I tried a few scripts to install a localhost on my machine and found most to be confuseing for a begginer ( ME ) and then i found Apache2triad , its an application that will install everything you need to get a website up and running on your computer (php, mysql, apache server, phpmyadmin)without it being on the internet. The reason for doing this is so you can test out different functions and scripts with your site without having to chance messing up the site you have published online. It is very easy to install and works quite well. Another you could try is easyphp , but it was written in itallian or somehting and I could understand it.

Yeah but i have phpBB for my forum and I cant access it when it is down, it is really annoying. Anyway hope you get this bug sorted

I thought easyphp was an application to install a local host? (php, mysql, apache). I use Crimson Editor, it seems to work quite well and is FREE, if its free its me!

Well. I still have to wait.My request has been fallen way back to page 2 because of the massive load of requests. I have such an idea none of the admins have ever saw mine.

I play ALOT of Delta Force Task Force Dagger, its a couple years old now but I still love it. I have a squad that im working on , DeathBringers, my site is located at http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ . I also play Call of Duty, which I hope to be adding to the dbsquad soon. I play Battlefield 1942 and Civilization 3 also.

Hiall, I know there are many web portals available and was just curious as to what everyones favorite is. I have used Nuke but found it to be too difficult to operate (maybe im just dumb). Then I switched to phpclanwebsite ( http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ ) and I found it to be very nice and easy to use. and especially nice fr gameing squads/clans. I built a website for a church useing the OC portal, cant remember its url, but it was very similar to Nuke, not very easy to use, VERY EASY to install though. Now I am building a graphics website/community and am useing Land Down Under script (http://www.neocrome.com/ ) it is VERY nice, easily skinable, MANY MANY plugins available for it, easy to use, and works very well for just about any kinda website you want to build. But, different strokes for different folkes ya know, so I was just wondering what you all prefer? ~ added the 'none' option ~ Infraid I added the option other because there are so may portals..... abcde I didn't add anything, just editting this post - whizz ~ made never-ending poll. Get rid of that, or define it in the database, and it's problem solved.

It's probably just still getting configured. In the meantime use PostgreSQL (If it stays up, I'm not sure).

Just a question for opera users, does opera support the xmlhttprequest object yet? If anybody is using it with gmail, and it's working, then post because that means it does.
