  1. At work I use XP and no plans to upgrade to Vista or 7 being that the business is internet related and the new OS's really don't provide any great advantage (I'm a web-developer), on my laptop two drives one with Ubuntu-64 and the other Vista-64.I like Ubuntu, Linux has come a long way in the past 10-years, I am comparing to an old version of Red-Hat with Ubuntu-64, installation was quick and complete with all the drivers except the wireless card but found the driver w/o a problem, compact (~1 gig for the OS that includes OpenOffice). But i most like XP :)Whereas Vista-64, on the other hand... just for the OS is ~3.5 gig, another gig of SP's to download with multiple reboots and download sessions, then the Office install and it's SP's and then the pain in the a$$... is to find drivers to install and if they are 'not MS Certified' you are thrown into TEST-MODE (which is intended for developers) plastered all over the screen, DAH, why not just create a compatibly mode for users... then a reload of all the your favorite apps, recreation of all your connections and the setting of all the settings... blah, blah, blah................ and in the end to find out, it is not any quicker even after providing more real-estate, ram, and a new faster pcI been working with MS OS's since the beginning, and now I think they are headed down the wrong path. The new OS's require a wipe and a re-install of everything for some nice visual effects and a TON of Administrator POPUPS (even when you are logged in as Admin, it's like asking 1, Are you sure? 2. Are you really sure?? 3. Are you really, really sure??? ) it is very similar to flippin' blinkin' text that I hate...MS needs to trim the bloated fat, make migration smoother, and provide an increase value otherwise their future OS's are being launched on sinking ships and we will be using XP for the next decade...PS: one other dumb crumb, there is a new IE64 which has problems with many sites, it has the same icon as the old IE...
  2. There are several reasons, why Google is among all Search Engine First, it's the best, it is very fast, and easy to use Also, it has got more advertising than any other site:)It has god also, adds, for blogs/sites They use click system ..Etc etc
  3. I think, the reason why the forum's members aren't online is 'cos they are on Holiday, they are not home, and they can not be online Also, i think most of the members, use this forum to get free domain, and when they do, they aren't active more
  4. Well, i think torrents, already replaced links, 'cos torrents, are free, and they are better for use Also, rapidshare isn't free, you should buy Premium Account, to use it like torrents, to download few files in a row, or download with high speed So, torrents are the best for now
  5. I use uTorrent, and i'm realy satisfied it's realy good torrent client :DI thing there are many better clients, but for now, i'm going to use uTorrent, it's realy good, it's not realy hard to work In few words, it's realy cool:D
  6. Well, today my entire day i was on my Personal Computer And, also i went to Shop, to buy some Ice cream, 'cos it's realy hoooot here Also, i dive in my Personal Pool, little swim etc That how i spend this day
  7. Well i will remember some moments in my life, and they are : -When i was born -When i got my new bike-When i learn how to drive bike-When i got little Sister-When i got little Brother-When my parrents bought me new PC-When i went to School-When my paretns bought me Motorbike-When my Pet Parrot Died -When my mom said to me that they will buy me car, when i'll be 16 years old :DI'll write few more next time
  8. All emulators start out this way. The demos are there just to show people how far the emulation engine has gotten and for the dev to try out new stuff. Also if the demos are form the original manufacturer it shows that they've got the emulator running on original software which in turn means that the project can be classified as a 'emulator'. I havent seen demos for PSX2 but i've followd the nes and snes emulaton scene for quite a while, they had demos for years before you could get to play your favorite game on the PC.As for the rom question you could probably use your dvd rom to read them, wich would be the only legal way to use the emulator if there is one.But the real question is what kind of PC would it take to emulate the 300Mz 128 bit risc procesror in PSX2 ? Some people claim 6.2 giga flops wich makes it at least twice as fast as a P4 at any frequency.
  9. the best game console I ever played was the original NES system. They did some cool stuff with the graphics, and the game play was just awesome. I just can't get into all these new games. more attention seems to be put on visuals then how much fun the game is to play. I know there are exceptions to that, but I really loved the NES (still works to). The old atari's were pretty cool as well.that said, super mario kart for the N64 is one of the best games I've ever played (even though it is way too short)
  10. I'm reading "From the Mull to the Cape" by Richard Guise. It's about him cycling from Mull of Kintyre to Cape Wrath in the north of Scotland. It's inspiring me to do something similar, now all I've got to do is persuade the other half to join me! Oh and pray for good weather lol!
  11. Books can't change your live that's for sure, so that will be my answer for these question
  12. I don't know about 'hate', usually when I don't like a book I simply put it on the self and forget all about it, but books I seriously dislike to the point where finishing them was a struggle are: 1. Eragon by Christopher Paolini 2. The Twilight Saga by Stephenie Meyer 3. Maximum Ride by James Patterson and 4. House of Night by P. C. Cast and Kristin Cast
  13. There is a lot of choisce there but I think as a writer matures, their work matures with them (i don't mature cheddar tho) I mean jurassic park has to be in the top 5 at least and so does PREY. The surreal ones MC writes are Sphere and Terminal Man, you really don't know what's going on (more in sphere than TM)I don't think I could ever choose favourites with Michael Crichton's works.Prey was one of the first ones of his I read, and that definitely is ranked pretty high up there. State of Fear's around number two, I guess. Then, I'd have to include Sphere in there somewhere...So, I think the ranking would be similar to this:1) Prey2) State of Fear3) SphereAs for everything else, I think I would have to group Jurassic Park, the Lost World, and the Andromeda Strain around number four, with Disclosure and A Case of Need following at fifth. Then there'd be Rising Sun, followed by Airframe. As for Congo and Timeline, I have read them, but I haven't done so in a few years, so I can't very well rank them if I can't remember what they're about. But, I do recall that both were very good, so I'd assume that they'd be around level four. However, I still need to read the Terminal Man and the Eaters of the Dead. Also i like Harry Potter's books too
  14. Well i suggest you to read Harry Potter's books, they have interesting story, and they are beautifull books too You can read them few times, and they will not be booring to you
  15. I've read it and i don't realy like it, 'cos it's not like the first part, and the second part is also realy booring :S I don't like it
