  1. If it helps Cancer Research, I'm all for it. But alas, my computer is too slow and useless to have such programs on it. Maybe when I get a new one.
  2. Ehh, I switch between Windows Media Player, WinAMP and RealPlayer. I think they each have good features of their own. RealPlayer is the best for streaming audio like online radio stations. Windows Media Player is the best for viewing video. WinAMP is good for just listening to songs, and for playlists. Al three are handy for burning, but I think RealPlayer is best for ripping, and maybe burning, too. It's fast. So I like all three.
  3. I'm listening to "Talk" from Coldplay's new album "X&Y". I love it. I love the whole album. Coldplay is my favourite English band.
  4. Unfortunately, I don't think complete peace is possible. But maybe the world is going uphill. For now, anyways. Yes, there are still countries having problems, like Sudan. But at least there hasn't been a WWIII yet. Though there are just too many crazy fools who will keep causing violence when total peace is attempted. In any country. Even countries like Canada, where they have good ratings for being peaceful, murders happen. And as long as there are murders, there can't be complete peace. But the level of peace can increase. Murders can decline. Especially mass murders, masacres, wars, etc. But I think each country in the world is always going to have its own levels of peace, and their peace levels will fluxuate at different times. One day Iran might become the most peaceful country in the world, as Canada goes to Hell. And all the Iranians who fled their country to Canada years ago will be fleeing back. You never know, anything is possible. I travel to North America a lot, and I see the youth generations getting more and more violent over there. If those violent youth don't get some sense knocked into them, they'll grow up and run for government, get voted in my their violent friends, and cause absolute havoc in their country. I dread the day I will have to see teenagers my age ruling countries, taking over the place for their predecesors. It could get ugly. But I think, in recent years, things have definitely improved. Maybe just a small amount of good can come out of occassional violence. Who knows? No one ever will.
  5. I don't really do any "organised" extracurricular activities But I do enjoy football (soccer), tennis, mountain biking, roller blading, etc... I also enjoy art of different kinds. Next year I'll probably join a few school activities, like the school footie team.
  6. A 70 million dollar flat is rediculous. Flats are supposed to be cheap. But I'm thinking, if the flat has sixteen rooms, it's not a bloody flat anymore! It's more like a mega penthouse! Or just... A house! A mansion! A mansion flat, there we go! But who, in their right mind, is going to pay 70 million dollars for a flat, anyways? Even if it does have sixteen rooms... ?
  7. Usually, when I'm bored at the computer and find myself just staring at the screen... I leave. Get out and get some fresh air, then come back to the computer later. Seriously. If I've nothing left to do on the computer, no reason to be using it, I just don't sit in front of it anymore. That's how I solve computer boredom. I go out and play some sports, go places, etc.
  8. If I could be anything... Hmm... That's a tough one, actually... Never seen a question like this before! But if I could be anything... I think I would be... A mutant, like from X-Men! Or just a super-human, you know, with special powers! That would be so awesome, I've wanted super powers ever since I was like... Five years old! So yes, I would want to be super-human!
  9. I'm young, yet, so I've only had one speaker system that I know anything about, the one I have right now. It's a Monsoon system that my dad bought quite a while ago. I think it's pretty darn good. It's got two speakers and this box-thing. This proves I know nothing about sound systems. But it's cool, on the box thing, if you turn up the bass all the way and make the volume loud, air pumps out of the box to the beat of the music. Maybe all speakers do that...
  10. I love tennis! I like to both play it and follow the professional tournaments. Marat Saffin for Russia is an awesome player, so is Andy Roddick for America.I tried out for the tennis team at my school, but alas, I didn't make it. But I still go to practise very often at the park by my house. Maybe I'll make the team next year, instead!
  11. I think the situation there could definitely be worse than the news says it is. The media, especially in North America, tend to cover things up and censor things. Plus, the government in Afghanistan might not want the whole world to know if their country isn't at peace right now. So they might not let the media get the information out, or at least not all of it. Things like that happen all the time, especially with countries that already have reputations for being bad.
  12. Aww, I'm really sorry to hear that. Hang in there. About two years ago a very good friend of mine was killed in a car crash when another car ran a red light. It's hard to lose friends, I know. I'm really sorry...
  13. I prefer email, mail, and face-to-face talking. Sometimes IM, too. I don't like phones, much, though.

    Blogs?

I've tried blogging so many times in the past and it just hasn't worked out for me. Partly because I've never found a blog that I actually really like. And partly because I don't have much time for blogging. So I guess I can't really help you, sorry!
  15. At the moment I barely use the computer at all, because mine is dieing. It hardly has any space left, so I've had to unsinstall the large programs I use most often. And it's incredibly slow, so I can't get any work done on it at the moment. I've had to postpone my website until I at least get a new hard drive.
  16. I think, if you're already stupid, the Internet can certainly make you stupider, because you have no discretion. But I don't think it could do much to a genius' intellect. You just need to be able to decide what to believe and what not to believe. That's like saying can having a conversation with someone make you stupid, because they could tell you all the lies in the world. Or could watching TV make you stupid, because TV is one big lie of actors pretending to do stuff. Minus the news broadcasts and learning channels. But how much truth do they really tell, anyways? It's a matter of discretion, no matter where you are or what you're doing. If you're smart to begin with, you can gather some excellent knowledge from the Net and get smarter. And if you're not too dumb, then maybe you can get smarter. No one can really say. But of course, to spend all day, everyday, on the Net IS stupid. If you don't get out and get some fresh air, excersise, and schooling, then you're hopeless, and the Internet is of absolutely no help to you. You'll go crazy and get fat. Especially if you eat at your computer while surfing the Net all day. Tsk tsk. Fat lunatics are the last thing today's world needs.
  17. Sorry, I've never heard of those three Italian schools. But I'm sure you could find out a lot about them and what kinds of schools they are by doing a Google search. As for US and UK Universities: I'd say Harvard is the most famous US one and Oxford is the most famous UK one.But in the US there are so many Universities, probably one or more per state. In the UK, Cambridge is also a very popular University. What exactly are you looking to study in University? Knowing that might help people to help you better in suggesting a good school.
  18. ill is right, round is sort of wrong. Technically Photoshop can make stuff move, using its "sister" program, that should always come with it, called Adobe ImageReady. If you look at your Tools Palette (usually the only palette on the left of your Photoshop screen) there should be a picture, dependant on which version of Photoshop / ImageReady you have, on the very bottom of the Tools palette. If your rest your mouse over it, you should be able to click on it, and the ToolTip should say something like "Jump to ImageReady". Then whichever image you had open and selected in Photoshop when you clicked that button should open up in ImageReady. Then it's just a case of figuring out how to make things move in ImageReady, and a good start would be making sure you can see your Animations palette (usually bottom, middle) and exploring that. Need anymore help, just PM me.
  19. No, I disagree, I don't think Australians and Americans are very alike. They each have their own ways of doing things, and they have their own standards and whatnot. Plus one major difference is their accents.
  20. Wow, there's a Photoshop CS2 now? I should try it out, even though I never stuck with CS. I'm still using Photoshop 7! I didn't rate CS much, but maybe CS2 is better.
  21. I use Windows XP. Always. Never used Linux before, so I can't say anything about it. But I know I hate Macs. Ever since I first had to use one in Elementary school, they've always annoyed me. I don't know what it is about them. But everything Mac / Apple makes annoys me. Even the iPod, and the iThis and iThat and iEverything. But that's just me, don't take it personally, I just hate Mac. I also have Linspire, but I've never used it, my dad hasn't installed it on my computer, only on his.
  22. What's the difference between Optical and Laser mice? I have one with a big red light on the bottom, that dims when you lift the mouse off the desk. It's called... IntelliMouse Explorer... It's grey on top, with a scroller button and these weird buttons on the side that do annoying functions when you click them by mistake. I used to have a lovely blue Logitec mouse, also with a big red light on the bottom... Is the big red light Optical or Laser?
  23. I don't know much about Internet, hehe, but I do know that my Internet continuously cuts out at random times, and then comes back a few minutes later. Gets very annoying. Haven't bothered to ask anyone about it. But I do have a very slow computer, so if that has anything to do with it, then voila, haha
  24. If I could get a computer for my graduation, I would so go for a laptop! But it would have to be a really good one! I don't know much about laptops right now, like which brands are best, which ones are in... Do an Internet search for laptops with the features you know you want.
  25. Wow, I forgot you can skin Firefox! Does anyone know where to get some really snazzy skins? My Firefox is pretty boring looking right now. Not that I use Firefox much, anyways. I use Opera, and for Opera I have the Atlantek skin. If there was a skin like Atlantek for Firefox, I would love it. (Atlantek is styled like deviantART.com)
