  1. Wow great, just great explained here reith, and yes - I must agree in just about every term / point you made. The graphics are sweet - I remember before i built my new rig I had a under-class computer, it was slow, 1GB of RAM, 2.2GHz Processor (no "Dual-Core" here hehe) and an ATI Radeon X1600 - Now the name is "wow", the card is "oww" Couldn't run the game stable, even at all on low (which is when i could test the lowest graphics, and NO AA etc) it still looked amazingly good for being so reduced! Now my new rig (ok perhaps mention the specs?): Windows XP Professional SP2 2GB RAM Intel Duo 2.0 Ghz (That's 2.0ghz X 2) XFX GeForce 8600GT (256MB Clock Memory) ^ With this rig you can run TF2 at max without any lag - Of course this isn't "TRUE" nor "FALSE", as any combination might work, but atleast the game doesn't crash out every 5 minute for me anymore. (Perhaps it was the "beta" too.. when I tested on my old PC.) The game has those "Oh LA LA" effects (hehe try for yourself, experience the thrill!) and a non-stop-'perfectionized' gameplay. It just never gets boring! But ok I've said enough for now, let someone else come with their opinion x] :]
  2. Yeah if they keep it this way people who didn't play the last episode can get the latest and last to catch up, a good idea. Still - The problem is Valve doesn't release new "Episodes" OFTEN enough I feel. It's episodic, but they should release episodes a lot more frequent to keep up interest in the episode series. :]
  3. Thanks for posting your opinions!Yeah I agree Portal is really hard sometimes, I still haven't completed it but much of my friends have , and they don't like the short "campaign".Still - I heard about the map editor - This only expands it!And even TF2 has a map editor - great - because TF2 is my favourite game ever lol. It just never gets boring! And "team-play" is a big element in it, so bring on the good stuff people! I'm ready to kick your *bottom* ;D
  4. Quite simple way to do it, yes.But who said "The easy is often the best!"? Me x]It's good, thanks.I've used Photoshop for about a year now, so if i wanted to create something like this it'd be babyfood lol, but I do hope others benefit / learn from this!
  5. I would just recommend you use an Offline HTML Editor. (Dreamweaver, Notepad, whatever.)This way it's easier to keep stuff organized and fast. I don't trust the webtools (mostly)
  6. Good trick, and keeps it simple.I hate these "Download the XPShutDownUBERFASTLOL" stuff.REGEDIT = Simpler :]Thanks! And @ You others - Yeah it's annoying to shut down the computer, walk away and find out "oh!" there's a program which refuses to close so you'll have to click the "Close now" button YOURSELF...Just my 2 cents... If i had ;D
  7. Ah this movie is so on my "must watch" list. The plot is scary, intruiging, interesting and cool. Can't wait for the results, still - It's out in United States before it's on cinemas in Norway / Europe so... :\ Ah well... More waiting for me.
  8. Always nice to know.Google are really world-dominant you ask me. Perhaps they could CHANGE the currency and say "Hell yeah, we gotz teh googol's!"
  9. So I pre-purchased The Orange Box a few weeks ago, and I MUST SAY; Best buy of the year ! In the pack / "Box" you get: Half Life 2 Half Life 2: Episode One Half Life 2: Episode Two Portal Team Fortress 2 If you have HL2 and HL2:EP1 from before, You get these as "gifts" and can GIVE these games to any friend you want (it's one time only though, don't waste it on someone you don't like ;D). Team Fortress 2 I must say this game is the most valuable one in the pack. The game itself is so close to perfect it's surprising! The classes are all very well balanced so it never gets boring being the "medic", and never too hyped up being "Heavy", storming the enemies. 10/10 (For being insanely AWESOME!) Portal It's quite interesting indeed, an FPSP (First Person Shooter 'Puzzler') as I like to call it. As TF2, this has been quite updated with the source engine, looks really great and sleek. The Motion-Blur effects (when moving fast etc) are in this game aswell as the other ones - Kickass! 8/10 (For short game-play time) Half Life 2: Episode Two Awesome! The story is catching, as it's always been. This time you got more freedom, and more exterior action than on EP1. You even get to drive a frickin' sweet car (haha my fav part ) and battle deep inside murky undergrounds. The graphics are updated and certainly took a lot of my graphics card - HL2: 100FPS avg - HL2EP2: 30-40FPS avg A noticeable fall because of the new graphics. There's nothing more to say than that it's a 'Must Try!' 9/10 (Great - Just Great! But 10 is for perfect - And so far TF2 is the only perfect one.) ------------------------- So overall - BUY IT NOW! I got NOTHING ELSE TO SAY - GET IT WHILE IT'S HOT! Please post YOUR comments and reviews about The Orange Box, and preferrably its games. -Atthack
  10. So all you really need to know is to keep enough credits. As recommended it's good to have atleast 10.00 Credits or more, so incase you can't log on one day you can take it back another day.I've been terminated before because i went away for too long and didn't make it back, but that's in the past. Stick with Xisto for a while, post around the forum and get into discussions. This way your site will be up forever Xisto is such a stable host now the flaws are practically not to talk about at all. They're insured by a huge company so incase anything goes wrong they've got professionals handling it.As good as paid hosting? Yes - What are you waiting for :]
  11. I could maybe help out, but I'm still developing my skills in Webdesign, so my "degree" is limited.Still I'd love to try it out! I've designed sites for others before, still haven't gotten my portfolio or anything up because of school, but you never know. :]
  12. Well it's still stupid to trick people with "Advertising". I know this must be the only way they get new members, but they should limit it a bit.Why not just buy the DVD's you want lol, then skip the "leasing" x]
  13. I think this is merely a coincidence, But we should never look away from the first thought - That this is purposefully done.Microsoft has power - Google has too, in smaller ammounts.Gmail is popular - Hotmail wants to dominate!Still I think it's a coincidence, just give it some time...
  14. I've seen many foolish viruses like these before, Too bad my friends are stupid enough to accept any kinds of crap. (That means more "crap" to me .)Just keep a freshly updated AntiVirus (NOD32 recommended) and always stay alert, f.ex i'm from Norway - Since when did my friends start speaking English and send me "image" files (which probably are .jpg.zip or .jpg.com etc).HEADS UP and don't take crap from anyone
  15. I smell a charge against NetFlix? Get your money back and stick with BlockBusters x]
  16. Yeah this is annoying, but when I read the topic title I thought it had to do with Windows Vista, as they're stopping the XP sale in a few years and somehow i got the "what? they're stopping people's key's already?" thought in my head :]Well just call them and they'll fix it. You're entitled to use it as much as you need - But I guess it was to stop "Suspicious" installs.
  17. It will indeed be interesting to see how Microsoft will resolve their (in)famous Internet Explorer rumors and facts. Some hates it - Some just uses it - Most of hackers exploit it - Because most people "just use it".IE8 will take a while to get, knowing Microsoft wants "perfect", not "Almost" Still - I'll stick with Firefox, I know that's the Webbrowser for me
  18. If we had even 1/10th of that Speed as COMMON i'd be UberHappy lol
  19. Thanks for the recommendation, Always wanted to give the 3D Animator in me (lol not a big one) a try ;P
  20. What if everything was released at the same time? Then you could watch a movie and talk to a friend in America about it f.ex.But Nooo-oh! It's not that way... Why is that so anyways?
  21. In my family I'm the oldest brother, It's not as easy as it seems. He's (they're; i got 2 littlebrother's) always nagging me, asking stupid questions and demanding help for something, and the MOMENT I ask for a hand he's mad at me and refuses to help!I just hate being the 'good guy' all the time - I help family, friends and others all day long but whenever I need to borrow something for 10 seconds it's "f*ck you!" ._.Bah...
  22. I think Joomla is among the best CMS's for expansion and options, But reason many complain is perhaps because it IS A BIT HARD TO UNDERSTAND AT TIMES?Don't get me wrong - I'm not calling people stupid for not understanding all the cool features, or "how" it all works. But don't blame Joomla, try something easier.Tons of other open-source one's too, like e107 etc. Try them if you disliked Joomla.
  23. Yeah in my opinion - vBulletin has the most addons / mods directory. Good for massive expansion.Invision Power Board (IPB) has more sleek design, and average addons - Still there's a huge database for these too, so don't stop on it because I'm not pointing on anything :)phpBB - My favourite - It's OPEN SOURCE / FREE - And the mods are therefore in a LARGER disposal than the others.More mods = More Freedom = A better Board! : D
  24. Yeah I stumbled upon this site a few weeks ago. Watched his reviews - And I find them both amusing and honest, just the way it should be!Great combination of humour and seriousness / straight on point... And come on - Who the hell said Halo 3 was the best game ever? Grow up fanboys - It's just like any other FPS to me
