I have used javascript on my WebHost to give information about certain things, eg What is bandwidth. What i have experienced is an incompatibility between certain browsers, which I must get onto fix. I never use forced popups or alerts as they annoy viewers and bring less traffic to your site. For my particular usuage of javascript I had a popup information box with detailing information (which pops up in the same posistion upon click of a link). The popup takes the content of a full html page still minimised to the extent that all infromation fo the page can be seen to give a nice effect.

To find it in your cpanel goweb/ftp stats ->AwStatsThe extremely interesting stats are collected around every 6 hours.If you still want to use an external site the try onestat.com.

For $450 US were payed extremely paid well considering the basic technicallity and design you used for that site.Not that I am a designer but in my region (NZ) you would probably only pay $50 US for a site of that design and technicallity. You had an extremely good start to your web designing courier

Intel Pentium 4 is the most stable of the two, Intel processors include heat control which AMD processors skip to create cheaper processors. AMD I guess is a good solution if you do not use your computer obsessively and don't mind the loud noises from time to time. But I would always go for INTEL processors as I believe they are more stable and economic, but unfortunately expensive.

Yes it is true that you can't create file names beggining with"." which is why you should create a file on your windows system like 1.htaccess then upload it via ftp or file manager. Then rename it on your non-windows server to .htaccess using your ftp manager or file manager (in cpanel).Since the majority of servers are mostly linux/Unix (because they are cheaper) you probably won't have any problems.Xisto does allow mod_rewrite as we have apache installed.
