  1. Yeah really, it's not too hard to lift it up or put it down before you do your stuff. I'm curious, does this happen a lot? Do women really want the toilet seat down?
  2. Invisibility. Watch out, girls. :)No really though, I'd choose invincibility, because pain sucks.
  3. If you're having fun, you can't really say time is being wasted, unless, of course, you think having fun is a waste of time. I think this all depends on your life objective. Do you want to be rich? Then playing games could hinder that life objective. Personally, I just want to live a life where I'm happy, so to me, games are great.
  4. So dry skin may make you break out more? What about pool water? I really need to find a way to get rid of my acne.
  5. I'm usually doing a sport(swimming usually), chilling around with my friends, or glowsticking. In between all that I sleep.
  6. Last book I read was Babbitt by Lewis Sinclair. Don't read this book, it's boring. And it was purposely made boring by the author to satirize the 1920's middle class' monotonous brainwashed society.
  7. Any Mets fans here?I'm getting chills and blasts of memories from last year, now that the Phillies are just 1 game behind us. Sunday's game was just brutal, it was like a good movie with a really bad ending(No Country For Old Men). The good news is that we'd be winning the wild card if the Phillies passed us, but after last year, I'm not content with settling with the wild card. We need to tell the Phillies that we are the better team, you guys got lucky last year and it's not happening again. I mean, we even went out and got Johan Santana, and he was supposed to be the difference maker. Of course, this year we have some bad injuries(Maine and Wagner) that might cost us. We need a real closer to pitch for us, instead of this Luis Ayala guy, it's really unfortunate that Billy Wagner had to get hurt down the stretch. And during the off season we might need to sign a FA, maybe Brian Fuentes or K-Rod. I don't think we'll get K-Rod though because we still have to pay Billy Wagner's salary.Let's hope for the best, because I don't know what I'm going to do in October if the Mets don't get in.
  8. I don't think movies and video games desensitize people. Yes, they are seeing blood. Yes, they are killing people in games. But it all comes down to this question: do they know that they're not in real life? I've played tons of bloody games, and seen countless movies with death and destruction. I watch it knowing that this is just a movie, it's not real. When I saw a pool of blood for the first time in real life, it was completely different from a being immersed in a made up world. I remember thinking, "Wow. So this is what blood looks like". Violence in games and movies are not the same as violence in real life. It's much more real(for lack of a better word) in real life.
  9. Maybe these societal morals are embedded into our minds by genetics. Let's say that love comes naturally. Human beings can love without society telling them that they can love. Let's also say that when a loved one dies, or is hurt, humans feel grief naturally as well. Perhaps morality stems from these two conjectures: morality stems from emotions. Murder is wrong because you don't want you or your loved ones to die. Stealing is wrong because it's not fair for someone to take away something you worked hard on. So in all, no one decided these things, it came about naturally. For some of the other things like drugs and smoking, they kill you, so it's wrong. Green lights mean go and red lights mean stop is arbitrary and is just there to prevent people from dying from car accidents.
  10. But the thing is, younger people grew up with this stuff, so it's a lot easier to pick up, so the younger generation is not really smarter, just accustomed to new things. That seems unlikely, because by your logic, problems would be eliminated quickly if each generation learned from the mistakes of the previous generation. War still occurs, violence is still everywhere, and genocides are still happening.
  11. I've only been snowboarding once and skiing once, and I can tell you I have a lot more respect for snowboarders. Skiing was really easy to learn compared to snowboarding, and a lot less painful. After my first day of snowboarding, I was sore, everywhere, from falling.I haven't done any of the other things though.
  12. Oh yeah, there is no comparison between Chrome and Firefox/Internet Explorer, but the Firefox Beta and Internet Explorer beta are almost on par with Chrome. I'd pull up some articles I read before, but I'm too lazy.
  13. I was thinking about something like that. That idea sounds very interesting and I think it'll work. Thanks.
  14. Well, I want to use an outside program to do this, so Sessions wouldn't really work right? And I don't want a login thing, I only want my program to be able to add to this database, rather than certain people.I guess I could use Post, but that would only be slightly more secure since you can just look at the headers.Sorry about the confusion.
  15. My least favorite sport to play is track. There's nothing appealing about running around in circles. Watching Usain Bolt beat the WR without trying is fun though, so watching is cool.Least favorite to watch is soccer. Not enough action from me.
