  3. It's simple, someone posts an exercise, the other one solves it, and so on . Okay, let's start. Ohm's law Make a class describing a resistor with the following members: Make a program to test this class.
  4. I learned CSS at W3schools.com. The tutorial was quite easy and quick. It took such a low amount of time that I couldn't believe that I've learned CSS so quick. Even though I didn't have every statement put in deeply in my brain, I did understand how things worked out with CSS, and with a little bit of practice on bloggers, and making simple web sites made me learn CSS entirely. Still, I lack of interest of working in CSS. It is boring and mostly useless. It requires a lot of combined work with HTML or PHP, and you still can't get a complete site that will satisfy you're wants.
  5. Yes Man with Jim Carrey. It was a pretty good comedy as you could assume when you just see the name of the main actor in the movie. He still has those nasty grimaces . It also had some romance in it. Though I didn't like that fact that it wasn't a curse but just a habit to say 'yes'. And, it has some really educational parts, so I recommend you watching it
  6. I saw the movie yesterday. I expected it to be more of a comedy, but it had quite a lot of romance in it too. Jim Carrey acts extremely good as usual. He can still make those awesome grimaces. But, at points the movie was getting kinda boring. And, it didn't convince me that such a large group could be formed, and if I was at the main character's place, I surely wouldn't believe in those words, and unless the 'yes' thing was a curse, I'd never prohibit myself of declining anything. Buuuuuuut it had some really funny moments and I'm happy I watched it. Anyway, it really does have some educational scenes.
  7. The movie was extremely fun and exciting to watch. From my point of you if you're an action film lover you must watch it. I think I missed the downtown runs, since there was only one race on the roadway in the movie, when you compare it to the others, it lacks driving but I'd rate it 8/10.
  8. Cute guide :PI've felt this on my own shoulders - it sucks. I'm still playing World of Warcraft, but I no longer pay for it and I play on private servers. Oh, yeah, I play about 2 hours per week now. I've never got to that level of addiction where you totally lose your friends, girlfriend, and everyday activities mostly because I had friends which kept calling me out no matter how many times I declined, and because of my daily sports routine. The problem is, in most cases, when you're addicted, you do not want to stop playing WoW. You find it interesting and you feel like you would do anything just to play the game. You just need to delete the game from your PC and break the game CDs and throw them into you're trash can. Or if you can't do it yourself, if you're hesitating when doing it, tell a friend about it while you're conscious and beg him to delete it for you. End of problem.
  9. Yeah I believe I can.Wow it hasn't left a huge mark in my history. Even though I was MAD for her. Well, I wasn't mad to make up or something with her at those years, since I was extremely young, but I really liked when she was near me, and when we talked to each other. It's just... It's not actually going to be erased from my memory, but it will require someone to remind me about it so I will get to go back in the eyes of that nine years old kid and enjoy the beautiful moments from the past.
  10. NOT. Lua is a scripting language. You're suggesting something, while you haven't even used it before? Read this: http://www.lua.org/about.htmlC++ is still the best language for game programming. It is the fastest, the smoothest, it has very much readable code, if the programmer had it organized well, and its compatible with every system .
  11. I used Game Maker for a LONG time when I was younger, lol. The similar syntax of the 'Game Maker Language' with C++ was really helpful to me when I started programming in C++. But it's not powerful enough to do any kind of a big project. These days, I use the Irrlicht engine. It's open-source . Yeh, and it's powerful, it can run hardcore games smoothly. About the others listed in the poll, I haven't even seen them by an accident...
  12. The best book for game programming I believe is 'Game Coding Complete' by Mike McShaffry. Yes, it is old, from 2003, but it's still good enough. The matter is, you can't become a game programmer by a night. You really need to put an effort to become an advanced game programmer, and to get a job into a huge game developing company. Though, 'Tricks of the Windows game programming Gurus' by Andre LaMothe is good too, but it's too old.
  13. I think the best place to start learning C++ is the official C++ site. There are many tutorials and on their forums can get problems solved easily because there are many people monitoring the forums and helping every man that needs help with something. Here's the link of the tutorials http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ You don't have to learn object-oriented programming in C++ from the start. First learn the basics and get to solve a few simple problems. There are tons of books about the basics of C++, but I don't think that anything can help you more than the simple tutorials on the site, unless you are wanting to become an advanced C++ programmer.
  14. Hello everyone, I'm new to this forum and I saw that there is an introduction section so I thought of introducing myself even though not many people on forums are interested in welcoming new members .Well, my name is Tommy as you can see from my 'nickname'. I am from Macedonia, and I live in a pretty small town. I won't mention it's name cause not that anyone cares about that. I'm fifteen years old and I'm first year at the informatics school. Actually, I will be from 1st September and on. As you can judge from the school I just signed in, I'm mostly interested in computers and manipulating with them. My specialty is programming. I know the C++ programming language and I hope to be a future game programmer. Except sitting in front of the computer I also like sports. I'm a basketball lover and I have trainings every Mon-Wed-Fri. I also watch the NBA games very often and I'm interested enough to read every single topic made on their page . That's enough for an introduction I think.I hope I'm welcome here
