I'm having a hard time choosing one, I don't want to migrate soon from here and there..Vbulletin? - used everywhere, expensive, no thanks..IPB? - looks good but I prefer minimalist look, have'nt played around with it though.phpBB? - dont know anything about this it's popular though. not SEO friendly?SimpleMachines - lots of free themes! but how does it fair in SEO?Drupal - takes serious time to setup. Is it worth it?FluxBB/punBB - im using this one for testing my forums, looks great and clean, works fast too and SEO friendly. but looks very simple and EASY to setup.So which do you prefer?

We are getting more dependent with technology everyday and there are some softwares right now that I can't live without. Here's my list:Opera - eventhough it won't work on tons of website I love it's all in one package and far more lighter in my system than bloated firefox.Keepass - great reminder for your passwords.Suitcase - font management tool for my work.NexusFile or Q-dir - once you start using this you'll never go back to windows explorer.These are my most important loved software that made my life easier.Share yours please.

You'll never go wrong with lenovo or IBM. second option is DELL.

NVU/Kompozer which both also has portable versions are great!But i still prefer dreamweaver or notepad++ or any advanced notepad.

Definetly Dreamweaver but it's pretty expensive.. :DSometimes I find the need to use Kompozer but I can't get a hang of it I'll end up using notepad++ instead.

try q-dir or nexusfile and see which works for you.. they're both free!im using nexusfile because of it's dark UI.

I have the same dilema as you have but limited my options to IPB, FluxBB(i like its minimalist look out of the box but I cannot find downloadable theme anywhere nor I can find option to change theme colors right now.) havent tried IPB though.VB is great for large forums I can see it everywhere. but probably some other time if my forum is large enough.

I agree with quartux, it is easier to setup a blog.

in the end you'll need skills and depending on your skills and hardwork.or you can just buy tons of websites and watch them earn. nah you still need skillz to market them etc... so what can you do? code? sell? sit? type? etc..

freehostia is a decent host, fast enough compared to others but has limited features compared to Xisto, so I really cant wait for an account here.

Also came from awardspace and I find my website getting down for few hours or so very often there specially times when I need access to it. I know I should get paid one but right now it's for educational purposes.x10hosting is also good.

I've been using Yahoo/Gmail for years..shifted for a while to GMX but in less than a month got me into bad situation very unreliable and I vented at their forum, I was told I was just a troll and don't listen to him. Now that's service to you

I just came from there weeks ago... and I'm not coming back! Very unreliable IMAP suddenly it won't work on my Opera which got me in a hairy situation with my client so I emailed them and up to now have'nt receieved response from them. They are the same company with 1&1 internet and they both offer HORRIBLE service so I'd stay away from them if I were you. Although you can get good email address at gmx.com as long as you can live with buggy IMAP and terribly slow webmail compared to Gmail. but I can't I need reliable email so I'm sticking with Gmail even if it all good names are taken.
