I was wondering could you increase the avatar size too 10kb because trying to fit a file too 6kb i fairley hard. Unless there is a way to decrese file size and keep good quality

I am looking for a script in php. The script i need is for a contest thing. I need it to check for the person to see if he is logged in. Then They can upload an image a certain size. And it is put in a folder for me to check. Any kind of script with that stuff.
