  5. Hey Hey, KFC is winning by a huge margin....Haha, There are more replys than Poll replys..only 28votes..I should have added an extra poll option stating they both arent that good...Well I'm eating some KFC Chips..oh and few months ago i went to Malaysia (To those that doesnt know I'm australian), Well i went to a KFC shop at the Kula Lumpr Airport..Ordered a Chicken burger, some nuggets and a Large Chips. The Chips it was different, the chips were like the McD ones this, In Australia, they have the thick one which according to me is more delious. Well the ships didnt taste bad but the nuggets they were disgusting..You should have seen the filling they didnt even look like chicken, it was pink(Raw). I had to throw it away after one bite. I would have thought the flavour around the world is the same, but i now know it isnt.

    Grand Canyon Skywalk

Scheduled to open Jan. 1, 2006 Hualapai Indian Reservation

    * Juts about 70 feet into the canyon, 4000 ft above Colorado River

    * Will accommodate 120 people comfortably (how comfortable would you be)

    * Built with more than a million pounds of steel beams, and includes dampeners that minimize the structure's vibration

    * Designed to hold 72 million pounds, withstand an 8.0 magnitude earthquake 50 miles away, and withstand winds in excess of 100 mph

    * The walkway has a glass bottom and sides...four inches thick

    More info:

August 26, 2005Fear of heights? This is definitely no place for you.

The all-glass, balcony-like "Skywalk"--shown in an illustration released this week--will extend over the edge of the Grand Canyon, 4,000 feet (1,200 meters) above the Colorado River.

"The Skywalk will be an attraction unlike any other in the world," said Sheri Yellowhawk, CEO of the Grand Canyon Resort Corporation. The company is building the bridge in the Hualapai Indian Reservation on the south rim of the canyon.

The Skywalk is scheduled to open to the public in January 2006 as part of a new resort on the reservation. The resort, known as Grand Canyon West, is to include a re-created Indian village and a restaurant perched on the edge of the canyon. Tourism is the reservation's biggest source of income.

Grand Canyon West will be on the western edge of Grand Canyon National Park, about 120 miles (about 200 kilometers) from Las Vegas. But perhaps not even the Las Vegas Strip's over-the-top attractions will be a match for this glass-bottom walkway over the world's biggest gorge.

  10. Hey,

All you Halo freaks out there, The Halo Bungie team have joined with Universal Studios and Twentieth Century Fox to creat the movie Halo. The movie is based on the Game Halo: Combat Evolved. So HaloŽ: Combat Evolved is coming out on the big screen. I'm not sure when it is coming out, but i know that they are going to shoot them in New Zealand. I found this information while i was checking out some information on Xbox 360, *darn* i live in Australia have to wait till March, lucky Americans. Anyways, i have quoted the artice below, it is hude but i'll leave a link as well: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/

Peter Jackson to Executive Produce Halo Movie
Universal Pictures and Twentieth Century Fox announced today that triple-Academy Award winners Peter Jackson and Fran Walsh will serve as the executive producers of HaloŽ: Combat Evolved for the big screen. The upcoming feature film will be based on the phenomenally popular game for the XboxŽ video game console from MicrosoftŽ and Bungie Studios. Jackson and Walsh will provide creative counsel on all aspects of the film via their WingNut Films banner, and Jackson's award-winning companies Weta Digital Ltd. and Weta Workshop Ltd. will provide creatures, miniatures and visual effects for the production. The Halo agreement marks the first time that Jackson and Walsh have performed these services on a major studio film that Jackson is not directing.

Mary Parent and Scott Stuber will produce Halo with Peter Schlessel. After Twentieth Century Fox and Universal acquired the feature film rights to Halo, the studios worked in conjunction with Schlessel in reaching out to a number of producers who auditioned for Microsoft and Bungie. The film is currently targeted for a Summer 2007 worldwide release. Universal will handle domestic distribution of the film, and Fox will handle the international release.

This unique alliance among Fox, Universal, Microsoft, and Peter Jackson and Fran Walsh promises a step forward in motion picture production.  Halo will benefit from the experience and resources of the film studios, from Bungie Studios' groundbreaking vision, and from Jackson and Walsh's creative sensibilities and expertise in both traditional filmmaking and the world of emerging digital technologies.

Halo will be shot in its entirety in Wellington, New Zealand and will make use of the full range of Jackson's state-of-the-art production and post-production facilities, including Weta Digital Ltd., Weta Workshop Ltd., Stone Street Studios and Park Road Post.

"As a gaming fan, I'm excited to bring Halo's premise, action and settings to the screen with all the specificity and reality today's technology can provide,"said Jackson. "Fran and I are intrigued by the unique challenges this project offers, and we're delighted to be working again with our friends at Universal, and with our new ones at Fox and Microsoft. I'm a huge fan of the game and look forward to helping it come alive on the cinema screen.

Tom Rothman and Jim Gianopulos, Co-Chairmen of Fox Filmed Entertainment remarked, "Halo, Peter Jackson and Fran Walsh, Fox, Universal and Microsoft. That is one hell of a starting five, and we can't wait to play."

"I couldn't be more pleased, or proud, to continue our relationship with Peter and Fran on this film," said Stacey Snider, Chairman of Universal Pictures. "There are no filmmakers who better understand the delicate balance between technology and drama, and how the best use of today's astonishing digital tools is in the service of not only spectacle but also a solid story. We are confident that the Halo feature film can be most fully realized under the creative direction of Peter, Fran and Weta."

"Peter Jackson is one of Hollywood's most exciting innovators, and our partnership with him will greatly broaden the appeal of the Halo franchise," said Bill Gates, Microsoft's Chairman and Chief Software Architect. "We're confident he'll create an epic that not only thrills existing Halo fans, but also introduces millions of moviegoers around the world to this amazing saga."

Peter Jackson and Fran Walsh (each a winner of three Academy Awards for their work on The Lord of the Rings trilogy) are currently in post-production on Universal Pictures' dramatic adventure King Kong, in which Jackson brings his sweeping cinematic vision to the iconic story of the gigantic ape captured in the wild and brought to civilization where he meets his tragic fate. Jackson assumes directing, producing and co-screenwriting duties on King Kong and surrounds himself with a list of superlative filmmaking and acting talents. Jackson re-teams with longtime collaborators, co-writing the screenplay with three-time Oscar-winning partner Walsh and their The Lord of the Rings co-writer, Academy Award winner Phillipa Boyens. Jan Blenkin, Carolynne Cunningham, Fran Walsh and Jackson are producing the film under their WingNut Films banner for a worldwide December 14, 2005 release.

Acclaimed screenwriter (28 Days Later) and novelist (The Beach) Alex Garland wrote the original feature film adaptation of Halo, and a director will be announced shortly.

Donna Langley, President of Production, Universal Pictures and Hutch Parker, President of Twentieth Century Fox, will oversee the production for their respective studios along with Microsoft.

Imagine Halo on the Big Screen, wonder if it is animated or real, the thing is i wonly read the first paragraph and the last paragraph of the stuff quoted above, i yeah i'm too lazy to read the whole lot. Cant wait..to see how Master Cheif looks like....so if they are making Halo as a movie it should be a series shouldnt it because of Halo 2, and possibley Halo 3???
