  1. Hi,Im looking for a mouse-over script that doesnt require you to make 2 seperate images, as that would take time if one has a lot of pics.. But i've found a good script that makes links blur or pixelate, as a internet effect using the style.css. But its not wat im after, im looking for a mouse-over script like the blur effect but only on image links, not text links. Are there any out there...Thnx.
  2. we've hit 3316 users! yep thats a huge number!
  3. Do you mean Half-Life 2: Deathmatch ?I think in that case you are right. But there will be a new update in a week or something , then you will have the crowbar and the stun stick in multiplayer And probably a few new maps. Killbox is a nice map ! (I think its a custom)
  4. Yeah, that's something my brother told me too.Firefox is safer than IE.But he is using IE again :? because he didn't like the fact that some sites look bad on firefox and they look good on IE.
  5. I haven't played it either.Where and how can you play it ? :?
  6. Just need to request here @ FNH!
  7. Hi!Welcome to FNH I hope that you will find the information you looking for & please be active in the forum
  8. Artificial intelligence. In a game, if you play, for instance, multiplayer against bots in WarCraft, that's AI. Humans are a lot tougher than any AI I've seen. Playing online is the best way to prepare for any single player game.
  9. I'm pretty sure Sony only sells its HD with Final Fantasy XI. If they had any sense they'd sell it separately.
  10. There isn't a single major OS that doesn't have a built in firewall . In fact I believe windows was the last one to adopt it. All the browsers that come on OS X and Linux (Safari, Konqueror, Mozilla, etc) all have built-in pop-up blockers. Guess who was last to add that feature to their browser? You guessed it, Microsoft. You now I just looove microsoft's hardware detection I plug a flash drive or my iPod in and it says, "New hardware pluged in do you want to install drivers?" No I do not want to install the drivers again. When I plug on of those into my Macintosh there isn't any fanfare no annoying little messages telling me "Oh my god you just plugged in a USB device we at Microsoft are so proud of you", a little icon just comes up in the Finder and I access it like any other drive. Lastly I am not using DOS to do anything. In fact the GUI for Microsoft is one of the worst (and by extension that includes Linux's since KDE and GNOME seem to closely resemble Windows). Aqua on Macintosh is far far better than microsoft's. It is simple, no useless clutter and things you don't need. The Dock is so much better than a taskbar. No hiding things when there are too many programs for the taskbar to keep track of. And a lot less desktop clutter, as I can keep almost all the programs I need quick access to right at the bottom of my screen. example. And then Exposè the windows manager is absolutely awesome. Hitting F9 arranges all my open windows in little thumbnail screen shots so I can bring to the front without minimizing (something Microsoft claim's they'll do in Longhorn with their 3D GUI, that will use a lot more resources than Exposè does). F10 does the same for an active program. And F11 hides all the windows so I can quickly get to my desktop. Expose in Action That was a lot longer than I intended it to be, but now you get the picture about why microsoft sucks after you use anything else. I can't believe you would rather have a built-in firewall than a professionally made one. I love Norton Anti-Virus and have used it long before XP Serivce Pack 2 or even before I got Windows XP. I can't really comment on that whole iPod thing since I don't own one, but I can talk about the other stuff. You're mistaken about the taskbar. If you actually bothered to check, you'd see that you can keep the taskbar from hiding anything. Your desktop comment is not thought out very well. What is the desktop for? Launching programs and opening files. It's only cluttered if you make it that way. And the dock. Yes, a dock is very nice if you like things like that. (I don't.) But Stardock also makes a very nice free dock (and a buyable one as well). Not to mention the XP taskbar has a feature called Quick Launch. I'm sure you've heard of it. If you haven't, it basically puts shortcuts to anything in your taskbar. Not to mention the XP taskbar has a Desktop toolbar which lets you access any program/file on your desktop. Quick Launch has a button called 'Show Desktop,' and does just that. Right-clicking on the taskbar lets you casecade your open windows, or tile them vertically or horizontally.
  11. Yes you can do it. Is it a phpbb forum? Check places like http://www.phpbbhacks.com/ or https://www.phpbb.com/ should have a mod of some sort do it otherwise, if you'll bear with me will I check, it should be simple to write something. EDIT: Back, okay if this page isn't a phpBB page and you just want to sort by name use a script like this <?php//connect to database$db_name = "";$table_name = "";$connection = @mysql_connect("localhost", "", "") or die(mysql_error());$db = @mysql_select_db($db_name, $connection) or die(mysql_error());//sql query$sql = "SELECT * FROM $table_name ORDER BY title DESC";$result = @mysql_query($sql, $connection) or die (mysql_error());while ($row = mysql_fetch_arry($result)) {//$id = $id['id'];//$year = $row['year'];//$event = stripslashes($row['event']);//you replace these vars with the ones you want to use$display_block .= "<p><strong>$year</stong><br />$event</p>";}?><html><head><title>Reviews</title></head><body><h1>Reviews</h1><br /><?php echo "$display_block"; ?><br /><br /><p><a href="index.htm">Search Again</a></p></body></html> if it is a phpbb page I have a hack for it too
  12. Smultron, o' course you probably don't have a mac....
  13. I have a couple products not mentioned here: - A-squared. Scans for trojans and spyware. It takes a while to scan your comp if you have a lot of files, but it's not bad. There are two versions: a free one and a paid one-- https://www.emsisoft.com/en/ - BHODemon. Sometimes we all have to use IE sooner or later, and this little program will scan your Browser Helper Objects in nanoseconds and let you remove them. NOTE: Not all BHOs are bad-- http://www.definitivesolutions.com/bhodemon.htm

    Photoshop

I love Photoshop. It's not only good for CG -- it's the ultimate post-processor. If you render fractals like me, you know that post-processing is what makes an image. However, I have no idea how to make a website with it. Could anyone post a tutorial?
  15. good reviews in http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/
  16. It depends on what you are doing. For basic stuff, word processing and internet on an Older OS (MacOS 9 and lower, Windows 2000 and lower) 128 is probably enough, if you are running OS X or XP you will probably need 256 to cover. Then if you do any sort of gaming/graphical work/sound editing you will definitely want more. About 512 for gaming, photoshop, or basic sound, and more and more as you use more complex things.
  17. I think AdAware is the best, I heard about Microsoft's Antispyware as really good.
  18. In my opinion the best is Norton Antivirus 2005.
  19. I use Mozilla FireFox1 the bestone! Secure, fast, reliable!.
  20. No, I prefer Dreamweaver MX 2004 because It has more options and features.
  21. well if your looking for software that makes the thumbs for you and set up a gallery you can post on your website then I got to say thumbsplus is a good one.... but me being a designer I always gotta mess with the coding a bit tweek it to my liking instead of going with there standard formats.... but for most people out there its a fairly good product.
