  1. You know, my compaq didnt come with IE. It came with Netscape, o_o. I went to microsoft.com and downloaded IE for free.
  2. [1] Yes, i know about that, but there are many lazy people out there. [2]Why did you quote: free?
  3. Here, use something i came up with for my old website. $name = $_POST['name'];$site = $_POST['site'];if(!$name || !$site){echo "You did not fill out the entire form.";exit;}else if($name && $site && (!ereg("^http://", $site) && (!ereg(".com$", $site) xor !ereg(".org$", $site) xor !ereg(".net$", $site)))){echo "You did not enter http:// and one of the following domain extensions: .com, .net, .org; in the url.";exit;}else if($name && $site && (ereg("^http://", $site) && (!ereg(".com$", $site) xor !ereg(".org$", $site) xor !ereg(".net$", $site)))){echo "You did not enter one of the following domain extensions: .com, .net, .org; in the url.";exit;}else if($name && $site && (!ereg("^http://", $site) && (ereg(".com$", $site) xor ereg(".org$", $site) xor ereg(".net$", $site)))){echo "You did not enter http:// in the url.";exit;}else if($name && $site && (ereg("^http://", $site) && (ereg(".com$", $site) xor ereg(".org$", $site) xor ereg(".net$", $site)))){[insert coding here]}
  4. I find IE v6 SP2 more secure than firefox. I havent seen a pop-up or a pop-under for a very very long time. When i tried out firefox, sure it blocked pop-ups, but it failed to block pop-unders. And the fact that it allows you to automatically download files to your computer w/o you having to designate a location for it to get downloaded to, i see that as a security issue. As for blocking certain activex, my IE does the same. And i dont understand why people give a reason on why they switched, just cause firefox was free. As far as i know, what browser isn't free? As for websites looking a bit crappy on firefox, that doesnt necessarily mean it's 100% the web master's fault. Browser's do have rendering engines. That can be part of the problem as well. "Spread Firefox." And then people complain about Microsoft trying to be a monopoly. Haha, how hypocritical is that?
  5. Some people did it for security, and something about web standards. I dont really see the point myself. I've tried firefox, i didnt find it as good as IE.
  6. You went a bit overboard with this sig, dont you think? Way too much going on.
  7. Kinda hard to recommend a color. That green really makes it hard to find a matching color. If any, i'd suggest using the eye-drop tool and start clicking over the render, in different parts, shadows, armor, skin. And test out those colors, one by one. If that doesnt help, then just throw "poop" on it. O_o.
  8. By the way, i've made a "crew tag", if you will call it that. The red bar at the bottom could be change into a different color, that will signify area of expertise. Like red=flash, blue=sigs, green=templates, or whatever you guys decide on. o_o.
  9. I found this Javascript manual: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ Hope this helps.
  10. LOL... Welp, it matches the armor the render is wearing, so i guess that's as good as it gets... O_o.
  11. If you have a good gfx card, that doesnt mean the game you're playing isnt gonna lag. For example, Generals: Zero Hour, this game requires a very good computer along with a very good gfx card. Usually the game comes with system requirements, minimum, and maximum requirements. Check if your computer meets those requirements for optimal performance.
  12. Cmat you forgot one thing, making links load content into them. You need to give the iframe a name, using the name attribute. <iframe name="frame"></iframe> Then using the target attribute you can send the info into that frame. <a href="#" target="frame">Link</a>
  13. I'ma have to go with Johnny's on this one. (1:3)Frozen: interesting way on scattering the text in the bg, but i dont like on how the render was blended in. If it werent for that you would have gotten my vote.
  14. I've been there before. It's a pretty fun game, although it's all text-based. I remember getting robbed, but then i found a bank and put all the money in there, that i took from my "victims".
  15. That render reminds me of Kratos from god of war, for some reason.Anyways, like johnny said, remove the glow, unless you're unable to O_o. Nice blending of the render, but maybe fading out the back side of the dude might improve it (?). As for multicolor, that green you used kinda makes it hard to find a good matching color. Only thing i can think of is orange-brown? If that's a color... Lol.
  16. I guess mine would have to be Vergil from Devil May Cry 3. He's unstoppable with that yamato, let alone with the beowulf.
  17. Everytime i check my google mail, i have to allow activex if i want to view my mail with xml.
  18. I remember trying to do this in an old forum, but that forum went down. But, this would be awesome if it were to happen here. [1], I've always wanted to do that. [2]I was planning on making my own brush sets. [3]In the old forum i was in, they had a section in the forums for that. [4]My website is all about that. I was planning on making flash movies about the tutorials on my site. Showing where to go, and what to use. [5]In my old forums, they didnt just have it on their sigs. They also had it on the "group" part of the avatar area, or description area, whatever it's called...
  19. Lol, wow, i've never heard of a virus infecting a cookie before. What program detected the virus? Seeing that the cookie was made by google, i'm sure google wouldnt do such a thing. Since it's a cookie, i'm sure you'd be able to delete it without any problem.
  20. FlashKit has good flash tutorials, too. And, yes you can.
  21. LOL, i was wondering why you had nothing under the second quote, in post #8.
  22. You'll notice that next to the "eye" on the layers, is another box on the right of it, an empty box, when you click on it displays a "chain-link". When you're using the move tool with a linked layer, you can move both layers (the selected layer and the linked one) at the same time, or align it based on the position of the selected layer and how much space the selected layer is taking up. Strong is another word for bold. If you look back into HTML, you'll notice that the way people made bold letters, in older versions of HTML, were through the strong tag.
  23. I think he was using the initials of anti-aliasing. No, move it more to the left and it will. I tend to be a perfectionist, and i just happen to notice these things. If you select the background layer, and then link it with the text layer, you'll be able to center the text with an option that comes avaiable when you have the move tool selected.
  24. You could nudge the render to the left a bit, and then center the text so it can be in the middle of the image. Overall, very good. But the text looks a bit jagged. No anti-aliasing?
