  1. ok well I do not know what country do you live at but let me tell you something. Big companies do not look for college graduates, your degree doesn't mean anything to them if you do not have some experience and some creative projects. So in my opinion, it's best to join a volunteer work rather than hope for a paid job right now. This will give you some experience and will introduce you to what's going on in your field right now and this way you'll know what you need for your portfolio. Also, try grabbing some professional e-books concerned with your domain and read them, these should be very helpful. Good luck buddy
  2. yup I'll have to agree with Mikey, you cannot do anything about the past. It's a long time ago anyway and you and your girlfriend have to get over it. Well it might be harder for her because it happened to her and not you, but time can heal anything that happened in the past. And the only thing you can do now is stop reminding her about this painful incident and be there for her whenever she needs you. Let her feel safe with you because such an incident leaves the person in great fear and anxiety because I know a girl who has been through the same thing and now she has a very low self esteem and always afraid. So try to boost her confidence in herself and show her some affection and care. But in order to do that, you HAVE TO get over it yourself and stop thinking about it and blaming yourself for not being able to screw the guys that did it to your girlfriend, it's all in the past now and you shouldn't blame yourself or her for what happened.
  3. Well the new Command & Conquer - Tiberium Wars is a good game but I don't think it's better than the previous one of C&C which is Generals - Zero Hour. In general, the game provides a good tactics game but it's either you make it extremely easy or impossible to beat through your tactics and the tactics of the computer, so there's no real competition in this game. Moreover, Zero Hour was much more realistic than this one and there were no almost invincible units like the Mammoth tank of Tiberium Wars which also added up to the reality of the game. But for example if you defend your territory well while building an army of let's say 30 Mammoth tank, then you can easily destroy any enemy. But after all, it's still one of the good games that someone would enjoy playing, I actually spend hours playing this game sometimes
  4. I would say that all religions are similar in general but they are different concerning the details. The heavenly religions are in fact an evolution of one religion which leads to one divine power that is God (Allah). But the difference is in the concept of God (Trinity as in Christianity or one being as in Islam and Judaism), and in some of the values, prohibitions, practices and so on... On the other hand, the difference between the heavenly religions and the others is about the concept of the divine power itself. Each of those other religions has its own divine power, and although they all agree that there must be some superior power they cannot agree about its nature. Buddhists worship Buddha, some Indians worship fire or cows, some Chinese worship their ancestors and idols... etc. But, almost all religions lead to the same combination of values which are actually the ethics of our societies: being kind to people, being honest, never steal, never curse, never commit adultery, respect others, appreciate women... etc. On the other hand, there's only one religion which contradicts all those teachings and values which is Satanism that preaches to worship the devil Satan.
  5. No, I'm sorry but I don't think you are right. The incoming energy is not at all the same as the outgoing energy. When the motor heats up, then it's using part of the energy and thus won't produce the same exact amount of energy and therefore we won't be having "free" energy; we'll be wasting energy in a way or another. And keep in mind that energy can never be created, nor destroyed... and this theory has been proven perfectly and as a consequence this should refute your idea because what you're suggesting is somehow generating free energy from nothing. But try it anyway and test for yourself, and good luck on doing that
  6. 1. What are your current feelings about how our government is handling our country? (not Iraq) 32. What do you think we should do about Iraq? A. Get out immediatly 3. Do you think we should have an increased communication/discussion with all countries? A. Definatly yes! (but only if it's DISCUSSION, and not INTERVENTION in others' affairs) 4. Who do you want to be the next president D. They're all bums!5. What are your feelings about the American people as a whole? C. Same as they ever where 6. Are you concerned about government spending? 7 7. What are your thoughts about our health care system? C. Everyone should get full health care 8. Do you think that mass protest between American citizens could spur on change in our country? B. Maybe some change is possible 9. All in all, what are your feelings about our country? B. We're gonna be o.k 10. What is your age, marital status, job field?I'm almost 19, single and studying business. Well I'm not really an American but I do know alot about your government. Your government has been screwing up my country and the whole region for the last 2 decades and mainly over the past 2 years. I am from Lebanon and Bush's government has been intervening in every aspect of our country. I believe they better mind their own affairs rather than screwing up others'. You Americans have enough problems for your government to take care of, so why in the hell does your government intervene in ours?! Overall, it was a good survey, I enjoyed answering the questions, thanks
  7. So far I've built a lot of websites and I've used a lot of forum software, free and paid, and among the free forum software I find phpBB to be the best so far. If you have a basic knowledge of php and if you know how to follow instructions, then you can add some mods to the original core of phpBB to enhance its great qualities and thus it would be even better than those which you actually have to pay for, and the best part of it is that it's still for free :DP.S: I haven't used UTF-8 yet. is it any good?
  8. well first of all, Vista needs a lot of RAM to handle it so you might want to check for that first. Anything less than 1 gig of RAM is not really efficient for VISTA. Moreover, if your pages are loading slowly, it might be your internet connection, maybe it's not a fast one? like maybe you're on dial-up or something, in this case no browser can help and you'll have to switch to a faster internet connection. But assuming that those two previous things I talked about are okay, then I advise you to use the latest version of Mozilla Firefox, it looks good and works much faster than internet explorer. actually I've been using Mozilla Firefox for years now because Internet Explorer is just not good enough, it needs alot of work to be considered a "decent" browser. good luck
  9. ok that's good and all but it's just not right!!! instead of curbing your appetite, you can still eat and lose weight, doesn't that sound much better?! try to "fix" your diet by eating less carbs and more proteins and that should help greatly. BUT that's absolutely not enough, you HAVE TO exercise in order to boost your weight loss... a 30 min cardiovascular exercise everyday won't kill you. if you keep on choosing the easy ways to lose weight you'll end up gaining weight I suppose, after all nothing comes easily, right?
  10. ok well this is a problem alot of people face actually. I believe that your best shot at stepping over this plateau is by exercising more than you usually do, watch you food (NOT try) by eating less carbs and more proteins (dairy, weigh and white meat - do not eat alot of red meat because it contains a high amount of fats) and stay away from sweets completely because this is what gains you the most weight. Besides, I advice you to follow a "cutting" weight lifting program which means low weights and high reps (around 20 reps per set), this will give you a good shape, and then once you lost a good amount of fats and you started seeing your body carved a little bit you might want to switch to a bodybuilding program... this way you will replace your extra "bad" weight (fats) with some quality weight (muscles)... wish you all the best buddy
  11. yup, muscle is the quality weight you can gain. but I don't think that squats alone is the best way to do it cuz that will concentrate the muscle gain in your legs and thighs and leave your upper body skinny. So the way I see it, it's best to join a weight lifting/bodybuilding program that will make you a muscled beast! My friend joined the gym I go to 10 months ago, when he started he was 55 kg only! now he's around 67 kg... but of course he had to take some protein shakes and supplements because his body's metabolism is so high and he couldn't build up muscles easily. So here's the best way to gain quality weight: a full weight lifting program, decent food (if you are too skinny you can eat as much as you want of carbs, rice, meat... etc but stay away from sweets and lipids/fats), protein shakes and supplements, 10 min cardio exercises to stay in a good carved muscled shape. that's it, try that and I'm sure you'll thank me...
