Hmm if 5 dollar would be the price to get access to all Google's Services, and BETA tests, I would surely be able to miss those 5 bucks.

Since a few years I'm renting game servers for wolfenstein: enemy territory, in these few years I've used many gameserver hosts, there are many gameserver hosts, but they all have their pro's and con's, so I'm going to give my opinnion about gameserver hosts I've used in the past...EscapedTurkey.comIs probably the cheapest gameserver host of the planet, (35 slots for 25 dollars) the way they handle the cheap pricing is by giving almost no support, and bulking the servers with accounts. EscapedTurkey does it nicely tho, they have a pretty standart control panel (Usermin) but with the control panel you can administrate everything of your server, they allow you to change mods, install new games, and much more.Overall I would give Escapedturkey a 9 for the pricing, and a 6 for support, a 8 for features, averaging a 7,7ETGameHosting.comHas medium pricing, yet they are not very cheap, and they can't even get close to the pricing of EscapedTurkey. Yet, ETGH.com has very fast and helpfull support. Their servers run very well, fine pings, fps, etc. The control panel is very bad, the only things you can do is start / stop and upload new files...Overall I would give ETGamehosting a 7 for the pricing, a 9 for the support, and a 6 for the features, averaging a 7,3.JFL-Gameservers.nlIs a very good host, with very fast support, very good pings, medium pricing, but they have a very simple control panel where you cant change much by yourself. You can edit the start files if you want to change the SSH querry or add more commands to it... One big downside is that the JFL support staff doesn't speak english very well.Overall I would give JFL-Gameservers a 7.5 for the pricing, a 9 for the support, and a 6.5 for the features, averaging a 7,7.Icehosting.nlIs a host I didn't really like. Their pricing is OK, cheaper as ETGamehosting and JFL-Gameservers, but their support is bad, control panel is limited, lagpikes from time to time, not to mention their administration is bad (They kicked me out because they weren't sending me invoices and I couldn't pay for my gameserver)Overall I would give Icehosting.nl an 8 for the pricing, a 5 for the support, and a 5 for the features, averaging a 6.Clanservers.comI haven't used this host for long (I used it because I was helping someone with his gameserver hosted at clanservers) and I was, well... Pretty exited about the cool looking control panel they had, untill I found out the control panel is filled with stuff not really important to your gameserver (Billing, support etc), as a matter of fact, the only thing you could do was start and restart your server, which isn't very good. Yet, their support is just above average, but it all depends of who's helping you with your problem. Overall I would give Clanservers.com a 7 for the pricing, a 7 for the support and a 7 for the features, averaging a 7.Killerpings.comAlso has a very flashy control panel, and is also filled with useless things, you can see your server's command line, but can't edit it, everything is filled with flash animations, and it takes ages to load the control panel. Their support is well... stupid, they don't know how they need to install things and often do it wrong.Overall I would give killerpings.com a 7 for the pricing, a 5 for the support and a 5 for the features, avaraging a 5,7If you know any gameserver hosts and would like to add your experience or comment on what I've typed, please do so

I guess you should ask this to him with the live chat or email, since this is pretty personal I guess...You live in europe and don't have a credit card so you can't send secured transfers? -
Ssh Conjob For Downloaing A File From An Ftp Serve
Florisjuh replied to Florisjuh's topic in Web Hosting Support
I guess I kinda solved the problem for myself by asking my gameserver host to upload the file every 24 hours to my ftp server. -
How Much Space Does Google Have On Their Servers?
Florisjuh replied to tariqrf's topic in The Internet
Google adsense also shows how much google gets out of the profit, and that's a lot! Google earns like four times as much as the people who have the ads on their site, and more as a million people seem to have google ads on their site, I think a few hundredthousand earn more as 250 dollar a month with it, that's 1000 dollar for google per account, times hundredthousand is about 10,000,000 a month, now, a decent dedicated server would cost 300 dollar a month, such a server has about 500 gb space I guess (2 times 250 gb), with 10,000,000 dollars, they could rent like 300,000 of these servers, 300,000 x 500 = 150,000,000 GB of space... Well, thats just a possibility and I'm sure Google earns way more with Google adsense then 10,000,000, but I just took that as an example... Also not all money is spend on dedicated servers, but I guess a lot is..For Google, the possibility's are endless... -
Hate to say it, but your english is crap ;)Anyway, to get your hosting accoutn you need to get a decent ammount of hosting credits by posting / replying in various topics (Don't worry, it's easy enough on a busy forum like this). Then, when you have enough credits collected, you can request your hosting account on the request board...Good luck!

New Features In Gmail! gmail launched new features
Florisjuh replied to mayank's topic in The Internet
The new google mail features are insanely cool! Altrough I never visit Gmail trough my mobile phone I would guess a lot of people would want to do it... Also, viewing all the files in html is one great feature, I hate loading the slow adobe reader or any microsoft program just to read something... Now you can just read them trough your browser only ;)The rss feeds are very nice as well, altrough I'm not using them at the moment, I'll probably use them soon enough -
I want to add advanced player statistics to my website using VSP stats generator. The VSP stats generator gets its information from a gameserver log file. I need to transfer this log file from my gameserver to my Xisto - Web Hosting webspace, I thought the best way to do this is to create a cron job which downloads the file every 24 hours, and uploads it to my website, by logging into the FTP server of my gameserver...The problem is, that I don't know how a cronjob like this is created. Can anyone help me a bit?

Yesterday there where a few new scans out of the PC:Zone released, which give a lot of new information and more screenshots on the newest game being developed by Splashdamage and ID software, called Enemy Territory: Quake Wars, a futuristic game combining Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory gameplay, the Quake II world, and Battlefield 2 like vehicles! The game still hasn't got a release date given out, but it will be somewhere in 2006, and I'm probably gonna buy it on the day it gets released, since this has been the only game I've been waiting for ever Scans of the PC:Zone magazine can be found over at Xfire.be http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/

At the moment I'm using 3 CMS's for 4 sites. I use PHP nuke for a clansite for a friend of mine, the skin it uses only works with PHP Nuke and that's probably the only reason I'm using PHP Nuke for it ;)For two other sites, one league site and another clansite (for my own clan) I am using CPG Dragonfly. I like this CMS because it is much faster and stabler then PHP Nuke, as well as a lot harder to hack... It's also very good for big community sites, which my league site and my clansite are...For my OTHER site ( ) I'm using Land Down Under (LDU, same as eleghost). It's very easy to make templates for it, and also great for smaller (Less community driven) sites, but you can use it for big sites as well...

I guess it's upto the creator himself to move to such an editor :\ . Game maker makes excellent games, allows you to add a lot of code, and isnt solely made for 3D games...

The New Board Can Not Support Win98? abit sg-80
Florisjuh replied to guangdian's topic in Hardware Workshop
Installing windows 98 on such a computer is like using an Alienware PC for word processing :\My computer at home has the same specs (Altho I might be buying a new one soon) and runs Windows XP fine... -
Hmm, showing the error returning part of your script would be nice, since these debug messages don't give to much usefull information...Have you checked if all the variables you use are correctly typed?

Great site, I remember free .info domains were offered a few years ago, and I used one for a year, and then moved to a .com which I'm using till august next year... Well, I'll just register it for another site

Boosting Your Computers Speed! Using msconfig
Florisjuh replied to savge17's topic in General Discussion
Very nice tutorial, gonna try some of it when I get home tonight... -
Yes the game is very cheap, but because it's a bit outdated it's hard to find halflife in stores. Also there are anti hack systems that don't use Valve's default Anti Cheat, programs like "Cheating-Death". Anyway if you have an old computer halflife /cstrike 1.6 should be an ok game to play, but if you have a new computer Counter-Strike Source is the way to go

I'm using 5 percent of my gmail box, I get a lot of auto generated messages (Like the new post on x forum blablabla, so I remember to keep visiting Xisto ) Also lot's of HTML emails, which take a lot of space as well. Still, 2669 MB space (It's that many on my account at the time I'm writing wrtiting) is enough to keep receiving these news letters for a year or five, and then I should start deleting one or two.And Google mail isnt just good for the 2.5 GB storage space they provide, Google will continue to expend the features of their mail, so we will stay interested in them. For me, Google Mail is the best.

Hmm before I saw this thread I thought her name was Britney Spears as well, not that I ever looked her up on google... Not really interested.
