  1. you will probally find that you were unlucky and got one of the few technical reps you find at every pc helplineover the years i have made thousands of calls to various companies for assistance, and a small percentage of those calls were what i would class as "unhelpful",in that i mean i was spoke to like i had just left primary school, and this is obviously very annoyinghowever on the whole i find most telephone support personal very helpful and these excellent personel are let down by the very few bad personelyour best option is to write to dell directly and note down your greivences,a letter is allways better than a telephone callI used Dell Tech Support over chat and they aren't bad at all, you just have to have a bit patience. Although what I have needed support for was my computer's speculations and compatibility with other devices. They are actually really great if you call them, just like any other call things. Also, my dad bought several pda's years ago, and although they aren't under warranty, he still get's support. Maybe you just had a bad day, or the guy gf just left or something lol.
  2. I completely agree with you rpgsearchz, but when it comes to Microsoft issue's isn't it a rather grey issue because Microsoft themselves don't really care about the downloading because many sites also allow for the software to be downloaded, so I suppose you could download Microsoft's software from torrents. Also, I suppose that the thing about the game console games is pretty much understood, but for many people, myself included, downloading video games is sort of out of the question. Aside from the inevitable question of the legal side, there's also the fact that these files are just too big, and most people can't really care to do what is mentioned. I suppose it is ridiculous because if you bought that key then you should have full right to install it how you choose, whether it be from usb or torrents, and if you follow the guidelines such as how much systems to install on, it should be perfectly ok.
  3. Yeah, I did some research and found this So maybe when it means time it means that when you make something in 3d, it may also regenerate or something in a given time. Time is I think the only feasible option for the fourth dimension, because realistically there is no other dimension that our eyes could see in. 3d is what it is visionary wise, but maybe the fourth dimension could adopt one of our other senses?
  4. Thanks,What I am just wondering is that if you already own a copy of that genuine software, would it be legal if you uploaded that software to a torrent, and then used it yourself to download. Or on the other side, what if you decided to purchase the key for a cheaper price than the software, and then downloaded the software itself from torrents. Would that be considered legal. Also, thanks for your recommendation of bittorrent. Utorrent right now is going fine for me with speeds of up 300 kb/s which is the same when i do http downloads, but if my speed detiorates I will try your recommendation. Thanks!
  5. For windows, I would recommend Norton Ghost or something along those lines, because it can update an image of your computer, so if your whole computer crashes you can literally reinstall your whole computer, and all your settings there. It is a paid software so you shouldn't buy it if your computer doesn't meet the min. system requirements, because you know how bad norton is on lower end computers lol.
  6. Hi guys,Now I am a keen user of torrents, to send photos and videos of me to my cousins in france. It is much cheaper that actually cd's and all the rest of it. But recently, while looking for a new torrent client (I've decided on utorrent), I came across several sites talking about how a torrent site will record the ip's of the visitors in a bid to crack down on illegal users. Now this struck me as odd, because why would they want to do that? That's when I ran a search for torrents and noticed the plethora of torrents available. Now, what I was wondering here, is that as it is not strictly illegal to download torrents, and as the website makes no indication as to the legality of the torrent, was it the fault of the visitor who decided to download the torrent, or the uploader, who owned a genuine copy of the software or music in question, and what if the userused a loophole such as I was testing it.Does that work, and does anyone have any experience? Thanks.
  7. Microsoft of course has a future, because if you think about it, despite what everyone says about the cloud, there will never be a chance for people to run fully fledged computing machines straight from the cloud. Becuase, unlike now where you pay a flat fee for the os, that way you have to pay for internet just to use the computer. Also on the topic of apple, apple will never overtake pc. Why? Because so far apple's only arguement is that it is not affected by viruses, so they don't actually release too many fixes. But when a larger number of users adopt apple mac, then they will have so many exploits, that people will revert to windows. Also, unlike microsoft, Aplle make you pay for service packs, so many people may feel that there is more advantages to switching to macs, but you ahve to look at the details.Overlall, Microsoft, if it gets less of these lawsuits will easily come out on top. Recently, the only reason people are doubting the credibility of Microsoft is becuase of Vista, but realistically most people have Windows then the rest put together.
  8. The fourth dimension maybe those kind of things that have like you know, when you wear your glasses in some movies the things are coming out. If you are unsure what I am talking about then go and look at the, I think, Pirates 4d in thorpe park. That maybe 4d where it is height width, depth perception or something. That's just what I think. On the other hand 4dimensions may be purely theoretical, becuase it probably doesn't even exist. However, what about if it is like if you look at it on one side you see a 1d object, (such as a line) then you flip it over and voila there is a 3d object, so 1d and 3d make 4d? Any other ideas?
  9. Why do you have to even do the registry part? Can't you just simply do the folder part?
  10. 2mb, no way would you be able to get an os with gui that small. That would probably just be enough to hold all the lines of code.Like the person somewhere above me, 50 mb is morelikely as you can actually have all the code and also have some pictures like icons. 2mb? Where did you get that figure btw?
  11. I think that this is really great because now people who don't have cards or something to but the domain with can get it free. Also, I like how the number of posts doesn't determine, because I normally have a lot to say, but on some web hosts, they only base it on the number of posts you have, so inevitable it takes much longer for me to get the required number of posts. Can't wait to get my domain name. Thank a lot Xisto!
