  1. That was a host I found too, but I was never able to use it. I tried signing up twice. Once with a Gmail account and once with a Yahoo account, but I never got the confirmation email on either! So I couldn't activate my account! All the faq about this says to do it sign up again and check spam folder, but of course that doesn't work... So then I try to ask a question in their help section, type the whole thing up to submit the "ticket," and then it never shows up.... so I get now help... Complete waste of time. It sounded really nice but those were empty promises.
  2. Well, I just went with Wii on the poll since that is the latest system I have, but I have a whole lot more since I collect video game stuff. Whenever I go to yard sales and see a cheap system, I'll usually pick it up. Systems I can name off the top of my head: I believe that is all of my systems although I do have some Commodore computers too, and then for handhelds I have a collection too: I have too much stuff.. but no Xbox 360 or PS3 yet
  3. sorry, I posted same thing twice. Computer not loading pages right, and I can't figure out how to delete this double post.
  4. Yeah, I picked it up for like two dollars once at GameStop. I haven't really played it though. I did a little of the cruising no objective mode, but I couldn't stand how you couldn't get a new car unless you restart. The story mode was so hard back then, I didn't feel like bothering completing the first thing in the garage where you have to perform some moves without wrecking too much. But I'm older now so maybe I should go back and try it again. Sounds fun. However I did play Driver 2 a lot. I couldn't get too far in story mode, but I would play the cruising mode (I believe it was called Undercover?) for hours.I loved escaping from the police and switching cars. Haven't tried the newer versions, because usually when a new comany takes over a series, like in this case, everythign goes down hill. That apparently has happened .
  5. I don't trust her at all, and it scares me that she could be the VP of a 72 year old man that has had cancer four times already.I don't like how she abused her power as Governor and lies.I don't like her beliefs on foreign policy... she's willing to go to war with Russia! They even have video of her shooting an assault rifle.I don't like her lack of knowledge. Come on, doesn't know any newspapers, and doesn't know what the Bush Doctrine is? Also didn't have an understanding of the bailout plan. At least she can see Russia from her house. She couldn't even raise her family properly (teenage daughter pregnant), how can she run our country? She has a baby son with down syndrome that she should be taking care of.And to top it all off, they often have her standing at a podium with a sign that says "Country First" when she clearly wasn't the pick to put the country first. Strategic pick yes, but best no. At least not in my eyes.Well, not out to offend anybody, but I just have bad feelings about this "maverick" or pit bull with lipstick as she calls herself.
  6. Well, I started out with Yahoo! mail. But I couldn't stand the ads, how you have to go to home page to sign in, how it won't remember log in passwords, how max log in time is two weeks, and the general look and feel. Plus so much nonspam ends up in the spam folder! Then when I find out Gmail is no longer invite only, I get an account and dump Yahoo.I like Gmail's SPAM filter much more, the look, the search function, the page set up, and ease of use. I'll be sticking with Gmail!
  7. I went with Wii and DS.Wii has Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Wi-Fi, all kinds of neat channels and can play GameCube games and run a lot of virtual console software. So you get the best of all generations.DS has tons of titles, is thriving, and is backwards compatible with GBA which has an awesome but extinct library.
  8. I used to have it. I got it with a lot of used DS games I bought on eBay. However, I did not like it at all from the start. I couldn't stand talking with the microphone into the DS. That's just too awkward. Plus it was so annoying how it wouldn't understand me and how many times I had to repeat the dog's name etc. So I got rid of it.But I guess I'm a bit biased since I'm a cat person
  9. I had to go with "Other" on this one. My favorite PS2 game is without a doubt Star Wars Battlefront (one). I love the third person shooter style with all the awesome Star Wars characters and vehicles. There are so many different types of guns, secondary weapons, turrets, star craft, and land vehicles. I also love the variety and size of maps. I like the strategy of capturing different command posts, and depleting thier reinforcements by having more territory. Also I used to play online a lot. It's free online and there was always a decent amount of people to play. Man I feel like getting back into it! I like it a lot better than Star Wars Battlefront II because in the second one it seems to be all about the Jedi and Sith Lords, but I'm more into fighting with infantry than having one superpowered player running around slaying everyone. Also I'm not too interested in space battles.
  10. Hmm, my last day of school was on Friday, so lets see what I can remember...First of all, on Friday my school has "Friday Reading," where the teachers must spend the first 15 minutes of class having us read. I usually just sit there and pretend to read though, since I really hate reading books. By th e way, you may notice I only have four classes, and this is due to the way my school works. For the first semester, I have only four classes each day and each is about an hour and a half. Then the second semester I have the other four classes that I did not have yet.The day starts off with Spanish III, and in this class I had a small quiz. It was fairly easy. It was on imperfect verbs, and translating sentences that used them. This class went really fast and wasn't hard or stressful.Next I had Phys Ed. This class is funny, because there used to have two classes combined, but at a point each class has to go to Safety ed. My freind was with the second gym teacher and is off at Safety ed. Along with him went nearly all the guys. It's funny, now there are a total of seven guys in the class and maybe 20 girls? Well anyway, in Friday's class we just warmed up with stretching and a little jogging. After that we played some softball where it was impossible to strike out. We didn't play very long so I got to hit the ball one time, and it never came close tome during field play. Oh well, gym was over and was really easy and fast.Next I have Honors US History II. This class is split in half for lunch in the middle. Most of the first half was used up for the Friday reading, and after that I only had to do a little reading and answering questions with a group. Luckily I was assigned a good group. We finished most before lunch. Now was lunch, there are three lunch periods in my school. Each semester everyone gets assigned one.' A' lunch is right after block two. 'B'lunch is in the middle off third block. And 'C' lunch is right after block three. I obviously have 'B' lunch. So I go, stand in line. Luckily not too many people butted in line. I never but and line and that is one of my pet peeves I guess. It was pizza. Every Friday is pizza at my school district. Sometimes they switch it up with different types of pizza, but this was just plain old "Italian Cheeze Pizza." Nothing special. Just greasy not special pizza. Not very good or bad, but also no very filling since you only get one piece, a small drink, some vegetables, and a desert. Sat with friends at lunch, and they're pretty out of control but whatever. Now it was time to go back to History class.Returning to History class, we finished up our reading and questions from the text book. Now we had to present to the class as they copy down our answers. I don't' mind speaking in front of the class, and neither did my group. Things went OK for that. I then had to copy down other group's answers. All the groups didn't finish presenting, so now the rest of the answers are homework. Didn't do that yet, but shouldn't be too hard.Next was Computer Applications I. I put this class as an alternative if the other classes I wanted, like Web Design, werent' available, and I got this. Great, now I'm going to be the master of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. This teacher takes Friday Reading very seriously and makes us make a response on the day's reading strategy. Today's strategy was Visualizing, so I had to type a little bit on what I could visualize. The only other thing we had to do in this class was type some paper up and use a few formatting on it from Microsoft Word. Well I had gotten this done the day before since I'm a fast typist, and I had nothing to do... so GAMES! Yay, that's fun. I just went on my old website and played flash games the whole time. My school tries to block all websites with games, but mine isn't popular enough to get caught, so I'm in good shape . This class was cut short for a pep rally at the end of the day. I hate pep rallies, because they're unbearably loud, hot, crammed, and boring. The noise is the worst, they have the the loud speakers turned up so loud my ears literally start ringing and go all rattly. Lucky I went to the library at school earlier in the morning to reserve a spot on the list to go there instead of the pep rallies. Luckily two of my friends did the same and we could hang out. We just went on the computer. I answered a couple questions on that History homework, but spent the rest of the time browsing Google from 2001. My one friend was working in Flash and my other was showing me stuff he made, like how he's learning how to make platforming games. Bell rings and it's time to leave. A huge rush of students pours out of the doors of the gym where th pep rally was held. They're all hyped up and loud, typical after a pep rally...Now it was time to go home. One of my friends rides on the bus home so I talked to him for a bit. Listen to my iPod Classic the rest. Even though I'm one of the last off the bus, it is a quick ride since it's not a rowdy bus, and I have something to do whether it is a game of music.Well that was my Friday.
  11. My mom has a Nikon D-80, and it can shoot in RAW or JPEG or even both at the same time. But we just use JPEG, because she likes to take her camera to CVS to use their machines to make prints and edits. She's not into using our computer (we only have old ones anyway). The problem with RAW is that the computers at stores that offer digital prints don't support RAW yet, at least where I live. Oh well, thanks for the info. I actually didn't know that stuff. It will be useful in the future when RAW becomes popular enough to be mass supported.
  12. I'm actually switching from Byethost to Xisto (just have to wait for an account here). Byethost seemed to have a lot of downtime for me, and one site I hosted on it won't even load at all anymore. A couple days ago when I went to log in, cPanel said it was unable to contact me and needed my email address. So I put in my gmail account, and it gives me a message saying how yahoo accounts aren't permitted, well it had the word Yahoo in the email name, so it got confused apparently. It wouldn't let me log in, and I had to wait until the next day to be able to access my files. Then I wanted to upload a 3mb swf file, but it wouldn't work. It was under the stated limit, but I guess my internet upload speed wasn't fast enough to upload it in the 500 second time limit that was posted. That's why I'm switching along with this having more space. It wasn't a really bad host, I mean heck it was free. Since this site only allows one account, I'd probably go back to byethost to make a small little free site if I got the urge since I'm already used to it.
  13. Pop under ads are the worst in my opinion. Like after you try to go to your desktop, and their are tons of ads you didn't even know were there slowing your computer down. I remember having a slow computer where it would take a long to just close them and I'd loose response of my computer. I don't mind pop ups as much since you see them coming up while they're loading and can close them really fast. I hate the ones that make noise and a voice comes on like: "Congradulations! You have won a free Xbox 360 etc etc." I don't respect businesses that use these methods of advertising. My favorite is little text ads, like from Google, plus the content in those is actually interesting to you unlike some pop up for "Get a free screen saver (with a bunch of also free malware...)" ads.
  14. I'm in 10th grade now, and have been wearing glasses since 5th grade. I wear them all the time. My vision is not that bad, and hasn't gotten too much worse in the past years, but I like to be able to see clearly all the time. I can see up close very well, but it is far sights where I'm a little weak. I want to stick with glasses because I don't want to have to get super risky surgery or wear stickers on my eyes .Oh, and another reason is that I have had Transitions lenses in all my pairs of glasses. So I've become hooked on having sunglasses on outside... with contacts I'd need to wear shades outside anyway, so why not just wear glasses then. At least that is how I see it.
  15. I tried using Opera on my computer before but it just isn't supported enough, like my favorite forum that was based of vBuletin wouldn't even load right. Like the box to type posts in was all oodly vertically stretched (not wide enough). Because of this I never used it more than a few minutes.Internet explorer is just to insecure, bulky and slow.Chrome was too basic for me, not enough options. Last time I used it, I couldn't find any way turn on auto scrolling (when you click center mouse button to turn cursor to scroll arrow). I liked how zippy and light weight it was. I found it the best for buying/downloading mp3s from Amazon.com quickly without their faulty download tool. Another thing was that the address bar doubled as ONE and ONLY ONE search function. I like having options.I tried Safari. Loved the look, but it was just lacking in features similar to Chrome.FireFox3 is where it's at for me. I'm hooked on Adblock, Greasemonkey, and other add-ons. Also I like the compatibility, very few problems there. The tab system is my favorite, and the search bar is great how you can have google, yahoo answers, wikipedia, eBay, and more of my favorites all in one drop down menu. FireFox3 wins!
