  1. No offense, but you guys are still just schoolkids. I wouldn't really too much about a relationship. They're nice, but until high school's over they don't really mean much.If you like her, just try and be good friends with her. You'll definitely have the impulse to want to date her, but I wouldn't push that.If you become good/best friends with her now, a relationship later will be tons better. And even if you guys aren't dating later, it's still nice to have her close by.Hope that helps a little.

  2. But you would think Google would design a portal page like yahoo or msn to really connect everything together. I think the would be a smart thing to do going into 2007, they got pretty much everything except for chatrooms and online games. Sometimes I find it annoying that I have to click on several pages just to get somewhere instead of the one click method. that would be a interesting contest for google to hold, to see who can design a awesome portal page for them. I been using google more effectively when I doing my research for school because it is more or less accurate when I am looking for something. That's why I have gooten very good at using their search engine.

One of the reasons I don't like yahoo or msn are the portal pages. Too cluttered and cramped, there's so much going on in one page, and most of it I don't and won't need.
BUT if you want google as a portal, just use google homepage. You can add/remove/move/change a bunch of different module type things...it's almost like a google CMS.

  3. Google is the end all be all for search engines for me. It's much too powerful to ever go away [unless the entire internet were to crash or something] and it's just very reliable and versatile. There are SOOOO many hidden features and tools for google, and they have all those neat side applications [Gmail, Maps, Images, IG].Funny thing is though, I use firefox, and I have google homepage set as...my homepage... but I never actually search from there. I always use the search bar built into FF.I think at some point down the line Google will be a hub for pretty much anything you might want on the internet. And then they'll have just as much money as Gates. <3

  4. Yes, it's definitely an April Fool's joke. I wish it weren't though, there are some sweet things in my mailbox that I would love on paper. And that image thing would be perfect. o_OThey should release a real version of this, and maybe make it a paid service or something. I wouldn't mind 5-10 bucks a month or something like that for Gmail Paper...even if there's a limit on how much you can get per month or something.

  5. People don't seem to know that as soon as their hosting is approved they will start losing credits whereas if they are not yet using hosting they will not lose credits. So I like to take my time before I apply for hosting. So when I DO apply, I'll not only have enough credits to support my hosting for a longer period, but I'll also have contributed more to Xisto before leeching off them
So if spammers continue to desperately post in order to maintain their hosting, they'll lose it sooner or later, either through running out of credits or through getting banned.

Oh, and on a side note, how do you get to be part of the Spam Patrol?

Smart idea. If you gained say, one credit a day [not likely, just an example], if you went and applied as soon as you had 30 credits, you'd still have the same amount [well, less, actually, from the initial credits taken out for hosting] after a month, whereas if you wait an extra month before applying, you'll have 30 more credits than before, in the same amount of time. I never thought about it that way...that's smart. Now I wish I could do that. =/

About the Spam Patrol - Just find spam posts, copied material from other websites, offensive posts, etc etc, and use the report button to report it to all staff members. If we notice you're really good at finding and reporting spam, we'll consider you for SP. Or in some cases, moderatorship. <3

  6. trap17.com - Obviously. I've been spending more and more time here lately because I have tons of free time at work and all I do is work on a computer...plus hopefully I can reach 280 credits and get my domain transferred [1&1 is a horrible horrible domain company...don't ever go with them. They're cheap, but they like to lock your account even after you've paid for your domain for a year. T.T]

myspace.com - https://myspace.com/browser, it's how I get in touch with literally all of my friends...I keep deleting them though...I'm a jerk like that.

gmail.com - Obvious here too...guy's gotta check his email, ya know? And I like randomly emailing people when I'm bored at work. <3

craigslist.org - Most of my job requirements involves posting ads on craigslist [yes, I'm paid to spam craigslist. I get 10 bucks an hour for 48 hours a week, so I'm willing to look the other way on our shady internet advertising. Sue me.] Find 1Stop Mattress in the furniture sections. I also like to check CL every now and then just to see what kind of deals there are... lately I've been looking for a camera [digital photography], car [i want a cheap but stable one], computer [also cheap but good quality], a new ipod [shuffle blows]...that kinda thing.

mininova.org - Yes, I'm also a movie/tv/music/game pirate. Sorry, but I don't have money, and I'd die without entertainment. Mostly I download TV shows...lately I've been watching 24...I love that show.

bndclan.net - My CS clan's site...it's kinda worthless as far as actual content, but eh...gotta keep up with clan news and such.

  7. The spam patrol thing might cause conflict with actual moderators though, because we'd have to figure out if moderators get the same benefits, if they don't then members would rather be spam patrol than an actual moderator, and if they do it would have to be clear when and how the benefits are applied and so on and so forth.I dunno...I can't think straight right now...8 hours at this computer has completely fried my brain.

  8. Ugh, don't even talk to me about college. I failed one class in high school, didn't get my diploma on time, couldn't go to the college I want, now I've been out of school for a year because I just feel miserable about the whole thing.Right now I'm working so I can get things all settled out...it'll be a while though.

  9. I'll be paying for hosting soon, [gonna switch to Xisto - Web Hosting], but I definitely know what you mean. Some days it's just impossible to think of something to post, and other days you just can't post more than a one or two-liner. It sucks, you just have to work with it I guess.Try to find something you're interested in, and either find or start topics about it [starting is better, you can talk about exactly what you want, and I think you get a bonus as far as credits go.]

  10. I'm not sure if this is a good idea. No offense, but the graphics crew currently isn't doing anything whatsoever. Most of them don't even post sigs anymore.Maybe spam patrol, but I'm not sure. But you're right as far as the second part goes, this would be a good incentive for people to get to work. Normal members would be inspired to do graphics, or do more to stop spam, if they knew it would benefit them as well.Shoot, I know I'd be doing a lot more sigs if it got me ANY credits, let alone more than normal posting.I'd like to see what BH or Opa think of this.

  11. Suicide is a long term solution to a short term problem. Usually.

That's the mindset that got me past my most recent [a week ago] suicidal thoughts. It came close this time too...I was off looking up ways to do it without much pain/effort...
It's a nasty thing once it consumes your mind.

  12. I'm at work right now, which has a much much better computer, but my own computer at home has these:

Pentium 2 (350~ MhZ)384MB RAM (Which I think is failing)
    CD-ROM
    CD-RW
    Some 32mb graphics card
    Some worthless halfdead sound card
    Screwed up power supply

Someone send me a better computer. I'll pay for shipping and love you forever. I'll even give you moderation immunity and all my hosting credits. I'm serious.

  13. I personally use gmail, and will most likely stick with gmail. 30gigs sounds nice, but it really is overkill for most people. I could understand if you were a person who receives a lot of attachments in your email [for work, most likely] and needed the space, but as it stands I have 3100 emails in my gmail account, and that only adds up to 55mb [1%]. So if you want to use all 30gigs, you'd have to be getting a LOT of BIG files in the mail, or using it for storage somehow.BUT if you don't have an email address already, or you're looking for a new one, it couldn't hurt. I just won't be using it because I'm ridiculously used to typing @gmail, and @30gigs is weird because it has numbers.Whatever, I'm picky.
