The Keys To Flirting Everyone Give Adivce About Flirting
Joannespw replied to DeathLock's topic in Dating And Relationships
1. be youself2. be open to critism and take comments with a grain of salt3. talk about yourself as well as ask about the other person4. the setting is important, 5. know when not to flirt is just as important as knowing when to flirt6. read bodylanguage. very important for men, we suck as this most of the time7. involve some alcahol, or some fun activity/place that relaxes both parties :unsure:8. open you mouth and say things! be normal and not godstruck. 9. remmember you can always be freinds with the other one and meet new freinds, chances are they will be interesting as well! -
Should Religion Be Updated? debate modern religion today (poll)
Joannespw replied to Joannespw's topic in General Discussion
Ah yes and personnally i am not against organised religion. I think it is a useful thing to have organisations where resourses and ideas are pooled. But they have to be dynamic if they are going to be able to surive. Strange that the catholic church still has such a big following as it has not really modernised or impemented new ideas , even though on the whole it is dwindeling. -
Should Religion Be Updated? debate modern religion today (poll)
Joannespw replied to Joannespw's topic in General Discussion
Interesting point, and we can talk at lenght about this. But the question still is should organised religion be updated? take the catholic church for example, its still conservative on a numer of issuea where it has a huge say! If it were to moderise its beliefs, then they could change the ways thier followers acted and so forth. Just the example of forbidding the use of condoms is already enought o indicate that they need to change thier beliefs. -

Update: Decided that it wasn't worth it to get a tablet as my primary pc. I needed something that was also functional. and for the same price as a tablet you can get some great things!!! I do believe in the fufure of tablets though. i wish that the turn aroun screen was an option for every single pc! so now I am going to get this pc:Acer ferrari 4005, with the new turion 64 bit chipset. Am also going to max out the ram memmory and see if i can get the new 100G hd 7200 rmp hard drive in there (now there is a 100 G 5400 rpm in there). value for money? I was a little hesitant when I saw that the ferrari logo was on the notebook - I though I might be paying more for a notebook because of some label. But then I looked at the rop of the line notebooks from IBM, Dell and gaming notebooks from alienware etc and is seems that the Acer ferrari is actually very decently priced for a top of the line notebook! I think I am going to be very happy with my choice.

I am also going to give Milk a compliment. This issue needs more honest opinions - both from men and women. I personally have always believed that its not just women that need to be emancipated but also men, but in a different way. Men need to realise that they need to work harder to promote eqaulity in thier relationships in order to be appriciated. One thing is for sure, and I feel strongly about this. Man or women, if you see somone being bullied or bothered then you should step up to the plate no matter who you are and intervene. Only in a world where people care about others and bother to correct inapropriate behavior can we get rid of this kind of thing. word of warning - ask if the person is being bothered first before helping and being a hero. to others: don't act tough or be afraid to ask for help, or say 'yes'when someone offers help. ps. for the record (not that it should matter): M

I agree. however there is an important question here. Do we want more intrusive tehnology in our life- say for example bio technology like chips etc. I am not so much for a competely technology run world (I go crazy when I have no pc), but i do apprieciate the wonderful bounties that tech does bring when it works. Technology may be neither good or bad, however as you point out it can have a vert changeing effect on society. The question we need to answer is not will we alow this (because it will sooner or later) but in which way are we going to use the techonolgy to change our society. Interesting matter is still nuclear weapons! did they bring the world closer together or further appart? its still a question that is being answered today.

I still need to get excited about longhorn. Sure it looks good, but will it solve any of the problems that the earlier windows versions have had? I am not so sure. Question 2: is the world waiting for such a platform? I am definitely not yet interested, if only because hardware still needs to catchup for everyone to be able to run these systems. I am more in fravor of keeping things simple so everyone can access mainstream platforms.

ALso I agree- religion has no place in politics. In my opinion a lot of the religios dogma is outdated as well. take the abortion debate. religion is pro life, organised religion says that abortion is murder and against christianity so there fore it is bad. but its a funny logic. why is it notreligion is prolife, therefore organised religion is pro abortion because they are for the empowerment and future life of women? confuses me. you can be pro life either way. organised religion should be updated.

The only question when it comes to medical care should be the wishes of the respective individual because it is thier life that is going to be impacted the most. I believe in the importance of individual freedoms to make thier own descisions. When is comes to abortion the only life that should be discussed is that of the mother because that is the person who has to bear the direct consequences. It's not easy to go through with an abortion for a woman and they should be supprted if they make that descision. All this discsion about pro life and rights of a featus confuse me. I believe in what is in front of me right now. the people around us today are the ones that are most important. why would you force someone to change their life by having a child if they did not want to? I do believe in good counselling and that everyone should be safe as much as possible.

But why??? I respcet your opinion. but what is it based on? did you have a bad experiece? I would really like to understand.

Everyone Is Wrong About The Iraq War that is the tuth
Joannespw replied to monkeys-r-orange's topic in The Vent
No way am I of the opinion that bush is all in favor of direct democracy, or for that matter critisism of him. what I was trying to point out is that the only good thing about him is that he is proactive and that might lead somewhere for all the people who have been suffering in the middle east while the west stands by idly with promises.. -
There is something wrong with every person... but nothing wrong with a whole people... thats just crazy.

Everyone Is Wrong About The Iraq War that is the tuth
Joannespw replied to monkeys-r-orange's topic in The Vent
Bush not my favorite character..however he does deserve credit for shaking up the middle east. I hope that this will be an opeertunity for progress to democracy and peace in the region. Even though i agree that there were politcal and personal reasons for bush/america to invade Iraq. I mean why not Iran, north korea then or even now? People wer decieved and had no voice. What i fail to understand is that, even though the democratic candidate in the election was dumb and would have made an average president, that bush even got relected for having such an agenda, mystery to us europeans. -
I disagree i think you should copyright thinks if you take pride un your work. But i also think that you should deal correctly with people who want to and do copy your script. Ask them to pay for it, help them build thier wbsite the way they want it and... ask money for it. After all if someone wants it, its sellable. If they don;t cooperate then get a no pay no cure lawyer and sue them. better to get something out of it rather than just having the website shut down.

But you can still make clear why you would have wanted it to be no through discusion groups etc. thats the nice thing about democracy. at least in theory....

You are right I wish that the german people would also have had a chance to vote. I should have made it clear that my comment was meant for the netherlands and france. Spain- even though they ratifeid the treaty it does not seem they did so with much enthusiasm (low voter turnout). I still say that everyone should have had a chance to vote at the same time though. As for the article: My bad thank you for correcting me, it is not 2/3rds (I was dumb enough to quote an MEP....) Actually the article you qoute does not state that every country has to ratify the treaty for the constitution. (because it is not actually a constitution in the tradiontal sense, badly chosen word) please see the article below taken from the same source as yours. the right amount is 4/5 ths. But again practically speaking the EU council till not ratify the treaty. please also see the BBC news story qouted below at http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/4596005.stm source http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ source: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/4596005.stm So, technically this clause applies since the treaty was signed in tome and technically in a case of deadlock (so "20 member states would have ratifeid it") the council could ratitfy the treaty. but i sincerely doubt the council is evill enough to do so.

Nokia nokia NokiaAlthough lately I am more disapointed by thier design department....The reason why I like them the best is that they have the more minimalistic menu that is very east to use. v.important to me! thje others mobile phone makers don't seem to get that.
