  1. There is no way to destroy the internet I think, but there are enough ways of damaging it I guess. Nowadays sites often get ddos'ed (which means people will target the website specifaly and overload its capacity), hacked and various other things done to them. While you don't take down the entire net doing these kind of actions, you do damage parts of it. Hackers can destroy your access to the internet (your own computer) or people might try to take down an Internet Service Provider by either ddos'ing or hacking again. I guess the internet is pretty vulrunable, but taking it down competely seems like an impossible task.I wonder what would happen if someone was able to take down the entire internet, maybe even war? The internet has become very, very unmissable by many of us, for example.. What would you do today if there is no internet anymore? And what would you do tommorow? And the day after? I for example would lose a lot of contacts I have on the internet, it would probably drive me crazy if it wasnt available...

  2. I come across this game a few months ago and signed up for the closed beta, no I received my closed beta invite just a few days ago and I started playing it imemadiatly... I have to say the game is amazing. Graphics are top notch, there are lots of quests to entertain you and they are well balanced for your level, surely this is the best free MMORPG I ever played, it's probably even better than most payed ones. The game is set in ancient times in China, were martial arts are your main fighting technique. At the moment I am a thief part of the Brotherhood of Thieves, in the world I play there are lots of creatures like wolves, tigers, foxes, so that's pretty realistic. I haven't came across any fantasy creatures yet but I think they are in the game as well.

If I would have to rate 9dragons I would rate it with a nine

American destributer of 9Dragons is Acclaim, their website can be seen on http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/
European destributor of 9Dragons is PersententWorlds, their website can be seen on http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/

  3. you know jvscript isn't that powerful as a matter of fact jvscript is very limited the most damage you can do with jvscript is problably just delete or add some files you can't really hijack a pc with jvscript now if you use java or flash action script then you have the power to hijack and totaly hack somones pc

You think deleting / adding files is not dangerous? Remember that there are a lot of files on your pc which are vitaly needed to keep your computer running well, if you can delete these files a reinstall is probably the only way to go... adding files can be very dangerous too...

Anyway the best thing to do is just not visit these websites which you don't trust, dont click links on MSN which people send to you without asking them what it is (and if you dont trust the guy who send you the link you shouldnt even think about clicking it)

  4. Well I'm laughing a bit about Microsoft saying Vista is ready and done, remember a operating system made by microsoft is never ready and done, there will be many vital upgrades just a week after the release of Vista probably. Anyway from what I've seen from Windows Vista it will be very sweet looking and have a great ammount of new features, however it will also have a great ammount of new bugs and it will require a large PC upgrade for me so I won't get it on this PC, maybe on the notebook I have to buy for college next year seeing we will be developing windows programs -,-

  5. I don't thrust these guys, I was using this email service for a few months, but at some point I couldn't log in anymore with any browser, so I guess they deleted my account or something, which is really strange because I used it just for ClanBase and stuff... Anyway if you are looking for a proper email provider just get email by a known company like Google (gmail) or Microsoft (hotmail), because you can rely on them, and not on all these other company's (besides the email you get from your ISP, but that will expire as well once you switch to another ISP). Besides, who needs 30 gigabytes? There is no-way a small company like the company behind 30gigs can offer so much space unless they are secretly owned by Yahoo, Google or Microsoft which I really doubt to the fullest.

  6. Recently Microsoft started irritating users with pirated versions of windows by adding banners and text balloons to your windows installation (if you were using a pirated version), however many users who didn't use pirated versiosn got problems with these as well (myself too), so in the end, Microsoft will allways hurt itself or its guinuine customers with moves like this. Also spreading virusses is far more serious than irritating the users, virusses effect software not made by Mircosoft as well...

  7. I think space should be seen as the ocean, uncrossable without a boat or spaceship. Dimensions are just science fiction I think, no-one has ever come close to prove anythign about this and I think no-one will be able to because tampering with these kind of stuff often lead to destruction.. I'm sure by time the human civilisation will be able to travel as fast as light, maybe even faster, but according to Einstein this isn't possible, however in almost every case there are exceptions. Once we can travel faster than light (which is gonna take a long time to research the technology how to do that) it will take years to find other civilisations in outer space (if there are any) because there are no planets like earth anywhere close to us, but then again, who says every creature needs to live in a earth like envirement to survive.. There are many mysteries about space...

  8. Seeing Wikipedia is free for everyone to add data and articles it isn't guaranteed that this is what wikipedia thinks about Google. Wikipedia is checked for bugs all the time however, so the entry should contain valid information. We all know about Google having such a huge ammount of space, not only for their search engine to store data on but also for Google Mail users (more than a million users with a 3 Gigabyte email is a lot, if you are good enough at maths...). Even in the Netherlands the world "to google" is used, but more to be funny than to be serious I guess. When there was a rock party at our school the orginasors had a joke in the announcement.."Clothing style: Punk! Don't you know what punk is? Either ask your parents or Google it!" (translated)I never used the word "to google something" in any serious conversation though... Maybe in the future I will, but at the moment almost no-one here uses that therm seriously...

  9. Everybody likes Google and I'm sure that it will stay like that as long Google keeps releasing great new tools for free like their search and mail features. A company like Microsoft or Yahoo will allways stay hunting for Google however and they might succeed in beating Google someday...

  10. I use Google Mail as email client, together win GAIM (The windows version) as Instant Messaging program, because it's very fast, clean and supports various protocols so you don't need seperate applications to run multiple instant messaging clients (seeing GAIM is much more lightweight than Microsoft Messenger, running MSN with other IM's together would be a horror). There isn't any best combination, hotmail is full of junk while gmail is very fast, however hotmail has mroe functions with MSN messenger etc....

  11. The search engine is aimed at a small market, however this market is expanding. But at the same time, the Google search engine searches indian websites as well so I doubt this search engine will get anywhere near the size of google's search. However if they do get big I'm sure Google will counterreact by buying the search engine or something (either Google does it or a company like Yahoo or Microsoft would do it if they see the search engine is interesting enough). I think this search engine has a nice look and gives lots of results, but in the end I think it will still be Google who wins (Like Google always does, hehe)

  12. Meh this portable gaming console war is going to far I think, both of the consoles are really good and everyone has his own opinnion about both. While the Playstation Portable has games for more grown up people the Nintendo DS is more aimed at children but also aimed to fans of the classical games, I wouldn't want either to disappear, and because it's so hard to make a choise I decided not to buy any of them at all, this also saves a bit of money I guess.. hehe

  13. There will allways be games with features from your list which might seem retarded, but creating something already made is much more easy than thinking of something original. If you play a game like Battlefield you will see it? s entirely different than a game like Call of Duty 2 (which is kinda the same as the original Call of Duty and the upcomming Call of Duty 3 besides some graphical changes) or Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory... I like 2nd world war games as long as they have original features...

  14. If you wrote it yourself, very nice post to come into the community! If you copied it from some place else, an admim will probably come to clean this soon :)Anyway, in my experiences Google Adsense is the only advertisement system which earns a nice profit and realyl pays out once you reached the payout limit, not like AdHearus a few month ago which closed down when they were about to pay me and the rest of advertising programs online :>

  15. Login pages are usually the most vulnerable area. A hacker will go there first becuase if they succeed then they can virtually do anything they want. Open source scripts, despite what people say, are actually very secure simply due to the number of people using them and reporting any flaws they find. If you write a script yourself, make sure to include as many checks as possible. For example, make sure a form has been submitted from your site and nowhere else, and make sure that fields contain alpha numeric characters. The safest way is, before you do anything with the submitted information, strip it of any ', ", <, > or their ASCII code equivalents. This will stop 99.9% of problems, but you have to advise people not to use them in their usernames or passwords.

I guess if you can take a look into the source code of a script it will be much easier to find bugs which can be exploited, but the positives are also there and meight overweight the disadvantages. Besides open source coding rocks! :)

  16. It seems like a useless ammount of bandwith processed trough your website seeing it uses the bandwith of your website. But what ever floats your boat I guess, as long as you have enough bandwith and Xisto admins don't complain about it I guess it's fine to install proxy's on your webspace :>

  17. Can't say I like Counter-Strike Condition Zero much more than CS 1.6, basicly Condition Zero is just a big pile of the same as CS 1.6 with a bit better graphics. The differences between Counter-Strike Source and CS 1.6 are much bigger altrough you need a very good computer to run Source without too much FPS lag.. So I guess Condition Zero might be a nice game within if your computer cant handle Source very well. Altrough I think the entire Counter-Strike series have gotten out of date by now..
