  5. "IF and when ALIEN, extraterrestrial INTELLIGENT life makes contact with us, or vice versa, the said extraterrestrial intelligence will be a mixed community of atheists and theists or deists. They will NOT be in possession of knowledge or proof of either the definite existence or non-existence of a god or creative supernatural force. Some of the intelligent beings will exhibit FAITH without proof. That is the wager. It is based on my firm contention that memetic transmission of faith and religion is literally inevitable within any community of intelligent beings. I do not have any other predictions to make about the nature of alien civilization. They could be silicon based octopoids with IQs in the 2 and a half billion range but some of them will believe in the bogeyman. I am certain that any intelligent species can only exist as a direct or indirect result of evolution. They must have either evolved or been made by entities that evolved. Given that basic premise I also think that it is inevitable that memetic evolution will have occurred. Ideas will have spread because communication is inevitable within an intelligent species. Ideas will spread because the vectors for those ideas feel reasons to spread them. Religion is inevitable once a base level of communication skills and intelligence has been achieved. The memetic adaptations required to keep an idea going within a particular community will arise. If the community has an IQ of 80 then a simple religion will emerge with simple memetic hooks, simple rewards and simple defences against contrary ideas. If the community has an IQ of 180 then the brighter minds will be able to come up with better ideas, more fiendishly complicated religions with more cunning reasons to believe in them. Ideas like the afterlife, religious tolerance, freedom of expression, faith. " More on the wager: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/
  6. Thats pretty nice. When i first loaded the page it took a while for it to load all the pics in mozilla so it looked really wierd... If the site wasnt about amber, then i would say that the color scheme doesnt look good. Is it me or does that server take a long *bottom* time.... Pretty good.
  7. I use dot tk to. They seem to get the job done pretty well... I just hope that they get the statistics backup on there site. ok back to the post.... Every thing looks good, nice gui. It's not to hard to install nuke, is it? It kinda seems that you are cramming alot of info into one space. and on the links section that is right below the first login box should be removed. Only because you have those same links right below it. You also should re-organize the links. It just seems that are to many on the page. If a new user is coming to ur site off of a search engine etc they want to get to the information as fast as they can.But it is pretty good for a first site.
  8. i had thought about adding some images but alot of my friends have dial up and surf my site via cell phone so i decided to make it just text.
  9. I think some of my comments were misread. I know that there have to be guidelines, but what some people are asking for is black and white what is allowed and what is not. Information is difficult to say yes that is allowed and no that isn't. I am just saying that there is no possible way for FNH to say specifically yes you can post this no you cannot post that. Plus it seems as if there are hundreds of users and I feel that the job of admin is to keep an eye on it the best they can. This is where FNH members need to step up and help them out by monitoring ourselves. We know what is ethical and what isn't and if one wouldn't I would recommend they brush up on the code of ethics and the laws of pertinent countries with whom we fall under.Take care and I hope this makes more sense than what I posted earlier on.
  10. 26k dialup. I get max 3kb a sec download speed. Hopfully ill be getting 3mbps Comcast cable soon.

The best thing to do is to request permission from the copyright holder company. They might appreciate a link from you. (but maybe they'll send the dogs instead  )

  17. bad typing... I don't get fully what u intend to say...Whenever your money amounts to 100$ not necessarily at the end of a year, you will be paid. I could be in a month too. Every month on a particular date they check if the money accumulated is amounting to 100$ or not ....
  18. Flies grow drowsy and drunk in Tanzanian sun, bumble against the mesh-screened window, burst with the promise of blood. Beside the sill, a small boy kneels on the floor of red tiles polished once a week by the silent houseboy; a scent of wax lingers like an eternal reprimand in the air. With a pin pinched between thumb and finger, the child contemplates the flies, discerns which is the fattest or biggest or most lazy. His left hand holds the chosen one in place and his right hand guides the pin into its body. Time holds its breath while the insect's thin hard encasing is being penetrated, then exhales in relief as the silver sliver eases into inner softness. The wings of the fly beat and buzz as red liquid drools upon the window ledge, glues its body there. With one finger, the boy paints lines and shapes upon his blank anonymous arm. He can draw numbers, letters of the alphabet, or more elusive symbols. Recently, he has learned to spell his name. ... Full story: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/
