the speach. So most of the attention will be on me not the powerpoint. The powerpoint only needs to be like six slides or so im mainly doing a power point just because it will give them somthing to look at while im talking. There will just be a few pictures and lines of text on the actual power point most of the info I will say but what im wondering is are there any cool effects I can do with Power point? For instance on some flash videos ive seen a line come kinda across the top then one horizontaln and back again kinda like this. Now of course thats super sloppy and i realize you can do SOME animation in Power point but there isnt a loop fucntiont that i can find and your jsut all around limited so what iw as wondering is can i add a photo shop image in the pp that has the same animation effects? like will it hold the effects? and can i put flash in PP and if so is there like an easy flash banner maker thingy cause i have flash but am so new to it probebly couldnt make anything look decent. Um as we say in the starcraft gaming world "manner please?" seriously what does generalized even mean? Because when you give us absoulty no idea what your site is about we cant help you. If my site is about guns and i want some general links i dont link to trap 17 i dont link to download.com i link to the nra and smith and wesson because thats in the general categoy so dont ask for help then rudely complain when some one trys to assist you.

Well ive never used any thing like php nuke or mambo or anything like that. I do however use dreamweaver alot does that count as coding it you self or no? I like dream weaver cause it cuts down the time so much like when making big tables and what not but I also use the code part of dream weaver alot as well.

WC3 tottaly sucked compared to other rts I played. I dont think they should of cut down the unit supply. And they (at least in my opinion) made the heros way way to powerful. in relation to the rest of the charecters.

Hey guys im starting to learn more and more HTML and CSS all the time but what im realzing as i visit sites is that the thing that gives it the finishing touches, and really makes it look good are good photoshop skills and Flash. Ive been reading about how flash works and stuff and I have it on my computer I have just never used it but want to start are there any good sites besides w3schools and learnflash.com that you guys know of? w3schools actually dosnt have much on flash and so I was wondering if you guys knew of any good sites that have good tutorials. I was also wondering if you guys could give me some links to some good siites designed in flash. Lastly I know flash has a very steep learning curve and is very hard to learn. I dont care I plan to learn it one way or the other so any help would be awesome

Wow thanks for the comments savge and electic u can have your footers auto update with out you having to manually do it? I never knew that when i always had footers id Just say Last eidted date: and then id have to keep manually change it my self that is some very good code to know I think I will change that as soon as I get home, However u said change xxx.html to xxx.php Does that mean I need to change all my page names to that? like index.php roster.php and any page that has a footer on it? hmm any way thanks alot some very imformative information.

Any way I just made this site, took only a few days and im still working on it. I just rambled somthing up for the about page and I still have to do the missilanious page as well but hey its a start. Any way i wanted to know what you guys thought of it Avalon was kind enough to put in his time and make the banner for me which looks very nice. A few questions though on the left side under the navigational is there any way i can put a shout box in there? Secondly for my footers should I have the last edited date on there? Hmm good to hear that input guys, So many people say "ya the real coders dont ever use dreamweaver or Front page" or at least thats what ive heard. Its good to see that other people use Dreamweaver too. Oh and fishing thanks so much for the links there awesome.

Hey guys I use dreamweaver to code my sites, I heard even though the "hardcore" people dont use it, its at least better than front page. And what I was wondering is are there any website building/helping tools or programs besides those two? I havent heard of any but I figured there might be a few more. The other question I had was ive been hearing alot about CSS and layers. I know what CSS is and have been trying to incorperate that into my site when/wherever possible However what are layers? And can you reccomend a good book on webdesign? I dont want a "for dummies!" one cause I know some HTML and CSS but id really like to have a good referince book for the intermediate designer. Hmm i like the picture and color but the Team taKe. Needs to have a peroiod after the taKe and it needs to have the same capitalization as right there (Team taKe.) but the placement of that is awesome. The shattering all the boundaries needs to be on the right in kind of italic. To do that however though I think it needs to be in black for it to show up. But so far it looks way nice. Im writing this partly because im bored but also because I wanted to reach out to others and hear your opinions on this topic. You see im 17 and am finishing up my junior year of high school and quite frankly I have no idea what I want to be when I grow up, if Im going to go to community college for two years or maybe even a four year college. The hardest thing for me is that the things I love and want are... well not that much. I love playing starcraft, Playing golf and just hanging out with freinds and it dosnt take a whole lot of money to do any of those. Especially starcraft I mean maybe(and most likely) my views and my interest in gaming will dwindle as I increase in age but as of now. To be honest im happy where I am and id be fine with continuing to work at fred meyer. However please dont get the wrong impression here im not saying this because im to lazy or cant get into college no that is not the case im in National Honors Society, I have a 3.8 and am taking some hard classes. Next year I will also be taking two college level classes as well. Not to be arrogant or cocky but I am actually pretty smart but I just dont need a whole lot of money to hang out with freinds, play a little golf and play starcraft but my family is constantly saying "zach what do you want to be when you grow up? where are you gonna go to college? have u been studying for the sats?" I mean seriously in your opinion is there anything the matter with just a normal job?

Not to be overly redundent but ya the page and overall look of it comes off as kinda small. Even still though I like how well the colors mesh together and even more the sharpness of the pages. It really looks good, I dont even think it being small makes it look at all bad in the least its just really really unpractical.

You know arguments like this are funny because no matter what is said or what is proved no one can ever win. However Im going to put in my two cents worth. Let me just start off with the DS. The DS has some GREAT games especially in the multiplayer playing mario kart was with out a doubt probebly some of the funnest hours of my life. However whats important to remember is that when ever i did play it it was with my freinds and the six or seven of us would have an awesome time. And thats what I think the DS is good for hanging back chilling with freinds and what not because it really does have an awesome multiplayer the single player side of it however is well... a little weak to say the least but thenyou have the PSP. I never bought a psp but ive played on them quite a bit and i was gonna get one after i sold my DS but never got around to it. The PSP is deffinetly sweet with the sleek look of it, the ability to have songs on it as well as movies and all your other great files... its hard to beat for sure. But the multiplayer is almost nonexistant. The online play hasnt taken off and there just arnt that popular and not that many people at school or work have them do to the steep prices of the merchandise such as the actual psp, the memory cards and the games as well as the umd movies. The psp is sweet but with no multiplayer and a steep price tag alot of people it really seems like are not that eager to buy them. I just recently sold my DS though just because if there arnt any freinds around it really isnt that fun to play there good single player games are few and far betweeen. Over all though I think there both good systems but the DS's lack of good single player games and the PSPS almost non exisstant multiplayer just really make both systems not all that great kinda like the last election

Hey I was just wondering if any of you guys still played starcraft, I plan on forming a team on US west with in a couple of weeks and was wondering if any of you would be interested in joining, if not thats fine and coo. But I know that every one on Xisto is very mannered and nice I also figured if I had any coding problems or anything like that you guys could help me but any way even if you dont wanna join or dont even play starcraft that much i was just wondering how many starcraft gamers we got in this forum community and if you ever wanted to play a few games on bnet one of these days.

Actually it is the header of my site. The current dimenensions of my banner now are Width: 884 & Height: 227 But it dosnt have to be exact just with in that range, and the height can vary a little bit more than the width but the width does have to be fairly close to 884 thanks guys. Oh and avalon do you think you could give me the link to where i can download that gif movie thing? So I can at least start to be a little bit more competent. (that is if its free of course)

Hey guys im planning on buying a laptop in the near future. It dosnt have to be redicioulsy powerful but id like to get it up there with out breaking the wallet. I was looking at a site the other day http://www.ibuypower.com/ and saw that they had some very good prices, One of my freinds also bought a laptop from there and ive seen it so i know they deliver quality. I customized a laptop there and I could get a 256 ATI radeon with 2048 ram and a 2.2 AMD turon for $1,450~ Now unless im mistaken this is a very good deal yes? The problem is my other freinds are geting Dells and Alienware and they told me they do not recomend ibuypower(except for the guy that bought his from there) because comparred to Dell and AW ibuypower's Warranty is very weak. It only is one year parts and warranty compared to dell and aws extensive programs you can buy that last three years and you can practically stab it with a knife and get them to giveyou a new one. The downside is that not only does the warranty alone cost more your also with out a dobut paying for the "name" when you buy dell and especially alien ware I couldnt find one from eather company with the same specs for even close to the same price they were all around 2k and my question from you guys is do you think the warranty is that imporant is it work and extra five hundred? And what exactly does one year limited parts and warranty mean? If i drop it on the ground by accident will they give me a new one? Any help on this warranty stuff would be much appreciated thanks.

Hello guys My name is zach im a 17 year old junior at Hidden valley high school. Im currently taking a class on webdesign and really enjoy it and would like to further increase my knowledge of programming this summer. Earlier this year i took a semester of VB and had a good time but decided to switch over to Dream weaver half way through the year (the class im in now) simply because I just wanted to try somthing new, VB wasnt hard for me but it wasnt easy eather which is probebly why i enjoyed it so much... I could do it but it wasnt redicliusly hard. I also took a class on C++ earlier and did not really enjoy it i got a B on the over all semester grade(pretty bad for me) and decided to drop it due to the lack of teaching and instruction givin by our instructor who is more like a babsiter/ supervisor then an actual teacher. However I really do enjoy Website building and I was wondering if some one could give me the names and / or authors of some good books on Webdesign and how to better expand my knowledge of HTML, CSS and XML. I also was wondering what languages are used to code the stuff like login scripts in websites ? what books should i get to learn about this stuff? Are they mostly coded with PHP and mysql stuff or java? Any help would be much appreciated and if you know of any great websites about building websites/ and forum communities please help me out im kinda new to this stuff but want to learn.

Lol? your joking right? On CSS and CS 1.6 its extremly easy to find a server. So many people play both now i really dont think it matters its what ever you prefer becasue ALOT of people play css so if you wanna make the switch dont let the idea that "not enough people play it" hold you back.

My top three are probebly Dust, dust 2 and cobble but they all change on a regular basis as i get tired of them

Hmm overall I would have to say my favorite over all wepon is the m4a1 as well (unsilenced) it just looks and sounds sooo cool. Deffinetly hard to beat. My favorite pistol is of course same as every one's elses the Deagle my favorite shotty is the auto. And lastly im not really sure the name of it but my favorite SMG is the one that shoots WAYYY fast and has a 50 round clip. Thats my favorite it really pumps the lead out and yet the recoil isnt to bad so its fairly accurate. Oh and lastly my own category my favorite thing ever is no scoping in real close quarters with the AWP. Can't beat it.
