In my opinion C++ is the best language for game development, then you can develop a text based game, and if you like to port it to a graphic mode you will be able to do it without many problems. One of the best examples is http://www.nethack.org/, it is text based and open source so you can check it. If you want to do it game just for fun and to enjoy the development, the best would be to start from the ground. If you want to make it in order to sell it, then you should go from scracth. Between Firefox and Internet Explorer i choose Firefox beacause it is really fast, the tabs works like should work, it is secure and other things. The only "con" i have against firefox is that it takes some pretty time to load.Internet Explorer is really unestable when i open many tabs at time.About Firefox 3, i dont like very much, it has many things i dont use. I love the stability of UNIX systems.I used Mac once so i cannot say much about it.But comparing Windows and Linux or Solaris, Windows is really unestable and slow.I also love hacking the linux kernel and soft, i learned a lot using this OS and i noticed that 2 months after using it i had learnt more than having used Windows for 10 years.The only con i found to linux is that most of the soft is designed for Win, but now that wine is gonna release their stable version with full support for office and Adobe products i thinks that they have take over of that problem of compatibility.RegardsPD: The linux distro i am using is Debian

Debian, it is the best. It is the more portable and now i am using Lenny dist that has included the last releases of Wine. So now i can use any Windows program in my Linux envoronment.Also Debian is good for low-resourse pcs, It installs without X-server, so you can use it as web/mail-server. If you want to use it as Desktop just apt-get install your favourite programs.I dont believe in the "distribution chooser", it says that the best for me was Suse, and I really hate Novell.Regards

Hi guys, you cannot criticise KDE4 whe it is still in beta stage.They say that it is not true, but it is. For the moment i recommend to keep using KDE3 or try Enlightement that is getting better with the time. If you dont lik none of them just keep using Gnome or try Fluxbox that is extremely fast for old pcs.RegardsLinux for ever.
