  1. hrmm... interesting question... I think I'll go with some of my favorite songs from the rock'n'roll era: The Beatles, Buddy Holly, Ritchie Vallens etc. or I'll go with a ka-boom with punk, rock, grunge: Guns'n'Roses, The Sex Pistols, Nirvana; maybe balads on Macedonian or Serbian (quite popular in my surroundings as we are an ex-yugoslavian country)... can't think of anything else right now :PB)

  2. I don't like Runescape like most of the crowd in here either. I don't think that it's fun and charging for features that do make you a more advanced player and you actually do get better functions that are important and give you advantages in the game, frankly, is really stupid. They should've made the game's 'premium' features to not give any advantages in the game like Hattrick per example. B)

I'm not an addict in any game, though I've been one before so I know how it's like to not play something for a long time, so you must have a tougher character (something that most under 15 year old kids don't have) to get over such an addiction that makes you sleep less than 3h per day. I play Hattrick, but it's a football simulation and matches happen only 2 days a week so you don't have to check out your team every second to see if your stats 'built up'. B)

Anyhow, none of my friends hasn't played RS and I haven't met anyone IRL (nor someone from my country online) that 'suffers' from that kind of addiction.

    I'm safe, huh? :PB)

  4. Welcome to our small peace of the internet LadyOwl!

I'm sure you already read the important links that Fractured Logic gave you and I'm sure that you won't post short one-liners (considered SPAM in this board) by the looks of your intro here. You can get fantastic top-quality hosting here, something you'll never get from other free web hosts! B)

Have fun and stay here whenever you can! :P

  5. Map of Bones by the author James Rollins is a great thriller and mystery mixed book with fast-paced actions with intellegently put puzzles lying around every corner of the book, but on the other hand it's kind of boring on some parts because of the repeating of the activites.?

I borrowed it from the library 4 days ago by a recommendation of several friends and couldn't stop reading it, very addicting!

    Short plot below:

A band of intruders, highly armed dressed in robes of priests, unleash a weapon during a cathedral service in Cologne, that makes the lifes of the people there a nightmare and they die with horrible deaths. They didn't came for the masterpiece of gold with which the preserved bones of the three Magi lie in, but they came for the bones themselves! The bones afterwards turn out to be very important for the sole future of the world.

From then on, a Vatican carabinieri lady Rachel Verona and her uncle join with Grayson Pierce and his team to solve the mysteries and prevent the Dragon Court, the organization which stood behind the Cologne attack, to get full control of the Magi's secrets.

A fantastic read, nevertheless, you must read this book not only if you are a Da Vinci fan, but if you find other Dan Brown's and other thriller books writers books highly enjoyable, you'll find this one too!

    Buy it from Amazon:

  6. what can you recommend for online file storage then cicala? Cant find anything better than microsoft one.. although im not really a fan of MS.

Yes upload over skydrive is slow im having trouble uploading 30GB of files.

I'm also using GMX right now it has 1GB free storage, no google drive please, exes are not allowed.

Here's a great topic made by Sky and also 'upgraded' by others which contains all the bigger file storage options you have.

I'll recommend Dropbox to you. As I'm lazy to do another review of it, I'll just copy and paste what I told there:

It has a free plan with 2 GBs of absolutely free storage and it has a paid plan for $9.99 a month (or $99 a year) for 50 GBs of space. You can share, undelete, view all the edits, upload and download using the web interface and much more!

You also can refer new people to Dropbox and earn up to 3GB of extra space (250 MBs for a single referal) if you are a free user or up to 6 GBs (500 MBs for a single referal) if you are a subscriber. More info on the main site after you download the software and sign up from it after you install it B)

So that makes about 5 gigs of free space on which you can put documents, music, videos or whatever your soul wants it'll work on any computer :P

If you like, you can sign up under my account and Dropbox will give BOTH you and me additonal 250 MBs of extra space. Contact me via PM to give you my referral link.

  7. Miladin - love it B)

    I love it too B):P

Windows: *convulsive twitch* I use a Mac when I am Linux-deprived B) Windows is only for when I absolutely have no other choice.

One of them Mac users eh? B) I'm glad that you don't use Windows and you use Linux whenever you have the chance. I'd like to get a Mac or atleast experience the Mac but nobody in my near presence (nor me) has money to buy those kinds of expensive things. Even if I have something saved I wouldn't waste it on a Mac B)

I indeed used the same email for both - though I am not sure how long it should take for it to register my earnings? Or does the Introduction category not attribute any?

You need to make more than 5 posts for your myCents to get counted below your avatar and the script to start working for you.

  8. Thank you very much, Mila - may I call you that?

My exact name is Miladin and my surname is Miladinoski and it's read like Aladdin but if you replace "Ala" with "Mila" B)

Linux-user - sadly, due to various circumstances I would be disallowed to disclose, no. Linux-:P, however, always. Always interested in Linux-related discussion and adoration.

No problem man, we're always here to help, even after Windows users B) B)

Great links - so much useful information. I'm really looking forward to getting involved!

No problem man! Finally, some action! B)
As you're an avid gamer as you say, you may want to guess which characters in a cult RTS game have those 2 lines. Hint below.
Hint: It's a game from Eidos Interactive and you play with a group of

    commandos

  9. Hello Fractured.Logic, a really nice and detailed intro you posted there, that's really good and not what 99% of the members do! Because of the really great introduction which got me interested, I'll post quite a bit info to get you into this board B)

  14. I have attached what i could make out of your description. That is, to me you have requested for something pretty simple, so if you're looking for something more complex, you'll have to describe more.

    post-8528-1240122437_thumb.png

That's absolutely awesome!! A member on other GFX forum made the next one for me and I used that one 'till now, seems I'll have a tough decision either to keep the old one or the replace it with this one and yeah, I know it's pretty simple, but I lack in the skillz, I need to develop them. B)

Also consider this topic resolved and it can be closed for the time being :P

  15. And now to the semi finals.

Yep, I guess they'll be quite entertaining as the quarter-finals were atleast a bit so we'll have quality fun and adrenalin flowing in our veins :P

(darker color means more chances to qualify IMO)

    Man Utd vs Arsenal

I think that Manchester has quite the edge in this match, even though they play the first match at home which is considered a drawback in a competition like this. I really despise Man. and I hate to say that, but they will kick the BLEEP out of Arsenal, trust my word!

    Barcelona vs Chelsea.

In this match, even though Chelsea plays away first, I think after the fantastic show they made up at Anfield last week, they will show how real English football is played and they will win both matches (if not make a draw on one of them) and will play with Man. Utd. in the finals.

If Chelsea plays with Manchester in Rome, I bet that Chelsea would be the champion and get 'the Devils' back the debt from last year. They deserve to win the CL! Absolutely deserve it. B)

After the mouth-watering 4-4 draw between Chelsea and Liverpool, one could wonder if the semi-final could repeat the drama at Stamford Bridge.

I want atleast one of the 4 matches in the semi-finals to be like the match between the giants, or maybe the final match can surprise me, who knows B)

  16. So could you spare more details on what makes Vbulletin so great? You only have to pay for the license one time correct?

There are 2 types of vBulletin licences:

    Owned License$180.00

The owned vBulletin Forum license allows you to run the software on your site indefinitely. Along with this license, you will receive one year of free updates. Beyond the first year, a nominal fee of $60 (or $40 if purchased within 60 days of the license expiring) is payable to obtain updates for an additional year.

This license includes free support via email and on the community forum. Phone Support is not included in the license price but may be purchased for an additional cost either at the time of initial purchase, or afterwards through the Members' Area.

    Leased License$100.00

The leased vBulletin Forum license allows you to use the software on your site for 1 year and gives you access to products updates for that year. After 1 year, you must renew your license or remove the software from your site.

This license includes free support via email and on the community forum. Phone Support is not included in the license price but may be purchased for an additional cost either at the time of initial purchase, or afterwards through the members' area

    Info

For a comparison, IPB has also 2 types of licences but the 'standard' one it's cheaper though you have only 6 months of updates instead of 1 year:

    Standard licence$149.99

    6 months support/upgrades

    30 days phone support

    2 business day ticket response

5 day major version upgrade turnaround

Minor version upgrade via easy upgrade pack

One active installation + one test installation

After 6 months: $25 renewal option to access upgrades and ticket support

    Business licence$299.99

    6 months support/upgrades

    6 months phone support

    1 business day ticket response

3 day major version upgrade turnaround

3 day minor version upgrade turnaround

One active installation + one test installation

After 6 months: $50 renewal option to access upgrades and full support

    Info

Hope that made it clear for you :P

  17. twitbacks is just the thing you were looking for! I used this service in the past and I like the way how the backgrounds are created, but I don't use it on my main Twitter account B)

It offers planting your details like the name of your company, website, your own logo and personal picture, email address and so on on a background that suits you from the big gallery they offer or you can put your own background picture. For a small fee ($4.99) you can remove the really small branding they put on your template and also exclaim your support of the service to keep it living. All that is made in a matter of 2-3 minutes. :P

Please share your opinion about this website and tell us if it served you right B)

  18. Yep, I do think that it's possible, too bad that it hasn't been proven, I see it as a way of travel from one place or another, and others see it as a way to get back into time. I haven't researched around this topic, but I agree with rpgsearcherz that 100 years ago no-one could've imagined travel of data like these via something called the Internet, why should we make the same mistake and think the same about wormholes? B)

Imagine the whole planet gets swallowed by a gigantic wormhole! Fantastic! ... or maybe not ... :P

  19. Awww, I don't use WLM 2009 as I'm not on Windows® but I wouldn't use it even if I was IMHO, because:

Is full of bloated junk you won't use (like almost every third or second Microsoft product is)

It will hog your computer unnecesarilly if you have lower RAM

Is full of ads that I can't stand all over in it (lucky that a product like AdMuncher exists to block them :P)

If I ever install Windows, the only MSN messenger program I'll use will be either Emesene or Pidgin

Neither of my friends like it, they just stay with the good ol' 8.5 which serves them nicely and they don't complain about it.

  20. As some, I also find this hard to be possible, I don't get how you can lose weight by eating meals at McDonald's. B) If it's true (he ate salads and similar stuff like a member said), then I congratulate him with his bravery to lose weight in such manner and become a popular person too, but eating low-calory food at McDonald's is no different by eating low-callory food at home, except that people would make you a lunatic if you do it overthere :PI'm happy that I don't have a McDonald's in my city. Fast food just makes people fat and nothing else.

  21. I like doing sports a lot! I like football (soccer as americans call it :P) and ping-pong the most, but I don't mind playing basketball or volleyball either. As long as you are doing sports your health won't drop on a really low level!I've played soccer for almost all my life as a kid, I grown up with this game and now I play as the goalkeeper, and ping-pong for 3-4 years and I really love this fantastic game! I can't stop playing it with my friends if nobody interrupts me, I feel it as the most fun game that ever existed! The weird thing is that I despise playing tennis and it's really similar to ping-pong B)

  22. I exercise often if you take into consideration the fact that I ride my bike every weekend for 14 kms from the small city that I live in to the village where my grand-parents live — forth on Saturdays and back on Sundays.

Also I do exercise for ~10 minutes two or three times a week on the OrbiTrek Elite that my mom has bought for her and I also do exercise on the sports class when our teacher makes us so B)

Not that I'm fat, I'm really skinny, but it's really important for building up my muscles atleast a bit B)

ps. I also forgot that I play ping-pong when I'm in my village, we have a board and I play overthere for almost 2-3 years now and my skills have gotten up really high and it's SOOOO fun too!! :P
