I use the trackpad on my laptop. If I'm home then I'll use my wacom tablet and the wireless mouse that came with it. I've been itching to get the new bluetooth wacom tablet. I hate having clutter and wires all over my desk.

What Is...the Better Shipping Company UPS, DHL, or Fedex?
unfortunate replied to C2C's topic in General Discussion
I use Fedex for anything valuable. I've shipped a few laptops without any problems via Fedex. I don't even trust USPS (the post office) for anything other then mail. From past experience, UPS has had some delivery problems. -
Well I guess it really isn't a big deal. I just found it odd that I was reset to something like 1.9. I guess it makes sense that after being approved for hosting you would need to rebuild your credits just to make sure you stick around after getting approved without banking on a huge cushion.

My old P3 has a 30gig HD. My Powerbook has 80 and my iBook has another 30. Lately I've been using my iBook as a backup for all my pictures and important documents. I've been itching to get a huge external firewire HD. I want something over 200. I want to rip all my DVD's to a HD so I can take them around with me anywhere.

How To Get Gmail Without Invitations It works really
unfortunate replied to hayri's topic in The Internet
midnightvamp is referring to the original invite spooler http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ I usually send my invites there. I think i've donated a few hundred. Whenever I'm bored I take the time to empty out all my invites in my account. -
I stumbled upon this link earlier today and was hoping someone could explain or walk me through getting the script running. http://ponderer.org/del.icio.us I'll keep the post short since I have no clue as to what I should. I'll just say that I rarely work on WinXP and I would rather get it running on my old win box sitting in the corner.

Hmm I can't really say that I do or don't enjoy using WinXP. I have to say that I like it a whole lot better over WindowsME which was the last MS operating system that I ran (Vaio sr-33 laptop). I starting using OSX 3 years ago so my expectations have raised a little bit as far as what I expect from an operating system. I have to admit that I enjoy the graphical interface that OSX offers. I can't say that I'm disappointed in Windows. I've never had a fatal crash that caused loads of data loss. I've never been infected with a virus. I've had to deal with my share of spyware/malware though. Easy enought o clean up with adaware and spybot. I discovered that WinXP ships with a lot of services running that the average users has no need for. By turning almost everything off my pc runs a lot better then what it did after a clean reformat. Anyway, I said 'no comment'. I don't really have a reason to bad mouth WinXP, but I don't really have anything to gloat about.

https://www.engadget.com/2005/05/16/engadget-amp-joystiqs-live-coverage-of-sonys-playstation-3/ I'll spare the actual details since I'm sure most of you know the gist. The one main feature that I'm looking forward to is bluray support. It's also going to have DVD+R/W and CD-R/RW support I know there was another thread a little earlier but it was for images... Not the actual release info.

I used to frequent gmailforums to find a gmail invite back in May of last year. I left as soon as the waves of invites started flowing because the only posts that seemed to come up were from users looking for invites. Real discussion rarely happened. Most of the serious members from that forum actually moved to Google groups. If anyone is looking for some gmail related talk should check out Gmail-Generation and Gmail-Lounge.. both run and maintained by some of the original veteran users from GF. (including me LD )

Gmail As Your Storage scripts can be found anywhere, free
unfortunate replied to BuffaloHelp's topic in The Internet
I created a new Gmail account for Roamdrive. http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ The only thing I liked about it was that it went in and created a label in my account so that uploaded files were nicely organized without me having to set up a filter myself. (Even though it is pretty easy to create your own filter). The serious downside of the program was that it required Internet Explorer (not sure if it has changed since I tried it a few weeks back). -
Passing The Time With Google Images Guess-the-Google game
unfortunate replied to serverph's topic in Search Engines
There is also a similar version powered by Flickr images: http://error.burningbird.net/404.html You can choose what size board you want to play with... I think I prefer the Flickr game over the Google one. -

Hey welcome to the boards.. I'm fairly new as well. Just jumped on this past weekend and I've already grown accustomed to frequenting this board on a daily basis.

Google Video - Allow Upload?! not search for video but host it??
unfortunate replied to lamode's topic in Search Engines
The important key here that I think people are going to over look is the fact that the video uploads must be approved before Google "hosts" them. It's not like people are going to be able to upload hd broadcast tv shows that they recorded with their TiVo or downloaded off of bittorrent. -

Grant Robinson also developed Montage-a-Google which takes search terms you specify and creates a montage of those words with images. -
I was just approved for hosting earlier today. Before being approved I had about 35 credits. I just logged back into the forums and it's showing that I have 1.94. I thought the 20mb host plan was 10 credits? My cPanel is showing 20mb available for use yet over 30 credits have been taken.

Get Rid Of The Banner Ads In Yahoo Mail This is a legal way
unfortunate replied to trihhoang's topic in General Discussion
Lol or you could use firefox and the adblock extension to clean up the interface. -
I'm going to say California. Washington is great and all, but Cali is where it's at.. The sun, the girls, the beach, the waves.. I can't imagine a better place to kick back and relax. The traffic is horrible, but I'd be willing to put up with it.

I have a black lab/sharpe mix. He's alright. I paid for professional training. It has all gone down the drain. He's the biggest mutt in the world. Stubborn also. He seems to do whatever he wants without really listening to anyone. I tried training him again but he just won't listen. I also have a bearded dragon. It's a better pet compared to my dog anyday. That and it's amusing to watch him eat. You can't really say it's amusing to watch your dog eat kibbles and bits.

Aimfire Firefox Extension Integrated AIM client in Firefox
unfortunate replied to unfortunate's topic in Software
My aim sn is idereks. I don't usually sign on any of my computers since I have a sidekick. I'm usually out anyway. -
No you'll need the additional software to rip DVD movies. Alcohol is very popular with some of my windows users. I usually do my ripping on OSX so I don't really have experience as far as Win applications.
-
http://aimfire.mozdev.org/ If you're running a portable version of Firefox on a thumbdrive this is a great extension to have. You'll never need to worry about your host computer having an AIM chat client. Better then the web version of AIM but missing features that full chat clients like Trillian or the official AIM client have. Cross platform compatible.

Are you on windows or OSX?
