Shirt Design I need some opinions on it,
Damen replied to Damen's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
Alright I finally had some time to mess around with it this morning and I did some stuff that was suggested her or on my other forums. I took out the nostril snort on the bull, and changed a lot of font, put in our year. I know that the "FLBA" font is kinda out there. I just don't want some normal Faux font for it. Any more suggestions are still welcome. -
Splinter Cell Series Vs. Metal Gear Solid Series Opinions?
Damen replied to squeaky's topic in Computer Gaming
I am also a fan of both series.I played all the old ones on the playstation one. They were both very great and fun to play. But they both have differed in game play. Splinter cell, to me, focused more on action stealth. Whereas Metal gear, also in my opinion, focus more on all stealth. I liked them both for different reasons. It just seemed that you got to shoot more and more action in Splinter cell, not as much in metal gear. But that might have changed in the most recent version of MG on the PS3. -

Well one great advantage to CSS is the ability to CHANGE your site with a couple little changes to the CSS code. For example:If you want to change the color of all your pages font and background color. IF you were using a CSS file all you would have to do is change two strings in that file, and BAM they are changed in all of your pages. It just makes things simpler to change, in my opinion.

I use my Archos. A lot of people have never even heard of them. But it is a hidden jewel. Mine is the Archos Gmini 404. It is a 20gig multimedia device. It play all medias, records video and takes pictures, has a file manager, and a recorder on it. The newer version are even more pretty and packed with even better stuff.

I think they have a great shot at competing with Apple on this. People like apple, but for the people who don't(me) they will go with the Gphone. For one they will do it in spite of Apple, and two because it does look like a great product.

Weird Password Problem Password change failed
Damen replied to Renaissance's topic in Web Hosting Support
I would say try typing your user name in lowercase. I don't know for sure if this will work but it seemed to work after my password change. Good luck. -
A lot of the time I will use Dreamweaver to set up the basics visually, then edit the code manually. Photoshop is also a must for all my graphics. I find a problem with the Macromedia(now Adobe) Dreamweaver is that newbies aren't learning the basics of web design. If they just go to this first then they will never be able to troubleshoot very well. That is my opinion at least.

Thanks, it worked for me!But I think I may have found what made this all happen. Before all of this happened I was using my username with a capital first letter and everything worked fine. Now when you changed my password it still wasn't working until I lowercased the first letter of the username. Maybe xisto changed something with allowing caps in our usernames? That may have made us think it was something wrong with our passwords, but wasn't.I don't know really. and there isn't really a way of checking if I am right. Thanks again though.

I know how you feel.It sucks not being able to access my Cpanel either.I am positive that I didn't just forget my password either.I have sent in a report ticket and I guess that is all we can do.

Although it may be unneeded I suppose I should state I am having the same problems and am going to submit a ticket. Please, if any receives a response let us all know of it.

Please tell me what you think! Made it for one of my friends, Katie.

I decided to go look through some Adobe Bridge Stock photos and see what I could do for them to make them a little more interesting. So here is what I started with. After some editing of color balance, exposure, levels and brushing in some background this is what I ended with. I know that the colors of the clothes changed some, but I thought they were to bland in the old one. Brighten up the photo some. Any suggestions, or what you do or do not like is appreciated. I will try to do some more of different things also. Okay after getting some suggestions from another forum that I use I have edited it some. I have reverted the shirt to it's original stage then cut it out of the body. Then I hued it to match the background, cut out the undershirt then brought the brightness down on it to create a little more depth. Then I covered his bald spot as asked. I also made the background a little darker to match the new colors. A little better? Also a black and white version that I don't like so much. Notice from rvalkass: Posts merged. Please make good use of the edit button. Thanks.

I use cricket as my mobile service, if anyone is not famliar with them a little something. With my package:($57/month)They have unlimited minutes all the time, unlimited text & picture message, caller ID, free long distance, some other things.Well the only problem I EVER have with them is their phone prices!, let alone the small selection.I was wondering if anyone can help me with a questions here.Do you think they will let me purchase a phone, one they support already, from somewhere else and have them program it to use Cricket?Unlocked or locked, I don't know if this applies to all phones or not but I know if it is locked they can't.Do you know of any service providers ever allowing this? Thanks :XD:

Help! Firefox And Ie Not Playing Nice! Div overflow problems
Damen replied to Damen's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Well to start fresh. Co.Nr was not the one doing it on me. I have uploaded it here also with no redirection. http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ It still does the same thing. The CSS for this is embedded inside the file. Any other possible problems? Maybe run your checker again on the link above. -

http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ That is the live link. When I say not stretching I mean height. Take a look at what I mean. -
I recently made a website for a friend. http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ Now, here is the problem. It seems if you load it with FF the middle section background will not strech. But if you use IE it will. Does anyone know why this is happening or how to fix it? Here is the code I have in the index file. <head><meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1" /><title>The Quotes</title><style type="text/css">a{ color: #ffffff; size:-1;}</style></head><body bgcolor="#910A99"><center><div style="height:449px; background-image:url(top.gif); width:664px; background-repeat:no-repeat"></div><div style="background-image:url(middle.gif); width:664px; height:100px; background-repeat:repeat-y;"> <div align="left"> <blockquote> <blockquote> <blockquote> <p> <!--Insert your quotes after this hun. The following is an example of how one would look.--> <font color="#4B0082">Go to page: <a href="quotes.html">1</a> | <a href="quotes2.html">2</a> | <a href="quotes3.html">3</a> | <a href="quotes4.html">4</a> | <a href="quotes5.html">5</a> | <a href="quotes6.html">6</a></font> <br><h2><font color="white">Page 1</font></h2><br><hr>ALL OF THE QUOTES EDITED OUT<hr> </p> </blockquote> </blockquote> </blockquote> </div></div><div style="height:265px; background-image:url(bottom.gif); width:664px; background-repeat:no-repeat"></div></center><div style="position:absolute; z-index:1; top:1px; left:1px;"><img src="logo.gif" /></div></body></html>

I know PHP, but the reason that I didn't want to use it, especially what you put up(No offense) Was because or two or more reasons.1.)People could view that password through "view source code" That is easy to avoid by just using a mySQL database to hold hashed passwords but then come the other problem.2.)Lets say I put that file as "damen.trap17.com/login.php" they go to that to login, but what stops them from just going to the other site via url? Nothing.Plus it is always good to learn some more stuff that you didn't before. Now I know how to do my own Error pages. Thanks for trying to help anyways though! You can see what I have now by going to http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ but you will not be able to log in.

Well I think going about this through the .htaccess will be the best bet, and most secure. I can get the message to pop up but for some reason it won't take the passes I gave it. Here is a link the passworded dir. http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ . Here is the code for the .htaccess I have in that dir. AuthName "Restricted Area" AuthType Basic AuthUserFile /pass/.htpasswd AuthGroupFile /dev/null require valid-user and then I have a folder in the "proxy" dir called pass. That is where my .htpasswd file is at. here is what I have in the .htpasswrd file int he "pass" dir. (I am not going to put my passwords even though they are hashed. I will only put the example one. Damen:-censored-Jon:-censored-Josh:-censored-Xisto:3QzQ33Gs8qREU The password for the Xisto user is test . But for some reason it just doesn't go the the page after you type the username and pass in. The pass dialog box flashes and just clears the values. Any ideas?

But my question before I try this is, will this stop someone from accessing the file by typing in the url path directly?
