  1. well if you have no one on your forum I would suggest starting over.install IPB add the test user, check if the delete is there.if yes install 1 mod, check deleteif yes install 2nd mod check deleteif yes install 3rd mod check deleteand so on.....if you answer NO then you have found your issue with the mod, or your edits. It is time consuming but it will not cause the issue like you stated above.
  2. By any chance were you logged in as Test user?If you were you can't delete yourself while logged in as that user.Have you tried renaming the test user to your account.... maybe even name it like Welcome Bot or something.
  3. m^e windows XP home does not allow use of user/pass for sharing. You must use keep guest enabled and use the password for guest. (I highly suggest setting the guest password to something you know) when you pull up the share in Windows XP Home you will be prompted for the password of guest as the username is greyed out and defaulted to guest.
  4. well since we are being vauge I like the ejection seats, and the dodge trucks that run over cops cars... Eva Mendez is Hot
  5. Have you changed the guest password?Have you disabled the Guest Account? Is File & Print Sharing Enabled? Are the files & folders in a Share able location?
  6. I don't understand why it is not in full sentence form. It looks like you took it from a webpage with columns or a magazine article. If you did copy/paste the least you could do when you copy/paste is fix the article column spacing.Other than that it sounds good.
  7. 1. You do not need all that spacing so this is a warning.2. Newer OS's do not need such expensive programs for Remote Access.3. I can connect to any computers I buy out of the box without a KVM over the NET or 3rd Party Remote Software.4. Windows 2000, Server, 2003, XP comes with Remote Desktop Connection by Default5. Linux or any flavor there of, has SSH, Telnet built in which allows me to run commands as if I was sitting there.6. Grant it KVM over the NET allows me to go to the BIOS, but who wants to mess around in the BIOS with out actually being in front of the Computer?
  8. This has been talked many times here but you only gave a few instances of spyware. This thread has helpful information as well as full registry paths, I would download and run these programs listed here: http://forums.xisto.com/topic/84093-spyware-and-adware-remove-em-all/ Install, Update, Scan. Definatly do the free ones. After you run them once, reboot, run them again, Reboot (fingers crossed) the issues should be gone.
  9. The server is having issues, until the issues are resolved NO hosting applications will be approved. We, at Xisto hope our new members understand and that by continuing to post until the issue is resolved can build up to 30 credits and recieve the better package.
  10. I know this is sort of off topic in a sense and will move it once i decide where it goes. mitchellmckain, How Do I Get My Site Listed on Google? I would suggest reading this thread at Xisto we discuseed geting "Googled": http://forums.xisto.com/topic/97612-topic/?findpost= Hope this helps.
  11. When you create your website you used Internet Explorer to view what you had created. Now when a Firefox user opens it up it looks all "broken".When you create Webpages you need to have the different browsers installed so that you can test your created page out.You need to install Firefox, and create pages based off of what it looks like with Firefox, and/or Internet Explorer.or You can simply put on your page best viewed with internet Explorer 5+, etc.
  12. What does Special Attention have anything to do with it? Do you have the redirect setup when your trying to add the sub-domain?
  13. As I stated before "You need to request hosting" here: http://forums.xisto.com/topic/176-forum/ You cannot upgrade until you have something to upgrade.
  14. You need to request a hosting package and wait to be approved.
  15. Never been infected with that spyware but a quick Google Search brought this up: https://www.google.com/search?q=desktop.exe:en-US:official I would suggest you try https://www.google.de/?gfe_rd=cr&ei=BwkjVKfAD8uH8QfckIGgCQ&gws_rd=ssl when you don't know what something is. You will see it works wonders and Answers most of your questions. I would download and run these programs listed here: http://forums.xisto.com/topic/84093-topic/?findpost=1064304790 Install, Update, Scan. Definatly do the free ones, and Microsoft AntiSpyware. After you run them once, reboot, run them again, Reboot (fingers crossed) the issues should be gone.
  16. 1. You need 2 monitors2. You need 2 Video cards installed in your computerWindows Will pick them up automatically you will just need to set it in the Display Properties Settings by right clicking on the desktop and selecting Properties.Once in Display Properties you will want to change the drop down to your second video card then check the box: Extend My Windows Desktop onto this Monitor.
  17. I do not see anything out of the ordinary.Check Add/Remove programs and remove any programs:a. You don't recognize (Do a Web Search first to make sure you don't know what it is)b. You did not install nor did anyone that uses the computer installc. Any programs you haven't used in over a week or on a daily basis. If you do not need these to startup when your computer starts you can disable them from the registry from your above image:Realplayer: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Real\Update_OB\realsched.exeI forget what this was but I always remove it (you make the judgment call before removing it): C:\Program Files\Viewpoint\Viewpoint Manager\ViewMgr.exeQuicktime: C:\Program Files\QuickTime\qttask.exeWinamp: C:\Program Files\Winamp\winampa.exeWeatherbug: C:\PROGRA~1\AWS\WEATHE~1\Weather.exeMSN Messenger: C:\Program Files\MSN Messenger\MsnMsgr.Exe
  18. I would suggest Running these: 1. Free Spyware/Adware removal tools: a. Ad-Aware SE Personal b. CWShredder c. HijackThis d. Microsoft AntiSpyware e. Spybot - Search & Destroy f. SpywareBlaster 2. Not free but very good: a. NoAdware b. XoftSpy Search the web and you will find the Microsoft AntiSpyware on Microsoft's site, the link is not allowing me to make it clickable.
  19. if the terms allow it here or at Xisto you will need to make sure you have enough credits to keep your site active which in turn your forums you host reside. Also running multipul forums will run up your bandwidth so you need to take that into account, only after it is ok to do.
  21. See the last line:Windows Taskbar..... C:\Windows\\\\\\\\\Delete it, that is what is causing it to start when you turn your computer on.After you delete it, restart your computer, If it pops up you need to run a virus scan, spyware/adware scan to remove it.
  22. This thread has useful information as well as programs. http://forums.xisto.com/topic/84093-topic/?findpost=1064304790 I would check your registry entries in the "Run" sections listed in the above link. Anything out of the ordinary you should delete but only if you understand what it will do. I would check the registry then post here what is in the run entries of the collowing keys listed in the above link. I will tell you what to do with them, or I will tell you I have no idea what it is.
  23. If you think quoting someone with a long post like that will give you credits your wrong. Now what do you mean by it really function? The best way to optimize and keep your computer running smoothly: Install only the programs you use on a daily basis. Remove programs if your not going to use them again, or if your not going to use them in a timely fashion Understand what your downloading, and understand what your installing. If your wanting to test software, I would suggest you make a "test" box. Download all the software you want to test and see how it works, or how it slows your computer down, or even see how much spyware/adware it installs. Most things can be avoided with common sense.
  24. How bout a 2 for 1, he joined Xisto for this but now he can help out at https://www.hugedomains.com/domain_profile.cfm?d=antilost&e=com also. I am eagerly waiting for the source to use on my webpage. Do we need to specificly email like http://www.dcrez.co.uk/create/gmail/gmail.php?q=index says or will it be posted somewhere?
  25. It usually happens with Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2.At least that is when I noticed it, but it hadn't happened on all my machines, so it is wierd.Yes the Bios is "supposed" to tell Windows to turn it on but after Windows is booted up Bios doesn't matter as the registry takes over then.
