  1. I agree. I'd actually rather see a site on a subdomain than a co.cc. But I'd rather see somebody on a co.cc than a co.nr or a uni.cc. co.cc to me makes it look like you are trying to hide the fact that you don't have a domain, and are using something as close to a top level domain as you can get. I used to do that, but I just got a domain (and later another). No search engines will rank you high with a .co.nr or .co.cc site, and I've seen very few sites that have a pagerank with these "domains".I have seen quite a few sites that are on free forum hosts or even Xisto or Xisto that are ranked high in google.

  2. Yeah, this one's right. If I remember right Google themselves even said meta tags have nothing to do with your inclusion/where you rank in their system. They said it is content only. But I'm wondering if this is just something they're saying to throw people off...

I was talking about meta keywords. Meta description is still quite important, as mine shows up right in my Google result.
And for all you wondering, it doesn't matter very much if your site gets indexed in 3 hours or 3 days. It matters when they get shown in results.

  3. I still try to buy as much of my music as possible on physical CDs rather than as downloads. Digital players are great, but I still like to keep a physical copy of my music.

I do that a lot as well. Though a buunch of the bands I listen to haven't hit it big yet, so I'd have to order thier music online and have it shipped to me, I still like buying physical CDs. Over the years I've come across some rare and very rare CDs, which you can't really find online :D

  4. Upgrading isn't that expensive. You can upgrade to 5GB space and 50GB bandwidth for $1.98, which will make a month cost $4. It still isn't that much, and at your current posting rate, you'll be able to afford it.I'd doubt you'll need more than the logic plan for a while. I have a site that gets 80-100 unique visitors a day and about 4000 hits a day. I only use 500MB of space and 3GB of bandwidth per month.

  5. I still have my (now ancient) Walkman. iPods dominated the music market because it was a completely new way to listen to music and you don't have to worry about cassettes or CDs. You can walk around with the equlivelant of 1,000 CDs in your pocket. It helped to bring the MP3 to be popular, as MP3 is one of the few formats that can be played on an iPod.

  6. I like the newer Final Fantasy XII. While I like the older Final Fantasys as well, the new battle system and the 3D in it makes the game much more fun. I have almost managed to beat it, though I haven't played it in a while. A nice thing is since there is an auto attack system on it, you can auto level-thus I have 4 level 99 characters.I haven't tried VII, but I know there is much hype over that game and it sells for a lot of money. Has anybody here played it, and if you have, what is it like?
