Feedback On Webdesign ( Political Art Video Gallery )
dunkjmcd replied to gaea's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Get rid of the extra space below the text.Think about adding a footer to add professionalism to the site. Justsomething like copyright, last updated etc.If you can make yo0ur own favicon instead of Joomlas for the added touch. Otherwise its a pretty dark, clean website. goodwork and good use of cms -
These guys were my host before here. Quite similar that you have to post in the forum. Problem is you have two seperate accounts and one day i couldnt get access coz my forum account and hosting account couldnt attach together to check my posts.

I like the design. Simple and unclutteredMy suggestions:Your png images could easily be a jpg which would trim the file size down quite a bit. I also suggest using a contact form for emails rather than mailo: as many users use webmail which would mean right-click and copy link, to avoid the loading of outlook express etc.

For a website that offers such good free hosting, youd think there own site (minus the forums) would be better designed. Having been to a lot of free hosts websites, this one does fall in the the common trend that free host themsleves have a confusing, cluttered homepage. This is possibly due to there attempt to cram in as much offers and details on the one page as possible. I suggest to improve this site, it should take advantage of percentage width of tables to utilize the full width of the users screen, without reducing experience for those with smaller screens. Having looked at this page for example http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ it does look like very little effort has been put in to help a user navigate through there nonforum pages. I reckon the admins should make full use of many of its users design and html experience and run a competition for a new design that will be more appealing and user friendly.

1. I doubt the common user is interested in your hit count. Low numbers can even be embaressing for you. Instead, remove this and just keep track of it using your hosts statistics. 2. The quality of your images is really low. If youve got better copied try reexporting them as Jpegs at 80% or if there only a few colours, use gifs. Many people have high-speed connections these days so dont be afraid to include 50k+ images. 3. Use Css to set your text links to a more contrasting colour from the background. Dont be afraid o use templates or ask for specific coding help in the forums. check out http://www.w3schools.com/ for help on your html and css -
