Making money online is a tricky business. It’s not about building a Website and throwing a couple of banner ads around as many new-comers seem to believe. There’s a lot to learn in order to build an Internet business that actually *works.* But the problem has always been that there is a gigantic amount of useless information floating around, a truckload of self-proclaimed ”Experts,” but very few bits of useful directions that can put your feet on firm ground, without costing you too much money, time, or effort. Whenever someone asked me what the best source for such useful, doable information was, I always had one answer: ”Make Your Site Sell! 2002,” a book that has single-handedly helped me build several successful Internet businesses, and provided me with a wealth of absolutely indispensable information... information I never found even in $200 books and courses. And the great thing about Make Your Site Sell! 2002 was that it cost only $29.5! Unfortunately, I found out that, even though MYSS!2002 was truly worth more than $300 according to an anonymous survey conducted about it, a lot of people weren’t ready to pay $29.5 for it. So for those people, and for everyone else, here’s the $300-worth news... The ultimate guide for making money online, MYSS!2002, is now available as a FREE download! Yes, now you can learn EVERYTHING there is to learn about how to build a successful, profitable business on the Internet without having to spend a dime. I promise you, this is the deal of the decade for anyone interested in making money on the Internet. For more than 6 years, since the first edition of Make Your Site Sell was out, I’ve been thankful for every dollar I spent on it. And now, you can have it all for free. If you’re serious about making money online by building a successful, profitable Internet business using a doable, step-by-step approach, then now is the time to download your free copy of MYSS!2002. Simply go to... http://www.sitesell.com/ I hope you enjoy this amazing book, and learn as much from it as I did. But more importantly, put it to good use, and build yourself a successful Internet business. After reading this book, you’ll know that making money online is not the Mission: Impossible we had to experience for so long. Download MYSS!2002 now at: http://www.sitesell.com/ Here’s to your success

Even though I don't actually think it's my favourite, I have to say that Mozilla FireFox is the only browser I use nowadays, aside from the occasionall Windows Update that I run on Internet Explorer. Yes, I found Opera doing a much better job in rendering certain Websites than the job FireFox did, but those Websites are rare and far between. And Opera really needs some work regarding its i18n support. So if I had to choose a favourite, I'll say it's FireFox .

Hi Please review my new website: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ or http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ What the site about: Discuss on many topics about computer, webhosting, programming, webdesign,...... Any feedbacks please post them here Thank all

I would like nothing better than to be able to upgrade the Browser I have, but, unfortunately, the hardware and OS9.1 won't run anything newer. I am using an iMac OS9.1 when I am on the Internet because I simply had too many headaches and malware attacks when I use my windows laptop. Not from Xisto or the trap, but other places. So, it might just be this antique machine/browser combination??? Doesn't surprise me at aall

vujsa, Nice site. I plan on stealing gleaning a lot of good information from over there. There is no doubt that it will be successful for you. Any problems if I include a link on my pages? Only thing I noticed was a 'jump' of the page below the horiz menu under the header when on-hover happens. When I load/re-load the page and then hover on the horizontal menu, the image change shifts the contents beow the menu bar. (NS7 OS9.1)(antique) As for tutorials, will you be linking to your tut's here at Xisto? or copying them to the new site? I'll be back regularly. Good Luck with it.

Honestly, I've come to find that this sort of questions is usually very unproductive and even rather misleading. Everyone has his/her own needs and wants when it comes to security. What are yours? What's the system you use? Do you access the Internet through a dial-up or a broadband connection? How much can you afford to spend on security? Without well thoughtout and organized answers to those questions, it'd be all but impossible for anyone to give you a satisfying answer . Cheers.

Well, theoretically, this model works. But if you look at it from a practical perspective, it lacks one of the most important features -- no, benefits -- of affiliate programs... passivity! Almost all affiliate programs are designed in a way that lets you focus on convincing potential customers to perform the action most wanted by the affiliate program owner, e.g. a sale/a lead/ a subscription, etc. As soon as you refer those potential customers, you don't have to do any more work... well, at least you don't have to bother with technical or financial details. So if we try to apply the model you proposed, we will lose this feature/benefit. Not only that, but we'll also be burdened with another very consuming task: taking care of our auctions. And trust me, if you've played the auction game for a while, you'll know it's no piece of cake . There are other factors that could be discussed here, but all in all, my opinion would be to ditch this idea. The time and effort wasted into it can be more productively used in other areas, e.g. increasing affiliate traffic, starting an auction business altogether, learning how to parachute, and a myriad of other things . But still, thank you for introducing the idea. If nothing else, I enjoyed thinking about it. And hopefully, someone will have a contradictory point of view and we'll have a good discussion going on . Cheers.

I believe that, so long as you have two separate installations of any Windows operating system, one system cannot recognize or pick up any piece of software that's available on the other system. That's how it's been so far with me in all previous versions of Windows, and I've heard nothing to indicate that Vista is any different in that regard. But then again, I'll admit I haven't paid Vista its due attention; perhaps I missed something here or there .

Try phorum.org. It is used as a forum by Larry Ullman, an author of php and mysql books, so I suspect that it is rather secure. Also, this was posted on the phorum site Main page, which leads me to think it just might be secure:

Patience is a virtue.Google on GeoHtml and have a look at the demo.
-
Silly suggestion, maybe, but add an index.html. Maybe even an index.php with a re-direct to the 403 page?

"PHP and MYSQL for Dynamic Websites, Second Edition" by Larry Ullman. There are lots of good scripts in there and a site on the Net to download samples from.Additionally, the author has a Forum which is used to answer your questions and assist with problems.

Can't Able To Access "frequently Asked Questions" Area
iGuest replied to niran's topic in Web Hosting Support
It seems to be a simple bug has crept into the FAQs page and it will affect everyone. Unfortunately I don't have that much authority to go in a fix this, so it will have to be left to someone with higher access.I wonder how long this problem has been around for though, am actually glad it's been pointed out, but if this error existed for a long time, not many people have read the FAQs then, maybe I'll ask to see the last modified time of this file, just to understand the length of time this problem existed and why not many of our members have read it since.Cheers,MC -
The book that helped me a lot in learning from the basics to the Advanced level PHP Programming is entitled 'Beginning PHP4' by WROX Press Ltd. You can visit their website at http://www.wrox.com/WileyCDA/. Also you should look at the PHP.net for online documentation. Hope this helps.

What Browser did you use in the Cybercafe and what Browser are you trying to look at the files with at home? Internet Explorer uses the alt= tag to display some on-hover information whereas FF and Opera use the title= information on-hover. Would this be the case? Also, IE on-hover only works for anchor tags (without javascript), so is the missing on-hover an anchor tag?.

lol ... Well, I know for sure that I never said my explanation was correct and that somone else's is wrong. I try to be VERY careful about these matters, since I know that neither my study nor my knowledge qualify me to make such judgements . But occasionally, I have a certain point of view that I like to share with others, and hope it'll add something to what the others have to say, not replace it. I actually learnt quite a lot reading this topic. As for war, lol, I don't see that happening any time soon . And of course, everyone who mentioned the importance of definitions in these kinds of situations are very right. I'm a definition-freak actually, and so I have to agree with you guys .

Nope, I've never run into this problem before . I actually never saw any command-line screens come up during the installation at any point. Who knows, perhaps it's been opened and closed too fast for me to see, but I believe this can't be since my older computer would've never been able to pull a stunt like that . Anyway, sorry you had to face this problem. I personally don't have any trouble with Shareaza, except for the fact that it requires a lot of configuring after installation (e.g. opening ports, optimizing speed, applying my own filters, etc.). Actually, most users wouldn't have to bother with any of that, but advanced users will have some time to optimize this piece of software to their own tastes . Cheers.

Hosting Help Pre-installed Scripts Downloading Joomla
iGuest replied to Mafamba Team's topic in Web Hosting Support
File structure looks okay. Was there any error number on that? Are these errors showing up when you attempt an install via the fantastico? or have you downloaded another version of Joomla? Was the joomla folder previously created? or was it full of left-over stuff?*edit*Just installed the latest version 1.0.11 on my account at the Xisto in about one and a half minutes. No problems. (received a notice that the server has register globals - on rather than off, but that is a server setting we can't change)I don't see what the problem might be. There shouldn't be any difference in the Trap or Xisto accounts or Server settings. I am certain we are on the same server and most likely have the same version of fantastico. -
Check out this link: https://www.google.co.uk/webhp?hl=en&gws_rd=ssl= Along with the site title and description of the site listed at #1 position, you will find links to pages from that site like : 1. Contact us 2. Latest news 3. Sitemap 4. Job alerts More results from http://www.badenochandclark.com/ I've seen this couple of other occassions as well in which listings include such details. So the crawler is now more specific at its task.
