Trap17 Is Amazing Hosting Service
armondtimesbelize replied to arbd's topic in Websites and Web Designing
I just got accepted to Xisto for a free hosting account and i'm about to finalize all my free hosting account and i hope it's as good as everyone said. I'm looking forward to using and if it's as good as everyone says i will place a link/button on my site to Xisto, so i can help spread the word about decent free web hosts that are still around. -
I use to use bravenet and it was OK, but there was no php support and you have to sign up before you can use their email services. But you get free sub domain on activation and you have a limit of up to 5 sub domains. Overall, i think its faster to use bravenet, because you don't have to worry about posts or using the forums, except there are Ads on every page.Another host i use to use was 741.com which was by far the worse free host i used. They actually embedded pop-up ads on your page...so you have to see them when you enter each page. At least with other free host that have pop-ups you can enable your pop-up blocker and they would be removed. Bu this host forces you see their ads

I use to use IE too, but then when Firefox came out i switched because it had more features, it tabbed pages, has more extensions and you can customize it. Personally, i don't use IE anymore because i find Firefox more suitable for general web browsing. I still keep IE for testing my websites. I kind of like Apple Safari too because it really make the text and image cleaner, so that's another of my favorite. I haven't tried Opera as yet, but I'm going to get it because many people have been talking about it being a good option.

Well this looks great and is straight to the point. On the left are the quick links that take the visitor directly to where s/he needs to good which is also good. I understand u use to have a pic. for your background, which i think was really unprofessional. But you fixed it up and it looks good right now. I think that your forums and chat services are really interesting. By what i am seeing it seems your tracking the weather, which is great. Overall, i'll give it a 8/10. Keep up the good work. -

Confessing To Someone You Like
armondtimesbelize replied to fallenfirebanshi's topic in Dating And Relationships
Well i don't know how this will help, but i just want to give a personal story.Back in junior high i like this girl, but i didn't know if she liked me. but i would always stare at her and i guess she got the message after a couple of weeks. We didn't really talk much, but i always admired her from afar. Somehow along the road i think this other girl like me and i guess because she was constantly aware of what i was doing, picked up on me admiring the other girl. So she texted me and asked who i liked, but i didn't want to tell her. She went on and on, until she started to call out each girl's name in my class until i finally told her who i liked (selene). I don't think she told anyone, but that was ok and i admire her for keeping the secret. Most other people would who liked someone, would probably be blabbing to everyone about this when they found out they weren't liked.Anyways, another story. I text i sent the girl who like me remained on my cell and out of some weird coincidence i went to a friend's house for a school project. They were all girls and childish and wanting to know everyone's story. I was a bit shy or else i would have already asked the girl out who i liked. These girls waited until i left my cell unattended and snatched i and took it to there room and read everything. Most of it was meaningless chatter, but like the last message was the one send to that girl about the girl i really liked at the time. This was the worse predicament i could have been it. By the next day, I'm sure everyone found ou that i liked this girl. Even though she probably already knew because of the starring, this confirmed it! But know everything was awkward and we really avoided each other. This is just another story in life how things happen. I never really got to asking her out, but such is life. One questions i would like to ask someone, after all that do you think my chances are ok with getting with her. i mean...finally asking her out. It's like 2 years since, but i know she's isn't going out with anyone...she an indoor girl who probably won't get into a serious relationship until another 1/2 years. We're now in high school and i'm a boy for those who think Efrain=girl's name. Want to hear ur replies. She's ok, but i think i accidentally attached one of my journal document when i was sending here an email, with personal stuff that included how felt about her back then.Efrain was here! -
I think innovation is the reason we change our likes and dislikes. Back when the internet started Yahoo's and MSN's home pages seemed like the coolest things around. But when the internet progressed and advances came along like CSS, Javascript and flash animation, some sites i like didn't seem all that cool after all. I used to use Yahoo fro mail, then Hotmail/Live, but now i use gmail. Overall i think gmail has a simpler and easier interface. I actually signed up for like 15 different email account with like 15 different services, but i forgot bout them for years now and the inbox must have already reached the limit. Anyways, i think the top 3 would be...gmail, hotmail then yahoo...but that's just me.Efrain was here!

What Is Your Home Or Start Page?
armondtimesbelize replied to mikeyboy63's topic in Websites and Web Designing
I use 3 different browsers: IE, Firefox and Safari. On IE "MSN.com" is the default home page, on Firefox "Firefox Google" is the default home page and on Apple Safari "Apple.com" is the default home page. I really don't worry about it, because when i use the internet i navigate away from them immediately, usually because there's something i specifically want to do. If i bother you, because you have a slow internet connect, i advise using "about:blank" or "Google". Sometimes, my default home page is my personal website, but i guess it depends on the person with the computer. -
Before Google, i either used MSN, Yahoo, Yahooligans, Ask Jeeves and a few other i can't remember. When i use to use Ask Jeeves they never answered my questions and always led me to kiddy websites. I once typed: 'how to make a for dummies book for dummies' and it came up with: 'how to make cake.' Yahooligans and Yahoo aren't really pictured as a search engine because they have too many things on their home page. Google is plain simple and you get right to the search, which is the important part. MSN was ok, but they had a lot of sponsored links/site and i think they are using "live search" or something, need to check. But i use Google before any other search engine, sometimes i don't get what i am looking for but i is still better than alot of other search engines out there.

I'm wondering when Google Earth will update too. I have the free version, but i think they could update those pictures every year. Some of the images are really old, like 2/3 years back from where i am. I know it's cool to have the entire world from your desktop, but it would help to update regularly. I hope when they update it's not like 1 year back, but at least as recently as possible.

I'm not as advanced as other website designers, but about a month ago i designed this local news website. I need someone to rate it and tell me what they think and give me some pointers to fix it up or even change the look completely. I've changed the design about 3 times already. It contains local news about my home country Belize and i only take about an hour to update daily. Any pointers, suggestions, questions i will appreciate. Armond Times Belize

When i first began designing websites, like most people just staring out, i knew nothing about HTML. So i used the website builders and, at first, i really like them because i didn't know better. But then i was tired of not being about to modify their templates. So i decided to learn HTML and using ftp to transfer my files. I began using notepad with the little HTML knowledge i had. Then i used Microsoft Front Page, which helped me a lot. But know I'm using Adobe Dreamweaver and Macromedia Flash to design cool animations for my website. Overall, i don't think those website builders or their templates are the best thing to do. I would recommend anyone to learn HTML and use an WYSIWYG program, because you can control the layout and design how you want it to be. Besides, the best website designs weren't done using someone's template or site builder, but getting down and doing some real work.Efrain was here.
