A lot of people I have talked to say firefox is way better than Internet Explorer, but then I found out that without Microsoft Internet Explorer on your computer you cannot run firefox since firefox uses microsoft internet explorer to run.

It is hard on computers, but I have an older computer in which I leave on for days straight, just for downloading purposes.

Make sure you get a core 2 duo, those processors rock! Remember not to go cheap on the power supply, it is the backbone of the computer. Get corsair memory or higher rated memory like that. If you don't have a place to buy parts from yet I would recommend newegg.com.

I think dells are better. I have one, and it is easy to upgrade. My friend has an HP and it is very hard to upgrade. They have a big plastic piece that holds the drive bays and is difficult to get off, you pretty much have to break it.

I like windows, I am kind of anti-apple (dont want to offend anyone). I would like to run a server with linux, because windows servers are way to easy to hack.

I won't upgrade for about 6 months, there is just too many bugs. I will stay with XP for quite a while, maybe until I have to upgrade, haha.

I have starting using cashcrate and I kinda like it. It doesn't require a credit card, which is what I like most. Most offers are between .50 to $2, but some can be up to $35. It is very easy to use. They send you a check every month if you reach the min. $10. I made about $15 in a day, just messing around with it for a little while. You get paid for doing surveys. I was looking on the counter-strike website and they will put ads on your site for counter-strike servers. When people rent counter-strike servers through your site (the ads on your site), you will get 20% of what counter-strike makes from the people that sign up because of you. I thought this was cool, maybe even better than google adsense?

I just have basic DSL, I would like to have high speed cable but it's not as stable.
