I use Windows Live Messenger as my IM Client. And I prefer Hotmail over Gmail, because of the "integration" with each others. (Toast Notification on new email, X Undread Emails etc.) I have GMAIL too, but only use that for SMTP/POP Mail :XD: Besides it's good for mails, but no one I know would THINK of using Google Talk.

I've tried Linux Ubuntu myself, I find it a GOOD Open Source / Free Operating System.Still the fact that I never manage to "put myself in" to the system, learning commands in Terminal, etc is just what I don't need.So I'll stick with Windows! Windows XP for those who started to wonder :XD:

*Sigh* "Friends"... "Best Friends"... "Bezzies"... Familiar terms? I bet - I've seen them all (the terms) love me, hate me, trust me, betray me. It's funny... How I've had a best friend since I went to first grade. When I got to Junior High my family decided to move to "Arendal" (where I live now), I lost all contact with my previous friends (almost). Then all of a sudden, I browse through random piczo sites (don't ask :XD:) and I find a guy from my "old class" (where i lived before) and he placed his MSN there, I decided to add him, just to see if I got a response or anything. (I didn't have internet before I moved here, which explains why I didn't get anyone's email etc.) He replies - And I reply - I say my name and he knows me right away, it's like we've known each others since we were kids (but fact is I've never been a friend of his), we suddenly realise all these great things we like / have in common, and after I visited him a weekend we've been best friends ever since. My "old" best friend - Well i've simply lost contact, not spoken to him in ages... Maybe... I grew tired of him... Not saying he's mean or bad etc, but I've just known him too long Now I have lost 1 best friend - Gotten 1 best friend , so to you spawn_syxx9 - Best of luck with these matters! Get to know other people - As you may NEVER know what you've missed =)

Freewebs was actually how I got INTO Web making etc. I guess I wasn't more than 12-13 then, but it was how it nosed my interest of creating pages, and slowly every day I got better. Now I would say this is CRAP - Sorry freewebs, but some of us goes up to a whole other level (PHP / Scripts, FTP, Domains!?). Still - For my good old times :XD: 6.5/10 < Good for new people - Like we ALL once were! >

I just started my High School year here in Norway (and i live there, so no "country experience" really). I study Graphic Design / Photography / Media in general, it's what i've wanted to work within for many years now. At home I do my best creating photoshop designs, webpages for others, but i KNOW that with my "3 years of self interest" won't be enough to make it. In Norway - We can't skip straight to "College" (or not as I know of anyway.) I decided that I wouldn't drop out of high school (i know that's STUPID as hell!) but it came to my mind a few times. At the moment, the only place I got into (with my low grades and low-financed family) it's a place about 1 - 1 and 1/2 hour away from my current location, The first 2 days so far have been complete CRAP getting to and from school, but I'm doing this for my FUTURE, MY OWN INTEREST, AND TO MEET NEW PEOPLE, EXPERIENCE SOMETHING before I take the "leap" into the "Adults" world. Sure we all feel "adulty" when we're 16, but try to capture the moment while you still have. I've already met lots of cool people, and i'm now going to move for myself to a little place nearer the school. THAT'S what's going to be a challenge for me! Living on my own, maybe only coming home a day in the weekends etc. But it's because I WANT TO learn, This is High School , the CLASS I'VE CHOSEN BY MYSELF! In the school years before, we had same sh*t every day plans, now it's up to what we want. So don't complain - You got it sh*tty?? No - You don't! And neither have I, you should just have realised how good things are! :XD: -Wish me good luck! ^^-

Thanks for that info odomike, I've never gotten to try out FrontPage yet :XD:Myself - I use Photoshop (CS2 on school and CS3 at home), Dreamweaver (CS2 at school and CS3 at home), Flash (yeah you know the drill ), and InDesign etc.Coding isn't anything of my particular skills, so f.ex i could easily design a cool busty design, but i have no idea how i would convert it to an editable website. :DBut it's the THOUGHT that matters! Long Live BRAINS! ;P

I don't know why people call us (the "Average" computer user) (ok i guess spending atleast 6 hours a day ++ is...) nerds / geeks - When their lying up my face! Yep, 110mb has become really CRAPPY!Usually I would tell my friends to sign up on 110mb if they wanted great free hosting... Now - I'm really uncertain at all.Xisto is good and stable and all, but yeah. Maybe it's just not in my "blood" to "POST4HOSTING".It's still rewarding however! But 110mb you're WAY OUT OF LEAD, get some good ideas or something! Don't take advantage of all your customers... :XD: Argh!

Yes, definately am Truefusion.And I've never really been fond of the community in 110mb. All i'm saying is - It's unfair that they've changed in a bad way.THE LEAST they could do is actually stop bragging about the great features they provide (even though they've placed a simple "*" next to it) and actually say that you must PAY for these features. (But then again - What is that to do with FREE HOSTING?).Here you can post and get EVERYTHING in one.Not "post a bit here, and pay a bit here, and it'll all solve itself!" Yep, glad others see the problems with 110mb as well.And I wasn't aware of the MYSQL thing and forum stuff, but the thing is - Why should you post for something when it is "FREE" hosting? Before - You got everything neatly set up, and the minor bugs were nothing because of the great features we got.Now - I feel they've become too "popular" and they think so themselves. They've become too greedy, and we all know paying for features that are at such a low standard as MYSQL or REGISTER_GLOBALS ON is WEAK.Xisto is a nice community, and i'll definately be seeing if i won't get myself some hosting here :XD:Thanks for your feedback everyone, anyone else have something they want to share ?

I like them both - Advantages and Disadvantages for both. :DI use MSN DAILY - Therefore the easy Hotmail Integration adds up a whole lot!Second of all - Gmail is GOOD, but I'm just more "habited" with Hotmail than Gmail, and therefore i shall stick with Hotmail. :XD:HOTMAIL has even MORE space and more features than gmail now, so all you "gmail" fanboys can stick it up the b*tt (Atleast the GMAIL FANBOYS who accuse hotmail of being bad.)

110mb A big name in the hosting world today, indeed. I remember back in the days, 110mb offered LOTS of amazing features, despite the fact they couldn't keep them. I talked to support, they were about 2 - 3 people controlling it all. It was nice ! Don't get me wrong, anyway. On to my POINT. We all (or some of us) remember 110mb as the best host possible! (Sorry, even better than Xisto :XD:) But what it has become now is really bad. First of all - They brag too much about their "amazing" offer. They offer things such as: 2 GB FTP100GB Bandwidth10 SQL DatabasesFTP Access110DBManager (better then phpMyAdmin) Etcetera etcetera. Let's take a look!I have an account on 110mb, i log in to my panel. And i see a FRESH REDESIGN of the LayeredPanel script. (they also talk a lot about them recoding it all etc, CARE!) Regarding the new LIMITS, due to "hackers" and "abusers", they had to lock down the entire list of REGULAR features you can get ANYWHERE. Now - You must PURCHASE (What happened to FREE!?) access to one and one feature! Here's the list: Sendmail ON - 5$ Register_Globals ON - 1.50$ Turn ON MySQL Database Support - 9.95$ Turn ON .htaccess Support - 5$ Turn ON CGI/Perl/Python/Sendmail/Htaccess - 9.95$ Total Ammount of money needed for all features: 31.40$ So.. WHAT HAPPENED TO THEIR "FREE" IMAGE? The moment i saw this, i was outrageous! Oh yes! MAD and FURIOUS! I liked their host the way it was. Sure - They get problems with abusers using SENDMAIL to abuse etc, but that's no big bomb! I'd certainly pay a buck or two as "insurance" for that I won't abuse anyone with my website, but the fact I need to pay for ALL OF THESE (STANDARD) features!? HELL NO! 110mb - I just don't understand WHY... WHY RESTRICT the MySQL Databases to 10$ ? (ok 9.95, whatever.) For 10$ - I could get almost 2 months hosting at the world's best host (*at the time posted, it has the highest rated reviews*), and they offer 8 times more than you do! Why did you TAKE AWAY your GREAT looking "FREE 4 LIFE" brand - And replace it with pesky price tags for normal features? Seriously 110mb, you just lost one valuable and loyal customer. And he's not returning again, unless you improve. (Then again - Why listen to 1 free user's complaints, move along! The others will surely use 32$ on FREE hosting *cough*). Just my 2 cents... Exactly, it's a ripoff and they always use small fonts so it's hard to read. UNFORTUNATELY it's not a "scam", they'll simply tell you "the text is clearly on the page / tv / whatever, there's nothing we've done wrong." Bah - Scammers / Money Lying cheaters :XD: Go away!!

As a "KID" myself I don't have problems with my parents (atleast when it goes for the computer).When I was small(er) however, they always limited my time to sit on wether it be PLAYSTATION or COMPUTER.Now (I go to High School) and I can sit up as long as I wish. (With the due respect that I can actually figure out bedtimes myself ;P)Problem is my parents are "idiots" at computers, internet, MSN? It's a lot of stuff to take in. They might say whatever they want - For my studying I won't be doing else but to be on a laptop / desktop computer, so somehow it'll sink in for them to accept the fact that it's just the way today's society is.
