Illiterate Hackers? Are hackers becoming illiterate?
Anndi replied to kitty's topic in General Discussion
Most English speakers today are either completely slack or just plain dumb when it comes to their mother tongue! And as for hackers being illiterate, I'm sure they always have been, why else did they invent their own way to type? Their own "1337" language. It's rediculous, and it annoys me the way people type these days. Many people who type stupidly aren't even that stupid. Though, sadly, many are. English speakers just don't know what they're saying, they don't get it, maybe we need better English teachers? Or we need to inforce the continued use and practise of proper English!because personally typing lyke this with no punctuation or capitols looks pretty stupid to me and even makes it harder to read why do you think punctuation was invented so you could read easier obviously i hate people who type like this and whats worse is people who tIp3 L13k d15 its just so ugly like omg and all the abbreviations cant people spell they need to abbreviate everything even short words like good become gud and would become wood or wud and stupid things like thatSorry, I'm finished ranting now. -
I don't really like to watch TV... It's a rare occation that I watch TV. When I do, it's only 5-10 minutes here and there. Unless we're watching Tomb Raider! Or something that actually grabs my attention. CSI is usually good. Yeah... Like I said, tele's not my thing. I like the computer, you can interact with it!

My dream phone is a Sony Ericsson, like a T610 or something. They rock. Colour screens. Some have cameras. Awesome themes, which I know how to create myself. I want a Sony Ericsson. My dad has the T300 or something like that, but he won't let me have it even though he got a new phone and doesn't use his Ericsson anymore!

I like green best! Basically any shade of green, as long as it's not too yellow, because that makes it look pukish... But I like dark foresty greens and bright lime greens and even dull greyish greens. Green is the colour of grass, leaves, usually frogs, and other reptiles and amphibians, the colour of snot, my eyes, my shoelaces and trousers, and shirt and binder and pencil, and there's even green ink in my pen!

Does Trap17 Have A Button? For Linking To Trap17.com From My Site
Anndi replied to Anndi's topic in Web Hosting Support
Excellent, thanks for the link and helpful info everyone. I'll have a look at the banners on that site, and if I don't see one I like, that would suit my site, I'll design one that will. Thanks, that's great. -
Having a computer in your room is excellent, if absolutely no one else uses it and it's all yours. I have a family PC in my sitting room, which I use most often, and a pretty pathetic laptop in my room. But the pathetic laptop is useful for when my mum decides it's computer free week. Then I can go to my room and quietly use my laptop. But it would be better if I had a really good computer in my room.

Ohh, I enjoy lots of stuff. Tennis, footie, weight training, wrestling, art and design, music (keyboard and drums), etc etc. But I get lots of homework in High School, and so I only really have adequate time for all these activities during the summer holidays. Like now!

Should Religion Be Updated? debate modern religion today (poll)
Anndi replied to Joannespw's topic in General Discussion
It would be interesting, to say the least, to see religions updated to suit today's societies. However, so many people who are devote to their religions believe that it's all about keeping things the way they were when religion began. Of course, many of us know that religion has changed since then, already, and many people simply fail to notice it. But there are so many stubborn people who might just kill you for altering their religion. Many people are just stuck in their ways and want nothing to do with the forward motion of society. But it would be good to have a very up-to-date religion, indeed. I just don't see that it would ever be feesable. You could end up starting some religious war. -
What Is The Dumbest Thing You Ever Done? What did you do stupid?
Anndi replied to Phi's topic in General Discussion
I do a lot of dumb things, but one time, two years ago, we were playing dodgeball in phys ed. A guy threw the ball at me and I jumped up and over to avoid the ball. Little did I realise I was standing right next to a wall. So I ended up jumping up and straight into the wall. The ball hit me anyways, so holding my sore arm that I just smushed into the wall, I went to sit out. I was standing next to one of my friends and in front of my two teachers who thought what I had just done was hilarious. But a few minutes later my arm started going numb and hurt a lot. So one of my teachers told me to try and squeeze his finger with my sore arm and I couldn't, so he said as soon as I got home I had to tell my parents and go to the doctor. I went, and the doctor bent my arm in all these painful ways and concluded that it wasn't broken, but I had dislocated my shoulder. My arm was in a sling for three weeks after that. Then one day, with my arm in the sling, I went to the store where a guy asked what I did to my arm. When I told him I jumped into a wall while dodging the ball in dodge ball, he fell over laughing. That's one of the dumbest things I've ever done. -
Well there are tons of painful things that have happened to me over the years... I'm extremely accident prone. But one of the most recent and memorable was a few months ago:I was sitting on the floor in my room organising school papers, I was beside a chest of drawers and across from me was a bookshelf that was quickly placed beside the door, protruding slightly past the door frame. So my brother comes along and decides the shelf is in his way and gives it a good shove from behind. The bookcase came down on me, pinning me between itself, the floor, and the chest of drawers. The corner of the bookshelf was in one side of my head while the knob of a drawer was in the other and my legs were pinned to the floor nder the shelf. Luckily I didn't get too badly injured, no broken bones or anything, but it actually dented my head. I just about passed out but my mum forced me to stay awake. That was really scary.

What Is The Strangest Thing Anyone Has Ever Called You?
Anndi replied to monkeys-r-orange's topic in General Discussion
I got called sexy By five different girls The weird part is that I'm a girl too.I also got called a turnip... -
I don't know my exact WPM but I can type fast, and well. It's really handy. Get your homework done fast. I often do look at the keyboard when I type, but I don't have to. I don't look at the keyboard when copying something off a piece of paper. I learned to type well in primary school, because I was in an enrichment program.

Well, my dad taught me to use Microsoft FrontPage when I was really young, so I've been using it ever since. Though I have gotten wise to all their extra codes, so I only use it for guidelines. I hand code the rest. I've tried DreamWeaver before, and personally couldn't get used to it. I might try again this summer. But I'm one of those people who gets habitual about the programs I use and I find it hard to switch.

Photoshop 9 (cs2) Whos Got It? What Do You Think Of It?
Anndi replied to Anndi's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
Sounds like a lot of familiar feedback: Computers that are too slow and old to handle the new program, budgets that are too low to afford the crazy cost. ( <-- Of course, that's why some people rip stuff ), not wanting to upgrade simply because you don't want to change your habits of using a different program. Some of the new features aren't all they're cracked up to be, but others are. I personally like it, but need a new computer first. I'd say, from version 7, it's more of an improvement than 8 was. But I'm still using 7 now. -
He, ist Deutscher eine k?hle Sprache. Ich liebe es.

What Would You Do If you only had one hour to live???
Anndi replied to pilgrim_of_mini-monkeys's topic in General Discussion
I would do something crazy and exciting. I would go say goodbye to all my family and friends. I might Do something for my funeral like choose a cool gravestone Then I might do something stupid like try a puff of a cigarette, just to see what it's really like, since I'm going to die ina few minutes, anyways. Maybe taste some alcohol. Have my last bite of chocolate. Enjoy evertyhing for the last time, ye know? And then when I know I have but a minute to spare, I would jump off a building! Yeah! -
Should Gay Marriage Be Allowed Should gay marriage be allowed
Anndi replied to kahat's topic in General Discussion
Yes, I think there's nothing wrong with gay marriage. Who cares? If gay people love each other enough to get married, just bloody well let them, I say. So a guy and a guy get married, no big deal. That's the way they are. There've been studies that show being gay is something one is born with. Thus, it's something gay people can hardly help, isn't it? People who get so agravated over it and are so strongly against it just bother me. Just let things be. -
Listening To Music - Headphones Or Not
Anndi replied to twentyinches631's topic in General Discussion
When there's no one else around, like I'm home alone or only one of my brothers is home, I prefer speakers. But when everyone is home, I have to use earphones, anyways. No one appreciates my music. But sometimes, if you have it too loud and people try talking to you, you don't hear them with earphones. But I still like earphones. I use them 85% of the time. -
I'm sure there has been a topic like this before, but I haven't been to this area in a while, so I can't spot one. Anyways, Photoshop 9: Anyone have it? If you do, what do you think of it? If you don't, do you think you'll bother with it?I personally started with Photoshop 6, quickly moved up to 7, and really enjoyed the improvements. Then 8 (CS) came out, I got the trial, and it just didn't fly with me. I didn't see enough improvement to bother upgrading fully. So I stuck with 7. Then 9 came out and I gave it a shot. I love it! Especially that new Warp feature, how cool? The only problem is, it uses up much more resources on your computer, it's a way bigger programme than version 7. So my poor old banger of a computer can't handle running such a large program, it slows to a halt and freezes. But when I get a new, decent computer. I'm definitely getting the full version of Photoshop 9.What do you think?

On the Forum Index, there's this box that talks about hosting credits near the top. Your credits should be in red text. As for dropping too much, I think mine did that one time. Maybe it's just an error in some script? Just make sure you always have plenty of credits, eh?

How Good Are U At Math Where did the money go
Anndi replied to bluewater's topic in General Discussion
Haha, that's a good one. I recall hearing it a very long time ago and being too confused to bother with it. But now I understand it more. It's neat how it works. You could also look at it this way:Each paid $10 for the "$30" radio. It was only $25, so the guy takes $5 to give back.He can't split $5 three ways even, so he keeps $2 and gives each guy $1.That means each guy paid $9, x3 = $27. The guy gives them $1 each, x3.$27 + $3 is $30, the original cost of the radio. So instead of $1 being missing, there is now $2 extra that the guy kept!
