I had to do some maintence on my computer recently and i got a little better performance out of it. With the right settings i am able to run css at an average of 40 fps with a ati xpress 200 video card and that is quite a accomplishment.Not saying that simply cleaning up your computer will make all your games run better but here is what I what i did to clean up my computer.First I go through and find whatever files I put on the computer and no longer want unitalling them using add or remove programs to prevent invalid registries and deleting their original .exe files if they did not come from a disc. After i get rid of all the files i do not want then I run Windows Live OneCare to get rid of all my invalid items. After that I use disc defragmenter to make things easier on the prossecer so it does not have search all over the hard drive for files.The one thing I cannot do with my new computer is scan disc or disc cleanup. The reason for this is the computer i have has window as a one time install and i can only update it. It did not come with original disc and sometimes when running system maintence tools it will ask for your disc to repair dll cache files. So it might always help to get a computer that comes with a windows disc. I also go to start run and type in msconfig that will help change alot of you startup programs and you can elminate processes.Also try services.msc but be careful with which one you disable because your system will become unstable and you might have turn your computer off and turn it back on so have fun.

I have a HP and it has a Pentium 4 3.06 ghz and it does an ok job of execution not as good as a faster pentium 4 or a core duo but it gets the job done. It has 960 mb of ram wich it is supposed to be 1gb but it really is only 960, and on average I use about 400 mb of the 960. It also came with a Ati Xpress 200 video "card" if you want to call it a piece of hardware it is not like a good ole ati card. It is a chipset that looks to the memory and other computer hardware for help.So this will really drag your computer down mostly in the area of games crashing. Because once all your memory is being used it will no longer be able to read intructions and that will cause an internal read error.Also a firewall and virus software is important. If you don't have any of these and you try downloading and surfing the net without it then you will have some serious problems. I know that hp's come with norton and you will have to keep a subscription with symantec then things will work alot better also try to defragment after you have installed or downloaded alot of files or moved them. Always use add or remove programs to get rid or your files and well I can't use disc cleanup because my computer came with xp only no disc and that means that I cannot repair the lost dll caches.But hey it still works fine using defagment,norton and lots and lots of gaming.And about the video card thats in mine I can play some games and I can even use some 3d editing sofware but as woth ati video cards bugs are a problem so I would reccomend a nvida card.

Umbrella lol just playin I am in the middle of playing RE4 right now, I guess I would have to say it could possibly be any pharmaceutical company as Sprnknwn had stated. I think that they hide some cures from people so that they can give people a treatment instead of a cure.With the treatment they then charge large amounts of money for the drug. They still charge large amounts of money for a drug years after the research is completed and they price it not only to pay for all the workers that diagnose problems with people but also to make a large profit thus causing people who do not have the money to pay for treatment to either have to find a way to get it or die,if the illness that person has is bad enough to kill them. The idea that they hide cures is more of a conspiracy theory than it is a fact. The idea that people are dieing all over the world from treatable diseases and curable diseases is a fact. The pharmaceutical industry is one of the most profitable industries there are in the world and these are the reasons that I think that they are the most evil corporation in the world.

I think that is a cool thing for him do it really shows his dedication to his country,now back home I doubt anyone from our high command will be trying to join the military and go on the front line. I tried to join but I guess with my previous criminal charges I was denied enlistment. I was confused about that though because they were only juvenile charges and they were for fighting when I was in school. I guess any back to back charges are recognized as red flags. My grandpap bought a brand new tractor from home depot its a yard machines from home depot and it cuts good it just has some problems.The tires had problems with the beads and everything sounds real loose in short I would not recommend one of these tractors.

I have heard that doom 3 was the last in the series and that they were not going to make another doom ever again.I just cannot remember where I heard it,I remember something that said they were going to move onto something different and that it was not going to include the doom series.Although i am not 100% positive, that is all I can remember.

I thought I played mafia for ps,anyway I don't remember too much about it besides the fact that there was a mission that I had alot of fun playing and I thought it was quite hard to beat the mission.It was the one were you had to shoot the guy in the white suite.Anyone remember?

I haven't used cs3 yet,but I seen a video on planet photoshop were they was adjusting the hue and saturation of a image and all he had to do was click and drag in a area of the image and it would adjust only the areas he clicked and dragged,so I don't know about the other features but I know I can't wait to try it out.

I think that the first driver was a great game that can not be forgotten,I remember the day that it came out and i got home and put it into my playstation and played the driving games,the one with the dirt track and loved the way the car handled.I then went to miami and was crusin around trying not to get any tail,and I passed into the wrong lane and barely toped the speed limit and the cops hit their lights.It was great something like reading about greek history.The possibilities of what could be discovered seemed endless.But as with all games it I grew tired with as I found out the possibilities were endless and then Driver 2 came out and I could not believe that you could out of your car and it was in 3d,at the time I wondered why Granf Theft Auto didn't attempt something like this but their time was yet to come.I think with Grand Theft Auto being released really put the shadow on the Driver series game play,I mean if you take a close look at driver 3 and the beginning of the driver series you will notice that part three in the series simply just improved upon what the other 2 did.I liked driver 3 because of freelook aiming system and the vehicle physics also the textures were of higher quality when compared to grand theft auto although the overall gameplay of any driver game cannot be compared to any GTA game ,but it still excels in areas that GTA does not.Then finally came driver 4 parallel lines.I thought the game had a cool racing system that could have been focused on more.But the seemed to try to copy gta a bit too much and the overall quality and feel of the game fell of and gta 4 was a disgrace to the driver series....In my opinion

I doubt microsoft will win but even if they do I doubt it will end open source software. I hope not anyway imagine if they did win and then said everyone was using their patent when they used a programming language aaah I doubt it though,and I wanted to put Linux on my old computer too,I never used it though,I am going to check it out,I'm sure even if microsoft would win people could still use the source code to change and update Linux and I doubt it would ever become impossible to get.

You know I was thinking that building a 2d game is a good idea as it will help to get the game systems down,it sounds like great practice, I guess you are going to school for it,right now I am experimenting with 3ds max but thats a little far from using with 2d,I am pretty good with radiant level editing software and that is also 3d software,i am not sure about what game engines it would be compatible with besides Q3 engine if any.Is your 2d game going to have any physics?

Maybe the reason they waited so long to get him for the identity theft charge was so that they would definitely know they were getting a nice chunk of change from the deal,oh wait no bad idea because they would probably have to give all the money to the corresponding parties.

I really don't think I ever read a book that changed my life,being as I have only read 3 or 4 books over my lifetime so far.I did like halo:The fall of reach,I think that if they made a halo movie it should be based on that book,as it tells the complete story of who the master chief is and also how he got to be who he was.

I agree,although people have told me that c++ was a dead language and was being replaced.When I was told this I did not believe them,they told me to that visual basic was going to out do c++,when I was told this I thought to myself is this even possible as I thought visual basic would be written in c++ and I think but I am not sure as I am not a programmer but wouldn't visual basic be the equivalent to dreamweaver or frontpage in the web devlopment world.And also c++ is what visual basic is written in.And another question that may be for another topic,I wonder what windows is written in and how windows would be compiled?

You can zoom in and out in internet explorer by using ctrl wheel mouse,but i never used opera I might have to check it out

I was just getting ready to put some finishing touches on my site,before I added any pages and I started thinking about people with lower screen resolutions.So i read a few articles that said to optimize for 1024x780,so I did and then I went back to my working resolution 1280x1024 and I sort of didn't like what I seen.Does anyone know anything I could do to optimize for all screen resolutions,or let me know what you think before I start adding pages.here is my site http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ I will be adding real content to it soon.

I like alot of driving games san andreas was a great "driving" game but I don't think anything compares to the driver series,I hated the last driver but driver 3 was great in my eyes while it had a few flaws like a very weak storyline.I still think the driver series has great vehicle physics and the graphics were great.I loved jumping out of a car on driver turning around and straight shotgun through the winsheild and just see their head laying on the steering wheel.

Yeah Gran Turismo was a great game I couldn't get enough of it then gran turismo 2 came out and it had alot more rides,I always used the 67 cougar.I agree with clarky,GTR2 seems like a great game but you will need a wheel,I cannot play it with the keyboard because I cannot stay on the road.I wish I had a wheel

When you exercise the endocrine gland releases hormones that help things happen faster like breathing,body movements and cell growth, and that is the reason why you feel so good after exercise, and this also could be the reason exercise helps your memory as I have noticed that exercise does this because if I sit around on the computer all day everyday and do nothing physical then I seem to feel slower and my thought process slows down.Then when i begin to exercise with running playing basketball or just cutting grass,my thought process then speeds up and thus causing my reaction speed to be quicker,from blocking a punch to scanning my brain for memories exercise is key to helping your body functions.

My list of favorite games would be quite extensive,It would be games like Halo,San Andreas,The Godfather,Gran Turismo, although Civilization lll was alot of fun. I lost interest quickly after playing it about 10 times, maybe I should have played it online.My personal most favorite game of all-time would have to be Resident Evil Directors Cut for the Playstation.The acting maybe be cheesy but it was the first game I played on next-generation of systems and I found it quite fun eventually playing through the game and beating it 15 times.I like how after you beat it you could get the revolver with unlimited ammo and then the rocket launcher with unlimited ammo there was certain criteria of course.I guess you can get a little bounus in just about every game but that is my current favorite game and I wish I could play it again maybe I will go get a station so I can play it again.

Well lets see my most favorite would have to Grand Theft Auto San Andreas simply because of the improved game play.Things like swimming and climbing walls and being able to go to the gym are just some of the things that make me like it better over liberty city and vice city.I liked how after I beat the game all the main missions on San Andreas and then I looked on the internet and found out that I could get a list of cars and steal them and get cash.Just made the game all the more fun.It was just like on the original Grand Theft Auto for Playstation, the only thing is that you could steal a taxi and get money for it on the original. I never played liberty stories though, I only played the new set of the GTA Series on the Xbox,I am pretty psyched about the GTAIV just need to get a Xbox360 as I am pretty sure it will be a multi-platform game.
