Long time -- no see?

Everyone expected this game to be the exact same thing as any other id fps. The awsome thing about it, is that it sports a very new, very awsome, and insanely top-notch engine written by Carmack that's sure to put HL2 to shame. People bought this for it's technical value, not for the game in itself. Yes, it's pretty dull with the plot/story in a whole, but don't tell me there weren't some parts in the game that made you piss youself.

A mod could take care of a certain forum, ie: [Gaming], another can take care of [Computers], ect. Checking over the topics, we really only need 6 moderators. One can be assigned a certain section, and we can help eachother out from time to time, but mainly sticking to each of our own topics. That's not a bad idea actually, I like it; More efficiency.

They haven't released it yet. Yes, Longhorn is going to be released as the next OS after XP. Instead of having "XP Home" and "XP Pro", they're going to have the "2000" series OSs and the "XP" OSs. Longhorn most likeley won't be called that when released, it's just the code name. Anyways, Since Longhorn is a closed BETA, meaning you're not going to be able to use it unless microsoft let's you, I don't want thins thread branching off to people talking about where to get it (Unless microsoft itself provies the link). I've noticed there's a lot of channels that I can't moderate in, an example being the [GAMES] channel. :PAnd I've found quite a bit of spam there.Mostly the new channels, so my assumption would be that you created the channels but didn't update the moderator rights. Anyways, just a suggestion.

Dude, What do you mean wreckless? I have to moderate a whole *BLEEP*ing forum of 100+ posts daily. Some dumbass actually tried posting the PHP Manual in multiple posts in the "Software" section. What the fcuk!? These are the guidlines I've been following when moderating: 1) No Warez (someone posted 12 serials for Flash MX) 2) No one line posts. 3) No spam in general. 4) Retarded questions (ie: "How do I learn HTML?") That and flaming. I won't take any flaming at all unless it's a concented debate/argument in mutual agreement between two, or more, people. You might think I'm going insane. Well, that's because the forums are so *BLEEP*ing huge, so when I moderate the whole thing, It looks like I'm over doing it. I put 30+ posts for 30+ threads. Get it? It'd be different if it was maybe 3 posts, then it wouldn't seem as much. Admin, I wouldn't mind getting some more reinforcements, just make sure to pick wisely. The past mod's the site's had are... how to say this?, incompetent. No offence, wassie's a cool guy, buy I haven't seem him around at all this past week, maybe a little more.

But I think the admin hasn't done something right, because xiplst.uni.cc redirects me to the main Xisto.com site instead of my own. It's shouldn't be: xiplst.uni.cc/~templest/ , It should only be: xiplst.uni.cc And yes, it is "~templest", not "templest". Meaning, I have to do the same thing if I were to type: https://support.xisto.com/ In other words, my URL is redirecting as if it were http://forums.xisto.com/ when it should be redirecting to the subfolder: "~templest".

Hah, way to post this the exact same day that I started cleaning up the forums. Look around, I've deleted about 30+ threads and posts. As well as modified a few, and I would pin an outline of rules and regulations if the admin would give me write access to the announcements forum.

Maya comes with an extreamly detailed tutorials. Including video walk-throughs on what to do. If you don't see them then it's probably because you don't have quicktime installed. "Competitionship" isn't even a word. Anyways, I don't have the hardware sepcs to run a serious servers. I do have a 5MBit line, apperantly 2.5 times faster than T1, so I have that. Seriosuly though, If I get a good deal on a good mobo/dual-xeons/good RAM, good specs over all. Then yeah, I wouldn't mind starting my own hosting company.

I'm pretty sure you can't download cable-descramblers. But, yeah, there's tons of site where you can buy them, even eBay has a few. Just do a quick google.
