  1. Well there's no telling, the Bible may have meant days in a less literal sense, but we won't know for sure until after we die, right? Either way, as an example, it doesn't address the fact that there are a lot of people who have literally gone all the way around the world, not just on "Government Controlled" airports, but in private jets. They've crossed the point at which there is supposedly according to this article, an "Ice Wall". What about people who travel from the US to Japan by going west?
  2. Game Maker is excellent for beginners, and is free to make games with, and costs $20 to register for extra features. It's what I use and it works great! It has a Drag and Drop mode where you can make games with no programming knowledge, and a coding mode for more advanced users called GML. Worth taking a look at, as it's VERY easy to use, and there's a lot of support for it: http://www.yoyogames.com/
  3. They tested that on Mythbusters, (My favorite show on Discovery Channel!) and proved it to be false, they even got one to bite and it did absolutely nothing besides a little minor itching. Daddy Long Legs are no more poisonous than a common spider anyone living at a fair distance north of the equator might find. Also, could you post your sources? Don't just post saying something is true, at least provide some links to the place you found out about it, or an article on the subject next time.
  4. Personally, I can't say I've played Starcraft, but it looks really cool, and I do like Real Time Strategy (RTS) Games. I've had a lot of fun with games like Command & Conquer: Generals, Red Alert, and Spring, so I'd definitely like to give this a try! It's got online play, right? And will it work on Windows Vista?
  5. Yeah, pretty sure you can't. However, your warn will go down over time so long as you don't break any rules, once it's back to 0%, I'm pretty sure you can get the free domain.
  6. Eh, I dunno, I just use Ultimate Zip sine it handles just bout ALL compressed file formats, very handy! From what I've heard, WinRAR can handle ZIP files, but WinZIP can only handle ZIP, so I guess WinRAR is better. HOWEVER, I always use ZIP files, because WinZIP is a more common one than WinRAR because it comes with WinXP and above, so not everyone has WinRAR, that way EVERYONE can download my files, and not just someone with WinRAR.
  7. The whole paying for MySQL thing stinks, I had a site there, and I had to have a lot of the dynamic content... *Shudders* Remotely Hosted... EW! I didn't know they used to provide that for free, but now that I do, I think it was really silly of them to change it. You can get a MySQL database just about anywhere for free, so why would anyone who needs MySQL PAY to get it there? The only reason I could think would be that they have good uptime and faster loading times then a lot of free hosts, but there are also plenty of free hosts with equally good uptime and speed (E.G. Xisto) that don't cost a penny. The only thing about 110MB that would make me choose it over T17 is the forum posting, but I'd go for the forum posting over the lack of MySQL and other stuff. Anyway, yeah forget 110mb.
  8. I have a lot of favorites, Chrono Trigger would have to be the best SNES RPG I've played, though I haven't played many. I personally think it's better than FF7, of course, I'm not exactly a fan of Final Fantasy either, the "Tales of" series is WAY better! Legend of Zelda: Link to the past was also awesome, best adventure game for the SNES I'd say.
  9. Look at it this way, a PS3 may be a lot more expensive than ANY game system to date, and it STILL isn't considered to be as good as the Wii or 360 by most people's standards, HOWEVER! It's actually cheaper than most Blu-ray players on the market, and Blu-ray is going to be the new standard over DVDs soon, so at some point you'll probably be needing a Blu-Ray player, right? Why spen EXTRA money for something that just plays Blu-Rays, when you can get a decent game console AND a Blu-Ray player for less? So looking at it like that, the PS3 ain't such a bad deal. Still like me Wii, and I wouldn't trade it in for a PS3, just thought I'd mention it anyway though.
  10. HAHAHA! I hope the site is a joke, there is SOOOOO much they've left out in their little theory, not to say it's completely impossible, but seriously, the chances... And they say the motive is probably money, okay fine, who's paying them? The guy who's paying everyone needs a motive too right? Ah, sorry, I didn't read much into it, mostly 'cause I don't think it's really worth reading into. I plan to work for NASA someday, so I'll probably find out at some point if it's true, but I'm 99.999999999 (And so on) % sure it's not.
  11. It is true, I didn't say the was no such thing, I only meant that I personally have never seen a site like that for myself. I'm sure there are others, but certainly not many, I've been through an awful lot of hosts, and none of them offer free domains.
  12. Wikipedia is generally fairly accurate, but because anyone can edit it, it's usually best too look at some other sites for more info on the subject before you write an essay or report on something, just to be safe.
  13. It's not a BAD idea exactly, but it DOES defeat the point of the system, still, 285 credits is pretty close to 365 anyway, and since 1 credit means 1 day of hosting, just post actively for a little longer and you have a year right there.
  14. I tried to play the Battlefield 2142 Demo, but my computer was so slow I could barely move, it was practically impossible for me to play, looked like a lot of fun though... Maybe if this one does come out on PC my computer will be able to handle it, looks even MORE resource intensive though, so probably not.
  15. I use Paint.NET! It's awesome! And it's free too! I've gotten really good with it, I like to make sigs and userbars with it, I also use it to sprite and make backgrounds for my games. (The Cloud render tool is VERY useful!) By far my favorite image editing software.
  16. Ah Red Alert, good times... I don't own the game, but a friend of mine had three copies of it and me him and his little brother would play together... He always won! I only won once, and there was controversy over whether I actually deserved to win the game, as it was mostly by fluke... Oh well! It was fun anyway! He goes" Next person to attack me gets my tanks in their base!" He blew up an Ore Truck and the guy inside threw a knife a his tank... Ouch...
  17. Wow! I like it, simple and clean, the colors are pleasing to the eye... Everything is so smooth! Well done! I've been doing HTML and other web related languages since I was ten, and I STILL can't do quite that good! Haha! Again, very nice!
  18. Thanks! It was a bit of a challenge, but I think it was well worth it. The remake will be just how the original WOULD have been, if I didn't make it within the limitations of the contest. The sequel will pick up from the end of the remake.
  19. Religion gives us hope for the future, without that hope death is a lot scarier. I'm a Christian, and yes, I don't wanna die tomorrow or anything, and I do worry about it from time to time, but not as much if I thought I would simply cease to exist after dieing. You have to admit, Atheist or Christian, if you don't think you'll ever die, there's little reason to worry about it, and thus improving the quality of the life you have on earth, right?
  20. Never tried Linux, I've heard it's good though. Personally, if I COULD choose, I'd go with XP, unfortunately I'm stuck with Vista for now. The main reason I'd pick XP, is that now with Vista, I can't install games I recently payed for that worked on my old computer, but after it was attacked by Malware I needed a new computer that came with Vista, those games don't work anymore, or at least some of them don't. Sadly, my parents payed for it so I could do school work on it, and they don't want me attempting to do a dual boot with it and potentially ruining it, so I have no other option.
  21. Dude, sell Legendia and Tempest, and get Tales of the Abyss instead! You have the two worst tales games in existence there! :lol:I have (In order of when we got them):Tales of SymphoniaTales of the AbyssTales of the World: Radiant MythologyI want Tales of Eternia so bad! But importing from Europe sounds like such a pain, since it sounds like you did it, how did it go?
  22. I have a PSP and I love it! I didn't get it when it first came out, as it was SUPER expensive, and there were only a handful of good games for it, but now there are plenty games for it, it price has dropped considerably, and it now comes preloaded with some pretty awesome features, like built in web browser, Skype, Internet Radio, and so on! I've even got it so I can save Youtube vids on it and watch 'em on the go, and the online play on it is great! It's like a PS2 in your pocket... I take that back, it's even better!Don't get me wrong, I'm tied between the PSP and the DS, they have their own individual strengths and weaknesses, but my favorite overall system would be the Wii. It's the only system with Brawl on it, which is an AWESOME game!
  23. I assume they'll get better with every release, FF3 is still in it's early stages, if I remember FF2 didn't have much new features until they got near the full releases either... I've personally never tried FF3, I guess I will at some point, but Im too lazy to do it tonight.
  24. Wow, that is bad, I've had some bad experiences with hosts before, but that's ridiculous! Personally, I've never asked for support on a host, I usually just leave and search for bigger and better things when a host is bad. Thankfully it looks like T17 is fast, and reliable seeing as I visited a long time ago and it's still up as fast as ever. I didn't join because of the forum posting, but I've been through SO many hosts I figured, "Eh, why not." Anyway, glad they're down, hopefully they STAY down I never did like the number 65, personally, I prefer the number 17.
  25. Ugh, runescape, it's so repetitive, at least in the free version, but I didn't like it enough to pay five bucks a month for the full one when there are better MMOs that are completely free. I've tried Sherwood Dungeon, I never really got into it though, it was kinda bland. There are TONS of free MMORPGs if you know where to look, but make sure you use Site Advisor to make sure they aren't loaded with viruses, because a few of them are!
