  1. Well, I think firefox surely have addons to handle torrents (I think). And I got one, see here http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ Yea, searching music in LimeWire is real fast. Even at the basic speed it already fast enough for me. (usually mp3s 3-9 MB and I'm downloading at 60-90 kbps)
  2. Playing those games for 2 hours makes me happy. Playing games for more than 3 hours make me DIZZY! I don't think it's a waste of time as I don't overplay
  3. Well, I havent go to university yet, but I do feel like that when I graduate primary and junior high school. Many of my best friends leave the country and study abroad, and it sucks to part with them. But now we got WLM, Skype, YM or others that makes us easy to communicate, and plan to do a reunion.
  4. Rapidshare? You can stand those security codes (now even with freaky cat and blurry text) and the time limit? I think most of people prefers P2P because of it's simple unlimited usage. Yes, give LimeWire a try. It's worth it
  5. Ya, own bot if you cannot kill regular pub peoples. Or train, we're all hate hackers
  6. well, I never hack at online play, I only hack to make fun stupid bots. Well, don't try to online with those hacks noob. But at least, see here for hacks http://www.google.com/
  7. Oh, so after reading these opinions from you guys, I don't think I need those updates. I got a good free antivirus and firewall anyway.Yes, WGA sucks just like Bill Gates does. Once, they claim my cousin's WXP as pirated, then my cousin takes that underground way, cracking WGA. He says "WTF, I own original XP and I need to crack it???"Um, some of my friend, experienced many programs don't run after updating WXP, do any of you guys ever experienced that kind of problem?
  8. LOL I just tought my ISP is the worst, but there's another one (no offence). Anyway, is it true to know your download speed is by dividing your advertised speed by 8.53?So for example, A guy has 1 Mbit connection, so 1024/8.53 = 120.046blablabla.. So he'll download files (when full speed) at 120 kbps. Is it true or false? I hear this from my friend
  9. Well, you can say that you cannot imagine if you're having 1Mbit connection like you did in past, while I cannot imagine having 10 Mbit connection, hahaha. Anyway, nobody owns 10 Mbit connection in their house in my country. As the fastest speed in here for home is 3 Mbit, hahaha, and 3 Mbit costs you around $100 per month!
  10. I am now running on Windows XP. I'm confused whether to use and install Windows Updates or not. My friends and some local IT support said that I do not need them. But many tech site suggests them to be installed. Here is my situation :I only use this PC to browse internet, download files, using P2P software, play games and other activity that doesn't require internet. I never use wireless internet, my PC is not linked to another PC (workgroup). Do I really need Windows Update at all? Untill now, I never experienced any crash or something without those updates. Please, I need your comments, thank you.
  11. No good MP3 tagger for free? Aw.. Anyway, Glary utilities rock, really useful all in one application
  12. Whoa, I'm gonna love Firefox 3. No need to type much. But I hate the new look
  13. Well guys, this is maybe a really basic tutorial that everybody knows, but I just thinking to share it here as maybe not everybody in this forum know about it (correct me if I'm wrong LOL). Ok, lets start it out. Defrag Your Harddisk(s)Frequency : weekly/monthly Defragging your harddisk makes access to files faster. Do regular defrag to get maximum performance of your harddisk. Personally, I don't recommend defragging using Windows' default disk defragmenter, try using program such as Defraggler, JKDefrag, or etc. (Defraggler is my favourite!) Tweak and clean registryFrequency : daily Registry is important part of Windows, by cleaning registry with tools such as Eusing Registry Cleaner, it will search for invalid registry, errors and perform cleanup. Delete junk and unneeded files from harddisk(s)Frequency : weekly/monthly Junk and unneeded files or programs suffocates your PC and waste diskspace. Regularly delete them and use Windows' Disk Clean up to perform such of these actions, or 3rd party software such as CCleaner to get even better result. Delete Prefetch filesFrequency : weekly/monthly The prefetch folder is used to help speed up the loading of programs XP will load programs it thinks you need before you ask for them yourself. But time to time it will overloads, so go to your Windows folder, look for prefetch folder and delete all files in that folder. Clean and optimize RAMFrequency : frequently/when needed When you close program, sometimes it fails to release itself from memory. By time to time, it consumes precious space in RAM and makes PC slower. Clear or optimize your memory using tools such as RAMBooster. Install antivirus and antispyware programFrequency : once LOL... Install antivirus and antispyware program to keep your PC safe. If you find out that paywares are too expensive, there's also great free antivirus such as Avira, AVG, etc. and regularly update them (My recommendation is install Avira, Spybot, AdAware, and Spyware Blater. They're rock!). Note : Spyware blaster don't remove spyware, it prevents spyware installed in your PC. Spybot detects most dangerous thread, but AdAware detects more dangerous cookie, so use both. Scan PC for threatsFrequency : monthly/when needed After downloading antivirus, it is a must to do a regular scan. Make note to update the program before scanning and turn off System restore before removing virus. Optimize visual effects, virtual memory, and processor usageFrequency : once/when new memory sticks added First, go to Control Panel->System->Advanced (tab)->Performance, click settings. Disable un-needed visual effects that you dont need such as animation when maximize and minimizing and other (yours to choose). Then go to advanced (tab), set both processor scheduling and memory usage to program if you want to make foreground program runs faster, and background to make background process faster. (I recommend program). Wait, not done yet change virtual memory, select drive that contains paging file. Set initial size 1.5 times as your actual RAM (if you have 1 GB ram, set it to 1500. 1000x1.5 = 1500) and set maximum size 2 times of initial size. Disable useless startupFrequency : when needed We don't need all programs to run at startup, it will take time to run, so go to run, type "msconfig" without quotes. Then a new window comes up, go to startup, untick un-needed programs and click apply (some program is REALLY required to run at boot, dont mess up with something you dont know. Google the process name to specify whether it is safe to disable or not). Disable Windows serviceFrequency : once/when needed Not going to say much about this, we dont need useless Windows services, so better turn it off to gain performance. Go to run, type msconfig, go to services, untick un-needed services and click apply, then go again to control panel->administrative tools->services. Stop the same services you untick. Lists of service which safe to stop can be searched in Google or in here : http://www.optimizingpc.com/optimize/windowsservices.html Sorry, there's too many, I can't type it all! Hopefully it helps
  14. As far I'm hosted on Xisto, I have no problems. It's one of the best free hosting.
  15. I never go to imagefilez website even once. Is it any better than imageshack?
  16. I owns a classic Nokia N70. Good phone with good price.
  17. Nah, I'm really not. Just think, young or old, if they're doing wrong, they need to say sorry if they make a mistake. Anyway, if you go to my country, there's a book about the teacher I told you. The writer is my senior. If you don't trust me, you can google for "Pesan dari murid untuk guru". That's the book's title. Only if you understand Bahasa Indonesia. Here's some link to it : http://multiply.com/ - My friend's blog, he's one school with me http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ - My school's forum Then with those link, I hope you take the words or your tought about calling me like that
  18. Study many days before the exams start. It's the most effective study way I'm using. And review again your exam subject 2 days or 1 days before exam. It should be more easier.Yea, personally I found computer sometimes distracting. Just ask someone to password your computer, so you can't use it (useful), or any way better to avoid you from the computer.
  19. Anyway, what type of connection is better? DSL or Cable? What's it's cons and pro?
  20. OK, preety enough description to make me interested. I'm gonna try GOM Player as soon as possible, hahaha.Anyway, I need program to tag my MP3 file, can you recommend some? And one more thing, I cant show some content like audio in my browser, it says it need quicktime plugin, but I dont want quicktime. Can you recommend something to bypass this?
  21. I use LimeWire to download, because usually I'm not downloading full album music. I never getting any malwares in LimeWire, and if I compare it to Kazaa, Shareaza, and Frostwire. LimeWire is the best. I don't know yet with others.
  22. Sony Vegas is real nice and so does Ulead. But I prefer Vegas that Ulead. Just download 2 trials and compare them LOL. That's little advice I have. Or if you don't need paywares, you can try Windows Movie Maker (I used it alot to make simple text and effects). And convert the video to AVI format later with free video converters
  23. Yes, I agree with your suggestion. I'm thinking, 500 MB may be sufficient enough only for a short period of time. I'm planning to post something like this too, but I see tricky777puzzle's post, so I just post it here. That feature will be nice. Maybe 30 credits for extra 50 MB?
  24. GOM Player? What does it do? It is better than KLite Mega Codec Pack and other software similiar? What's it's pro?
  25. Yea, Microsoft wants to own everything. Vista sucks anyway, it's taking higher specification and being a high performance impact on PC.
