  1. :XD: I'm heartbroken. The link does not work! I read this bit, it sounds beautiful.... Im so jealous! And your sig rocks, I play guitar but I totally agree. I'd love pictures, but.... but.... the link Both links actually, the second one also doesn't work.I hope you will have audio files/images on a working website by the time your next bass is done; I'm pretty curious. Is there any chance you could put up price estimates for the bass (and future bass) at the end? Just out of curiosity, so we could compare the price to the audio files and the images. I really want to get into building my own guitar, so any info would rock on the building side. See, I have pretty much all the tools in the world (don't ask). All I need is the knowledge, the actual building materials and the time. Time I have, no knowledge and I need a price range for the materials. Of course, I also need to know what materials I want, which falls under knowledge because I need to know what each material affects what and how much it affects it.... Congrats on the build, though, and it sounds like it has a very original tone which I think is a great achievement when building your own instrument.
  2. I bit a hole in my hand reading that No jk, I just have teeth marks :S! That sounds awesome, did you tell your motocross buddies? Did they buy it? If you had taped that, by now you'd be a millionaire thanks to the internet :XD: The people in the van must have been like "! Fly motorcycle! Fly!!!!"If you ever get into animation or acting, you'd better make a video/animation of that!
  3. Oh god I feel sorry for you. It's amazing how many tricks these scammers come up with! I just try to read these types of stories to be more aware, so you're helping me not fall for it... If it makes you feel any better, you might save other people getting into the same mess.... But Xisto is great. Posting really isn't that bad, and some of the topics are fun to post about. You get used to it: before it might seem like a hassle, but it really isnt.
  4. Lots of kids have it, dont worry its pretty normal. :XD: Just take a couple of breaks and play soccer for a little or listen to birds chirping and such. Go out and get ice cream! I remember when I was younger I had the same. Sometimes I can still remember the tunes, but they dont get stuck in my head. I can remember some of the sounds though: the game Banjo Kazooie for Nintendo 64... We used to play it SOOOO much. I still remember how he said he went "Yahup!" sort of... Remember, in most N64 games the characters don't talk: they type and make weird noises Sort of amusing. Hope the sounds stay away: good luck.
  5. Bullies are definetly a super big topic now in schools, but the meetings barely help. Also, in a lot of cases, when teachers interfere it worsens the situation. The thing is, that if there's a small argument between let's say 5 girls, if a teacher steps in and 3 get in trouble but the other two get a way, the 3 will get mad. Then, they'll round up their buddies and form an alliance against the other 2. The 2 will do the same, if they still have friends. You can have massive feuds, and depending on the people violent feuds (sp?) over the most ridiculous topics. All so, lecturing kids about how bullying makes people feel bad also doesn't help. Every knows, by the age of 13 and up, that it hurts peoples feelings: it's happened to them at least once no matter who they are. Telling them to "put yourself in their shoes" is crazy redundant and only stimulates things like the kids in the back row saying things like "what if they're the wrong size? what if I dont want to be in their shoes?" and other smart comments. There really is no way to fix this except pay more attention to what kids do and SHOW THEM THAT YOU NOTICE WHEN SOMETHIN HAPPENS. If a kid is insulting another kid, a teacher should make eye contact. Sort of telling them "I see what you just did, don't let me see it again." I understand that teaching and learning are both hard jobs, and it boils down to how the parents have raised their kids. I feel bad for the teachers because lots of them really want to help, but with only less than one fourth of each child's time, you can only change their behaviour to a certain extent. You can teach them to apply themselves, but if they've been abused or neglected, learning might not be the most important thing. All you can do is talk about it, but how much does it help...?(I realize this post was extremely hippocritical.... No need to point it out.)
  6. My school is pretty okay with things like that, theres a photoshop club and everything. People don't punch people for being nerds, but its a pretty common word to insult someone with. When I was younger, though, I guess I was sort of shameless. I would read non-stop in front of everyone and talk about games. 5th grade I probably started getting a little more embarrassed because I had just stopped playing Neopets.... but I grew out of that. I had an MMORPG phase too, but I don't play anymore.Sometimes people totally abuse the term nerd and use it when someone works really hard. That, I think, is really unfair because it is someones choice how hard they want to work. I do think it's unfair to tell on other kids who don't want to work/learn: it's their choice. Adults have the right to step in but peers don't. Peers are your equals and they shouldn't act like bosses.
  7. I've never been in a fight.. I'm a girl, so I don't think that's weird. All though, there are those news things about girls being super vicious.Hmm.... I haven't quite seen a fight either. I'll edit if I think of one, but I really can't remember now.
  8. If his sibling is more than a year older than him, he is probably considerably stronger. Also, maybe hes not insane and doesnt want to beat his brother. It's so wrong, hes the elder and hes totally irresponsible. My brother and I fight, but never like that.
  9. I used to be sooo into runescape. It feels bad to be addicted to something thats not productive, huh? I got addicted to guitar (which I'm PROUD of) and stopped playing MMORPGs completely. I don't even think about it. You should just look into things like singing, dancing, reading, writing, just try to develop something that seems ridiculous.Although I still suggest guitar... Or bass guitar. It's SO easy to find a band when youre a bassist because there's such a shortage!!!! You should seriously consider just looking at second hand instruments in your area for sale.Good luck. Just maybe try to break all the rules (its fun!) and you might get frozen. You'll be heartbroken, but you'll be super cool for being able to do that =3
  10. Congrats :XD: thats a really good deal. I can't say I'm a great actor though, but it seems like fun. Is it just acting classes or also looking at how to get deals with agents and such?
  11. Something tells me that when you get caught doing that, they won't be over-inclined to pay you, or, on the owner of the videos behalf, sue you. :XD:
  12. Don't just advertise things like this, give us a little more explanation and you'll get loads more e-mails. We're not going to just e-mail you for no reason when we're just going to "make money". This looks like such a scam.As for the guy talking about AdSense, I'm like about to subscribe :XD:
  13. Well I have to say, for me hair does a lot. I like it pretty long, but washed. Although I don't like it split and all perfectly comb: just not filled with dandruff/greasy. Also, a good body is nice: although huge muscles and massive peks I find pretty nasty. Honestly. A calm smile is nice, though not like a ":XD:))))))))))))))" smile, like over happy... Then it's sort of weird. I like blue eyes.
  14. Manners if hes from a well-off family, if hes the type of guy who walks around with crumbs on his face and wears a grease stained wifebeater 24/7, just shake his hand and give him a fairly strong grip. Try to make a small talk, but not cheesy. Try to avoid talking about work if he seems not to be happy with his job... Also you might want to consider asking your girlfriend what type of things hes interested in.
  15. The first day I had myspace, I was friended by a guy who was atleast 6 years my senior who wanted a relationship XD I just ignored it. Theres so much spam on myspace, its really annoying... I dont really use networking sites that much though.
  16. Two years and you've never seen eachother. It's cool that it started in the 9th grade... Makes it a pretty sweet relationship. Just think up conversations in your head before you leave. Ask about where he lives, how his family is (if he has), whether he's studying, if he is what hes studying if he's not what he's doing, how he likes it where you are, how he feels right at that moment, etc.... Just be totally natural and smile.
  17. I hope hes not going to scam you and not let you change the ads.
  18. both links are broken. As much as I'd love to listen, I can't :XD:
  19. Yeah, I agree with what the first poster said. You might want to sort of shorten the first 3 lines or so. Take out words like "wanna" in the first line and for the third line just say "And who makes my stomach roll" leave out the whole butterflies thing. No offence, but when I say it in my head I get this really hillary Duff-ish backstreet boy think. You can't really have a non jumpy happy over-jolly song with lyrics like these. But if thats the type of music you like, go for it. I think they're alright, it's just these are really common words to rhyme with. Me, me, Leave, believe. Who, you Smile, wild (sorta common). Morning and warning are probably the best rhymes in here. Oh well.
  20. Seven soccer fields? That's massive. That's pretty tough for the competition... I wish this didn't happen, Microsoft has such a monopoly... If Apple just lowered their prices they could seriously make a comeback and beat Microsoft. Honestly, I'd prefer it. I'd really like a picture, but I'm guesing that won't happen.
  21. Haha, that'd be funny angad. I almost got a Nokia.... Then I could have done this :XD: But instead I'm getting a Motorola Rizr like, tomorrow. I can't wait, it looks cool.
  22. Oh come ON! Theres barely any girls! Girls can do computer stuff too.Girl < 18 yrs here.
  23. google is probably the best. ALthough AIM has the same service, but you need to give in your cell phone number. They then send an activation code to your cell phone (they text message it). I'm not sure who gets charged, I haven't done it.
  24. geeez, close call. You got off lucky. Was your brother angry? Or did he understand? And don't worry about your english, the important part is is that we could understand what you said.
  25. When I bought my guitar. Its pretty weird. When I started gaining interest in guitar, my mom gave me a 40 year old Nippon Gakki to practice on. I practiced on that for some months without instruction, and sometimes messed around on my brothers electric. He never used it and he was terrible, so I thought it was fun. At one point, we finally decided to get me an electric guitar. By then I was hooked onto Green Day, so I was always listening to music. We traveled to Guitar Center. My mom told me to try to look at the used section, and I didnt care: as long as it had pickups and plugged into an amp I wouldn't have noticed if we bought a ukulele. Either way, they were displaying about 5 used guitars on this pedestal thing. There was a blue one (which I'd later be able to identify as a Mexican Fender Stratocaster), a solid green no-name guitar, 2 expensive guitar and an orange sunburst guitar with a broken string. I fell in love with the orange one immediately. My mom wanted me to get the blue one, but it has this horrible ugly sticker stain. After about 2 hours of having no idea of what I was doing, I said to my mom "No I want that one." for the 100th time (reffering to the orange one) and we finally asked an employee to string it. The guitar was cheaper than the others, and once it was strung it sounded better and the action was great. Loved it. We bought an amp and all the accessories and were going to the check out when... "Wait! Sorry!" an employee explained how there was a police clearance wait for used items. It happened to be that the guitar was uncleared one day after we left for a month long vacation. The employee asked if I still wanted the guitar. I told him yeah and vowed to practice for that month like crazy. We happened to bring a super old classical guitar with us on vacation. I improved and learned bar chords and other things but every day dreamed of that stupid orange guitar... It drove me insane, and I kept complaining until my parents promised we'd pick it up the day after we got back. Finally we arived at home. After a sleepless night we went to pick up the guitar. I loved it. I played 8 hours that day, and 7 the next and about 5 for the next week. I still love it. Picture of this famed orange guitar: http://www.guitarshop.net/dean/avalanchemq_lh.jpg (Dean Avalanche MQ) I love guitar
