  1. first off, is your server not running good on windows, or does it work just fine? Do you use this computer for anything besides running the call of duty server?
  2. http://www.phylomortis.com/html/rgss.html That site has tutorials and sample scripts available for download.
  3. portableapps is great, especially if you use computers at school, libraries, and other places that place a lot of restrictions on what you do. If I forget a paper at home, I can just use filezilla to connect to my home server and grab the file. Unfortunatly Firefox doesn't work on my school's computers for some reason, so I'm tied down to internet explorer. They also need to put out some more games
  4. here it's 7:20 in the morning untill 2:22 in the afternoon. We're required to take 4 credits in english, 2 in math (4 if you plan on continuing your education), 2 in science (4 if you plan on continuing your education), 3 credits in history/social studies, 2 credits in physical education/health, and 9 elective credits. Our high school isn't the greatest, seeing as the building is falling apart and a lot of the kids that go there are jerks. I like all the teachers I've had so far, so I do (somewhat) enjoy going to school.The school runs a closed campus, so nobody's allowed to leave without an excuse (and they're really strict about enforcing this). We get days when they'll lock everybody in the classrooms and have the drug sniffing dogs search the school for drugs.
  5. It is a really nice set of programs, but as ffanatics said there are alternate programs out there that cost a lot less than photoshop/creative suite
  6. soccer - I have been playing soccer for about 11 years now. I played JV in my sophmore year in high school and right now I'm playing indoor with my club team.basketball - quit after I got cut from the seventh grade teamtrack - running the 800, 1600, and 3200 for the second year in a row. I have my first meet for the year tommorowbaseball - I played it at a recreational level for about 11 years. Still love playing it, but I don't think I'm good enough to make the high school team
  7. I agree with this. Though I didn't learn it in a day myself, if I had put forth more effort I could have probably gotten a better grasp on the language. Since I didn't though it did take me a couple of weeks (2 or 3) to get a decent grasp on the language.
  8. according to wordpress.org, They're generally used to make urls simpler to remember.if mod_rewrite is available, you could set up an .htaccess file that looks like this: <IfModule mod_rewrite.c>RewriteEngine onRewriteRule ^index/([0-9]+)/([0-9]+)/?$ /index.php?id=$1&cat_id=$2 [L]</IfModule>This would make it so that the link site.com/index/11/223/ would actually be site.com/index.php?id=11&cat_id=223 EDIT: here are a couple of resources you could look at for mod_rewrite: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ https://www.sitepoint.com/guide-url-rewriting/
  9. if you want to use a .htacces file, you can use something like this, where 111.111.111.111 is the ip address you want to block: order allow,denydeny from 111.111.111.111allow from all
  10. each element that is add to your table is separated by a aposthrophy, so you can't have them in your link unless you add an escape character (which in php is \ ) before the apostrophy in the link (as Saga said). $query = "insert into templates (tuid,tname,tdescription,template,archivedefault) values (1,'Sample Archive Template','A sample archive template that only shows the name of the article with a link to the default article viewer.','<a href=\'viewarticle1.php?aid=[id]\'>[articletitle]</a>',FALSE)"; This code replaces [id] and [articletitle] with $id and $title: $query = "insert into templates (tuid,tname,tdescription,template,archivedefault) values (1,'Sample Archive Template','A sample archive template that only shows the name of the article with a link to the default article viewer.','<a href=\'viewarticle1.php?id=". $id . "\'>".$title."</a>',FALSE)";
  11. you could try encrypting the code. http://php-encoder.phpcipher.qarchive.org/

    Hello

    I'm not the best at wrting introductions, but I'll give it a shot. I live in Wisconsin (US) and I am currently a high school sophmore. I know html, css, php, c++, and a little bit of python and perl. I enjoy running track, playing soccer, and playing the guitar (I have a crappy little Epiphone electric guitar). One of my friends is hosted by you guys, and I figured I'd check it out.I think that's all I'll need to say to indruduce myself.
