  1. Well, yeah, some people have terminal illnesses and various other things that mean they may die at any time, but at the same time, what's to say that when I leave the house this morning, I won't get run over? The 'end' can hit anyone, at anytime, in anyplace, so everyone should listen to what's in that letter and take advantage of today, rather than procrasinating and wasting time. After all, if you spend an hour just laying on the couch doing nothing, you'll never get that hour back.
  2. Theft, in a word. And yeah, I knew about this trick a couple of years ago, some guys in my school used to do it all the time. I didn't agree with it then either. This kind of stuff really should not be posted here.
  3. Reading this thread I can't help but think of the .hack/ series.Fact of the matter is though, we survived before the internet and if it were ever taken down, even temporarily, we'd survive without it as we did before (though it'd be an admittedly huge blow to alot of people and businesses)
  4. Lots of things make us human. Our ability to think creatively, communicate with each other, recognise our own reflections, make tools for ourselves, set morals and rules, our understanding of those morals and rules, our optential to break those rules, our social limitations, y'know all the stuff that you just plain don't do because it's not acceptable and just plain wrong ... Lots and lots of things make us human.
  5. Yeah, I kept getting told that the suitless part in the Space Pirates' ship was extremely difficult, but I just got past that first time this morning. Now got the Gravity Suit and heading for the final boss. The game is alot easier than most people make it out to be.
  6. Vista fails to impress me, especially with their move to downgrade the quality of anything you rip to prevent piracy.I've always hated Windows restrictions and forced "essential" updates and upgrades. Not only that, but all these so-called essential updates force you to check whether your Windows is genuine. Why can't it just do it the one time, rather than run the check every single damned time?If anything, MicroSoft own your PC, not you, the way I see it. They constantly place barriers on you and make you download things and Vista seems to be taking it that bit further, only now it has unnecesary '3D' windows with which to browse your files and eats away at more precious RAM.
  7. If you guys were reading you'd have noted that it's been proven it was PhotoShopped. I personally don't see what's quite so funny about 'Engrish', it's simply down to pronounciation and doesn;t affect people's ability to spell at all.Sorry to sound quite so arsey but it annoys me when people jump in with the Reply button and LOL away, acting as if it's real.
  8. This is one of those games that I never bought, and regretted it when it immediately became a rare and hard to come by game.Thankfully, the Gaming Gods must have been smiling on me three days ago, when I managed to find a copy of Minish Cap, boxed, in perfect condition, for ?25 (this was the same day I got Metroid: Zero Mission for ?13, the same shop even).I've only just left Minish Woods and learnt the Spin Attack, due to some extremely casual playing and alot of socialising and doing College work, but I've got to say it's living up to the Zelda name so far.One thing that bugged me though, is that after you complete the first dungeon in the Minish Woods, you're kind of just thrown back into the world, told to speak to someone on a mountain, not even knowing where this mountain is. And after running around collecting Kinstones and Rupees for a while and seeing if I cpould explore Hyrule Town Minish size so early on, I finally figured out I had to show the guard to the west the Spin Attack to proceed. What was annoying about that part was the complete lack of direction, the game didn't nudge me west at all, it turned out to be luck. I talked to the guard, he mentioned the Spin Attack and I was like "Oh ... That's how I get to the next bit". Some of you may laugh at that, but it really was not clear, and now that I'm in that area, I find I can't actually climb the mountain, and according to a Deku Scrub, I'm suppposed to buy an item from a cave that I can't even seem to get to.And this isn't me not using my brain, the start of the game and first dungeon was a piece of cake. I've played Link to the Past, Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask and Wind Waker and never were those games so confusing and annoying as to how to actually move forward, well, not so much how to move forward, more how to get there, and I can see it being the bane of my enjoyment of the game.
  9. Just NotePad and PhotoShop for me, but starting tomorrow I might start using Flash too (yay for College, getting this stuff taight to you by an actual human being rather than reading confusing online tutorials).
  10. To be honest, I learnt HTML more or less overnight, and I recently started learning Flash.Combine either of these with PhotoShop and it's handy dandy slicing tool and you can easily create professional looking pages. And when you consider that you usually need to pay for these templates or link to the site you got it from, you may as well just learn to make them yourself, it's alot more beneficial to you.
  11. I have a couple of friends who'd love the duck one! I might actually see if I can get them one each seeing as those girls have glow in the dark rubber ducks, giant (and I mean giant) rubber ducks, rubber duck soap holders ... You get the idea. The thumb one seems like a nice idea for a Halloween gift, just for the novelty and the "My God ... Just when Halloween couldn't get any worse" value. The sushi and various food ones I've seen before, I wasn't impressed then and I'm not impressed now.As for the Barbie ... Well, that'd be really inconvenient. The point of a USB drive is that it's portable, who wants to carry a Barbie around as their USB drive? You may as well get an external hard drive. The only place I see this being put to good use is in an amateur spy movie.
  12. Dude, be very careful. It's not uncommon for us guys to misinterpret girls and end up getting completely the wrong idea. I should know I've done it several times. In fact, reading into things that aren't there in the first place has made me destroy one good friendship and I've had to work hard to restore the former glory of another. The problem is that you tend to get into a "best friend" or "brother" position, which then makes any moves in the relationship department redundant and extremely dangerous.Ask yourself if you're willing to risk the friendship you have with this girl first.

    Hotmail With 1gb

I stopped using GMail simply because e-mails sent through their service just kept getting sent back as undelivered, I don't know if that's just me or not, but either way it put me off.I've been with Hotmail for a while and have never encountered any problems with their services. My account always has been and always will be free, and a while back my inbox was increased from being 25MB to being 250MB.The fact that they're increasing it further is simply fantastic news and I applaud Microsoft for it.
  14. This guy's probably a bot. He's only made one post, and it's to try and get us to join a "Make Money Quick" program. Not only that, but that emoticon was used by every single bot that's attacked another forum I frequently visit and has kind of become known as their trademark with me and that forum's many members. Also, his signature has been edited to say "No referal links" which, in my mind, more or less proves that this guy is a simple bot.
  15. This smells like a scam! There's no way I'm downloading anything from one of the many "Make money for surfing the net" sites out there, that's for sure. Also, the guy who created this thread just seems like some faceless promoter trying to trick us all, I mean, look at the wording of his initial post, it actually gives very few details and alot of glorified promises. Also, it states that you'll be earning shares in a company. Which company exactly? What are the shares worth? How difficult is it to actually obtain these shares and how much of it do you have to do?I'd advise people to stay away from this site.
