I am running the 2.6.32.34-generic kernel. That is important. If a kernel update occurs the wacom.Ko module has to be recompiled for that kernel to restore functionality. It is not hard to do. After you use Ark (from Dolphin) to extract the source, preserving folders, do the following steps in a Konsole (also from Dolphin, if you wish): cd linuxwacom-0.8.8 the version number may be different, as may be the path. make clean # In case of a kernel update since the last compile ./configure --enable-wacom cd src/2.6.30/ # Wrong kernel version, but it's the highest available and it works fine make sudo cp wacom.Ko /lib/modules/`uname -r`/kernel/drivers/input/tablet/ # those "`" are back ticks, on the Tilde key. sudo rmmod wacom sudo modprobe wacom sudo depmod -a #to make it permanent for subsequent boots. That's it! Make sure you have xserver-xorg-input-wacom installed. You could cut & paste it all in a text file residing inside the linuxwacom-0-x-y directory. Replace "cd linuxwacom-0-8.8" with "#!/bin/bash" as the first line, save it as compile_wacom.Sh, and use the Right Mouse --> Properties on it to mark it executable. Then, if you have a kernel update, just open a Konsole, cd into that directory and run "./compile_wacom.Sh". Without the quotes, of course. The Lucid Lynx repository has "MyPaint" (Universe repository), which works very well with the tablet and includes textures and other features. The Pen works well in GIMP-2.6.8, too. There is also a "wacom-utility" (http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/) which allows adjustments for pen pressure, and the four buttons, if your tablet has them. Both the Pen and the mouse work to control the cursor when the tablet is plugged in. The buttons on the side of the Pen work well. I also have a hp pavillion and well I have only had mine for about 8 months they sent me 2 new chargers, but with in a week one stopped working... I went on to the second charger and that only lasted 2 weeks... I put the first one back in and it started working again :S I'm guessing it's heat related because I have noticed my charger get's incredibly hot... Not too sure if this will completely fix your problem. I had the same problem before. I always change headphones, and it seems the jack socket got loose. What I did was, removed the earphone jack for a day. The socket just naturally got back to its natural shape. But, more often, if you banged the jack socket bad, and it got out of shape, it may not naturally get to its former shape. 8th grade year has finally begun,but not exactly how I planned. I'm going to school with people I've known for centuries.I've never been close to anyone aside from my best friend, mostly because I didnt want to get caught up in their stupid drama. I'm not going to say I'm different, like I was put on mother earth solely to be different and amazingly, wonderful and misunderstood. It's simple: I'm more mature and emotionally developed than nearly all the other kids. That's another reason why I've been so distant-I cant relate to them. But over the summer I've been doing alot of soul-searching, and one of the many things I realized is that I'm going to be stuck with all of them until we graduate, drop out, or somebody drops dead. Thus, I want to make the best of my situation. My friend is extremely popular and at this point, things are getting pretty damn lonely. At lunch if I'm not alone I'm sitting with people I dont know or dont like, and that is not something I want to experience everyday for a good portion of my dwindling teenage lifespan. For the love of the Lord, I stood in a nasty bathroom for nearly 10 minutes waiting for the bell to ring. And these classes of mine are so boring I actually fell asleep. All I'm saying is that I really do want things to change. I want to know what it's like to be around people who acknoweldge me and like me. I know I brought this upon myself, and that's why I refuse to run away. But, what the hell am I suppossed to do? I suck at socializing, and every time i gather that good old courage to talk to someone it doesnt turn out how I'd want. Maybe it's nerves, or the fact that I've spent so much time by myself that I'm doomed to live the rest of eternity like that; but if there's a way to change this then I want to. I'm funny, and as pragmatic as I may be, I am a kind person. If I could just show them how I really am I might have more of a chance at making friends. It's just so difficult damnit! I am trying to create a brood wars map to be played:1) in SINGLE PLAYER mode (brood wars expansion).2) Play Custom3) Use Map Settings (remember this is single player UMS).4) star edit build Mar 7 2006Before I say anything else, PLEASE do not tell me to use multiplayer mode. I am not interested. I am SPECIFICALLY trying to create a single player mode map.In star edit I have set up 1) two players, both human. I have set one to computer (blue) and put it in a seperate force.2) I have created starting locations for both players, command center for both players, and one svc per player.3) I have set up a large location around player 2's start location. (Location 0)3) I have kept the three default triggers (50 starting ore and two to end the game)If I save and play the game without doing anything else, the computer component does nothing. Its SVC sits there and will not even gather resources.My first question is why? Why will that svc not gather resources?Finally, I went back into star edit and set up a new trigger under ALWAYS for player 2 with the following: -Execute AI script 'Expansion Terran Campaign Area Town' at 'Location 0' -Execute AI script 'Expansion Terran Campaign Difficult' at 'Location 0'In this case, the computer player will gather resouces, but it will not create any more units or build its town. Essentially, I am not successful in creating a map to play in single player UMS.Can anyone help me? Please include comments for any changes recommended (ie, why the change was needed).Please do not assume I have done anything else. I have tried to be very diligent in specifying what I have done in star edit.

Grab of copy of Notepad++ and play with the string and regular expression (just CTRL + H to get the dialog) replace tools and you'll see - then tell me what tool copies that functionality in Linux. It's great for stripping formatting from text or reformatting. I just haven't found the duplicate in Linux yet, I know it's there so if someone could post it here that would be great! If you made two objects, and gave one a Mass of 1 and the other a Mass of 4, the object with the Mass of 4 would drop quicker. Elasticity is the same thing. It basically operates on a hit or get hit basis. Elasticity of say 0-.50 are good rocks. Let's say we have two Models: a table and a CD. CD has an elasticity of 1.6i-sh, and the table is rocking a .3. This gives a pretty realistic bounce. However, if you raise the elasticity of the table to 1.6, you'll get a cd which will keep bouncing until it bounces off the table. Give the CD an elasticity of 3 or more, and you can launch it pretty far. Friction should be easy to figure out. O is grit. 3+ is slippery.

i just got a new laptop a month ago as a wedding gift as well as a new puppy. a month later my puppy is a little bigger he managed to jump up to my seat and pushed my tea over all onto my laptop. i did everything ur suppose to do to keep it from a melt down. and its doing fine. only problem is these damn sticky keys....is there a way to get stickyness off without breaking my keys.my laptop is a hp compaq.can anyone please help me?
