Guys, there is no longer a need to post which sites are not working. Read previous posts please. Information has been given that the Server Admins are looking into our problem here. So try to just be patient. A free service going down once in a while is not the end of the world, as waiting a day without your site will also not be.

Just to extentuate the problem, I have having trouble loading my site also. I can not load any of theirs also.

Since I think this is more of an update I am not appending it to my previous post, which is a couple days old. Hope that is not a problem. I have went with Rvalkass's suggestion for the product. I went through a different company though. The company, Edimax, also offers a PoE version(Power over ethernet) for ten Us dollars more. That is a very good thing to have with it because with that, later on, I could have it in a very remote place(i.e. no power outlets like a roof). but I didn't buy it for that sole reason. It also comes with a 4dbi high gain antenna! Which is a big upgrade from the version for ten less dollars. both versions come with a removable antenna but with a 4dbi high gain one coming with it I don't think I will need to. considering my wifi router only has a 2dbi stock on it that isn't removable! I think what server means by "scratching" their backs is this.Something like: "If you do decide to sponsor us, you can expect increased purchases due to our site being music based. Numerous music enthusiasts come to our site and may be persuaded by your references on our site, which will lead to web page views, in the end a result of increased purchases!"correct me if I am wrong server, but I think this was one point you were trying to make.And of course lockdown, which is a big scratch if you give them a broad basis like ALL musical related companies, but not so much if it is just a certain guitar company.Hope I have been able to clear stuff up.

All right, thanks for everyones help, I believe that all I have to do now is decide on a place! I really couldn't find many places that would sell just domain names, they all came with hosting which isn't what we need.Anyone know of a good site for that?

Just give it more time, as they keep stating it can take a max of 72 hours (Three days). So before you start messing with settings give it that time. Because if you change things while it is getting set up and what not bad things can always happen, best to leave it alone. I know it must be killing you because of the activity you are losing but just bare with it!

Well I may go with your find there jlhaslip! I don't use ebay but from that product name I found it from their company for $45 http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ There is a link for anyone who might be looking for a similar product. Well after looking through the specs of it, it seems to do everything I need and it still supports WPA2. Just gonna do a little more researching on it, maybe some reviews but it looks promising! I researched that also rvalkass. The only reason I haven't dead set my mind on that decision is because of my current set up. No matter where I can think of putting the repeater it would still impede on my connect quality. So although it may be more of a hassle to do it with a router, it will give me a much larger and more stable, I think, network. Plus if I go with the second router I can always expand on that and add another wired desktop connect in another part of the house with it.I do appreciate your suggestion though, and I hate how everything looks soo cheap in euros! ha.

Yup dd-w rt is another firmware they have for that router. From that setup guide though they only talk about if you are using WDS with both of the wifi routers being WRT54G routers. So i'm not positive on it. I am pretty set on buying this router. What I will do is buy it in a couple days, try what omarsdali said, since that seems to be a very easy and safe way if it works. Then, if it doesn't work I will try what we have been looking at SM.

Is there a specific static IP I should assign to it?

Well in all of these routers I am looking at I can not find WDS in the specs on them. But I did find this when I search for a specific router and WDS together. If I were to buy the "Linksys WRT54G Wireless-G Router" and a third part firmware to supposedly "unlock" the WDS feature. The firmware called HyperWRT. If you take a second to read this little passage it explains exactly what I want and need to do, but the only thing I don't know is if they used a cable inbetween the two routers like I want to. I'm not sure if it is the safest way to go though. Link to passage I found a product that is a wireless signal repeater alone, which is "Belkin F5D7132" but from numerous reviews it was a giant hassle to setup with a security enabled network, but I could get around that with some help from people here. But another things is that it seems to just be stand alone and needs to be in a place where there is already a signal and then retransmits it from there. If you understand what I mean. I'm not sure if I can also use that with it wired to my router.

I have a problem with how my current wireless router is set up, in a certain room I do not get a signal because of all the obstructions in the way of the signal. So instead of moving the wireless to another point and risk having the same problem but for a different room I have a question.If I buy another wireless router and set it up in the room of no signal, then run a Ethernet from that router to my wireless one downstairs it should work. But instead of having two separate wireless connections I was wondering if there is an specific way to use a wireless router as an access point?I tried searching for "wireless access point" on amazon thinking maybe there are certain hardware routers that are specifically used for access points. Only found a few, expensive, results.So, if I were to do what I stated above and just use the new wireless router as an access point somehow to just extend the same signal, will it work? and how?Also, if you have any good recommendations for an access point please post them, I am currently using a 108mb/s wirelessG netgear router.

My friend, Sabina, has a domain(http://www.binaland.com/). She hosts her files on one of her friends hard drives somehow for their online use. He has some static IP thing or something like that. But her problem comes to be that his drive always crashes and she has to reload everything back up there. So I offered to help her out.I want to know a way to add her domain to my Xisto account and it would be easy enough uploading the files. Does it cost me any credits to add a domain too? I know I could most likely find out through cPanel but I want to make sure I do it all right with no mess ups.Also, does she have to change anything with her domain company?Thanks for any helpful advice in advance.

You know, my answer is two part to this.I am not against abortion, yet I won't say I am for it. It is true that I am pro-choice, but I don't want to seem like a monster. I believe in conditional abortion, which means that if a baby is going to be born into an unfair environment then I support an abortion of that child. But I don't agree with abortion of perfectly able families, if this family had enough sense to have sex then they need to take the consequences. But you may say the same is for the less fortunate group, yes the parents are at fault, but I don't agree in just letting a child be born into a horrible environment just to punish the parents, but if the parents can support a child then they must. I also believe that it should be a group decision between the parents instead of how it is with just the mother getting to make the choice. People say that, hey the mother had to carry the child then they should have the choice. But the baby is as much the fathers as it is the mothers, the father had to put up with the late nights and supporting the mother. And to support my point, if the father doesn't want the baby to born but the mother does, then technically it should just be the mothers fault for having to support the child, but no we make the father pay child support. Then of course there are always rape victims, I believe that their abortions are totally moral and a sane decision and nothing can be done to avoid that.I hope this was understandable.

I have been dating my girlfriend for close to two months now. Things have been fine, there have been a couple days where we were a little moody towards each other but nothing as bad as it is right now. It all started with her just coming to school in a bad mood one day and I asked her what was wrong a couple times and she said "nothing" when it was clear something was. She wouldn't tell me for the life of her, which kinda made me mad and sad at the same time because I don't know why she doesn't think she could trust me. I mean I have never done anything wrong to her, and I have known and been friends with her for two years now. Well that kinda made me in a bad mood, but I got over it. Then lately it seems that she has kinda been distant from me, like seeming that she really doesn't care to be around me or not. If I were to call her on the phone, she would never call me, I would have to hug her and not the other way around. And I now understand that some people may just be like that, some people aren't just people who show affection all the time, but I am, and it really kills me when she acts like that. And all of this I have told her before. I am so open with her I couldn't explain to you. Well she didn't really change at all in the coming weeks. My friend Ashley who has known her for a great deal longer than I said that I just have to give it time, and I have been, but I don't want us to grow distant, and seem like I don't care how she is feeling because I do! But a couple days ago I was really depressed, and after the whole day of ignoring me she came up and asked why I look sad. And I said because I am, she asked why and I said because it just doesn't seem like you care if I am around, and she got that defensive tone and said well that's just how I am, and I understand but you just gotta realize that it hurts me. she just walked off. Well I gave her an hour to think about what I said and I stopped her to talk again. I just said that you gotta realize what I mean jenny. She got mad and said I am not going to change just for you, and I said that's okay you don't have too, she said I wasn't planning on it. So two days later and she is still mad at me?! She won't talk to me long enough to explain why, and she won't hug me. I love her so much, she says she does but I can't see it in her eyes. A friend and I have this little inside joke thing that I would like to share with you and to have your opinion on! She is a gummy bear fan, I am a gummy worm fan! People who like the opposites are supposed to be barred from being friends but we live in the tunnels and outside the law! lol Well I think gummy worms are better for a couple reasons: first of all, you get more gummy for the money(they are larger), secondly, I would rather not eat a cute little animal! I would MUCH rather eat something that is not thought of as a cute thing, and thirdly, they are much more fun to eat! you can stretch them around, fold around your finger, slurp them, eat them lady and the tramp style with your significant other! Well I wish mine were the same way! With my school they OVER protect it, they block everything and they also block access to everything! It seems like they must have ten firewalls! Well even though I am in out AOIT program which deals with our schools network and management out network administrator is very strict with telling us what he does. We have numerous wireless access points around the school and NO ONE is told the passwords, not even the teachers. If they want to use the wireless our admin has to go put the password in for them. It's not just our school either, it is our whole district. For example, at one point me and my friends had to do research for a paper we had and it was about Abraham Lincoln and we tried to google a picture of him and it blocked everything with the reason of "Pornography" it was hilarious and stupid at the same time. I mean since we are senior high students you think that they would trust a little more than what they do. I can understand blocking sites like myspace, which students always find a new proxy to get around the blocks anyways.So maybe it is just your school that is like this? I thought that there were more protected schools that not, or at least from what I usually hear. Do you happen to live in some kind of small town or is it just that they aren;t very tech savy?Either way, there are most likely pros and cons to having it be so open!It isn;t very hard to install easy firewalls into a server, maybe you should ask them to hire you?! lol

I recently bought a laptop(HP Pavilion dv9000) with integrated wireless and I wanted to set-up wireless in my house. So, I bought a wireless router, more specifically I bought a Netgear 108mps router, https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0000C0XS0. Now I got the wireless router before I got the router and set it up. But made all of the correct connections and ran the setup wizard. I got no errors or anything. I set the security to WPA2 and set the passphrase and everything correctly also. Now, when I got my laptop I set it up and everything and it found my wireless network in range so I entered all of information and it connected! So far so good right? But after it connected I will mysteriously drop the connection, my internet will just stop working and a minute later it will show the connection dropped in the taskbar, when I double click the wireless connection icon down there it says it doesn't find any wireless networks in range. (We can rule out me being too far away because I have tested it all right next to the router) I then found out if I go downstairs and open the routers online configuration page and go to wireless settings and click "save" (without having to change anything) my laptop then connects and stays connected for a while before I have to repeat this whole process. Now what I would like to know is, is it my router doing it. or is it my laptop? And which ever it is how can I fix this? I have tried unplugging the modem and router for a bit and reconnecting it all but it didn't solve my dropping problems. Thanks for any help in advance.
