I never really thought about what would happen after death before. I guess it is up to what you believe in and such, but I think that we all live as spirits in another dimension of some sort. I am a Luthern Christian; however, I am not truly a religious person. I am an agnostic, so, I really don't take the afterlife into a religious perspective, but a scientific. For me, I guess I will just wait and see what happens when I die....sort of sad to think about though.

Well, the majority of PA has recieved a good amount of rain and snow, which cancelled school for the day. I am sort of glad that we were given another day off from school because the weekend went too fast. Anyway, does anyone else here live in Pennsylvania and was hit by this storm? There are tons of trees and such down all over the place. But I just can't believe that we got snow in the middle of April! Hmm...and then a lot of people do not think that our atmosphere is a bit....odd. LOL! I was just looking at a topic on global warming, and I have to say, I don't think we would be getting snow in the middle of April if our planet was warming up, but I do believe that there is a problem with our ozone layer and such. I can only hope that our brilliant scientists will find a way to take care of the situation before it gets too out of hand. Anyway, no school for the majority of students living in Pennsylvania today! A nice day for relaxation..and posting...LOL!

Currently, I am reading The Awakening by Kate Chopin for my 11th grade English class. I don't really care for the novel. Kate Chopin is just not one of my favorite authors! I think most of her plot matter is sort of repetitive and blunt. There just isn't any action in her novels. Well, The Awakening was heavily criticized when it first came out in the late 1800's or something like that. I guess this was a period of time before women's rights were out. That is basically the whole subject of the book: women's emancipation. The main character of the book, Edna Pontellier, is married to a somewhat controlling husband by the name of Leonce Pontellier. Well, the reader sees how Edna is starting to assert her independence and has this feeling of need to be free from her husband's grasp. She ends up falling in love with a dear friend of hers, Robert Lebrun; however, she kisses another man by the name of Alcee Arobin when Robert goes away to Mexico for some unknown reasons. So, Edna spends the majority of her time with Mme. Reisz, a very good pianist who is more than willing to play her music for Edna. The music soothes Edna's soul, and she feels that she can be free while with Reisz. Anyway, I last finished off with the part where Edna leaves her husband's home while he is away in New York on business. I will post more about my thoughts as I continue reading the book. I am glad to soon be done wit it....sort of a bore!

I agree with Empy! The book is very good, but the movie is somewhat...different. I mean, I didn't totally hate the movie, but I just didn't agree with the way the whole thing was planned out. I think they should have took out some of the nonessential parts in the plot and added the essential, if you all know what I mean. Well, I can only hope that the next movie will be somewhat better. I have a feeling that, after hearing some of the criticism going around on the web, they may try to improve the next in order to appease to the dedicated readers of the series. Speaking of, does anyone have any idea as to when the next movie is scheduled to come out, or did they not realease the date of expectancy yet? Also, what about the third book? I have been hearing so many theories about it, but none of which point to a date that it may come out? I heard that the third book is going to feature a green dragon, but this is just a theory.

Wow! That seems really cool! Is it a secure service? I have sort of had problems in the past with security and such. People have hacked into my accounts and looked up my messages and such, but I have a funny feeling that it was a few people in my home town playing jokes on me. Well, if it is secure, I will definitely sign up!

I get a ton of spam in my Gmail account. I think Yahoo was a lot better because I only got a couple of spam messages every now and then. Most of the spam I am getting, however, is from sites that I have registered on, such as free MP3 downloads and such...that kind of thing. I'm thinking about just buying an e-mail address that has better spam protection features and the like.

I am currently using Mozzilla Firefox. I use to use Internet Explorer, but after having quite a few problems with the browser, I was told to change to Firefox, and I have not had one single problem yet with it. So, I definitely have to give a round of applause to the creators of Firefox. I have heard that Opera is a pretty good browser as well, but I was wondering what everyone else's opinion was on Opera before I download it?

I saw the movie when it came out this past summer. It was very good! I was shocked to see that Captain Barbosa was coming back! In a way, I was sort of happy that they did bring him back because I thought he was just such a good captain. Not to mention, I think the actor is very good! He seems to be able to portray any character that he is given. I remember watching him in The Lord of the Rings. He played the role of the King of Rohan very well.

Hmmm...I wonder who will be the new Co-Headmaster. I bet it will be Rubeus Hagrid. Wouldn't that seem sort of....natural? I mean, he is obviously starting to mature from the first book to the sixth book. We can see how he sort of starts off as the typical "groundskeeper," and the staff just sort of put that on him. In the sixth book when McGonagall becomes Headmistress, she asks Hagrid for his opinion on closing the school. She said that she respects his opinions because Dumbledore did. We can see how Hagrid is starting to play an important role to the staff of Hogwarts. I don't know what the rest of you are thinking, but I bet he might as well become the next Co-Headmaster. Any thoughts?

Eragon and Eldest are pretty good books, but I don't think they are as good as Harry Potter. The Eragon movie was okay, but I really suggest that you read the book before seeing the movie (this goes for anyone who is thinking about seeing the movies). I just think the movie cuts so many important key elements from the novel that take away from the whole plot, but I still thought the movie was good. As for Harry Potter, I think this series got me to start reading a lot. I never use to read many books prior to reading the Sorceror's Stone, but I don't think I would have read the book without seeing the movie first and getting hooked on it. I am absolutely dieing for the last book in the series to come out. I personally believe that Dumbledore is still alive, despite JK Rowling's assertions that he is truly dead. What if he has the properties of a phoenix? We are not sure that he does not have this magical ability. Not to mention, what was up with Snape's Avada Kedavra curse? Is it not true that, when cast, the Avada Kedavra curse kills the victim instantly and not levitate the person in the air? Why did Dumbledore happen to levitate? Odd, if you ask me....

I'm probably not going to upgrade my system until the Windows XP system goes completely historical! LOL! I had Windows 95 for years after XP came out, and I only got XP because our Dell computer came with the system. Anyway, when the Vista version gets cheaper (as systems usually do with time), I will upgrade, but until then, I am happy with my XP system!

Hey Everyone!Okay, I am currently a high school junior, thinking about attending Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania! Has anyone ever heard of the university? Well, I have done a lot of research regarding the university, and it is definitely the school for me. I'm thinking about majoring in computer science (B.S.) and then going to graduate school for my Ph.D. I would really like to end up being a college professor of computer science one day, but I guess I will just have to see how it goes in my undergraduate years before I apply for my doctorate.

I personally believe in global warming. From my years of hard study in the physics area and my college dissertation, I have scientifically proved that global warming is a factor. Humans are the "main blame" for this entire situation as we have polluted our environment to an extreme. Because our ozone layer is made up of gases and partial H20, we are basically taking out the essential elements in the ozone and creating "holes" in it. If continued, we will not have an ozone layer. Did you know that the ozone layer is the primary thing in our universe that is protecting us from radiation and sun damage?
